Abstract

The purpose of this study was to produce a website-based online counseling service application for guidance and counseling students and teachers at SMK Telkom Makassar. The approach of this research is R&D/Research and Development. This research was conducted through seven main stages, namely, (1) Initial research and information gathering, (2) Planning, (3)  Preparation of the initial model format, (4) conducting an early stagetrial, (5) revise the main model, (6) conduct a field trial of the main model, (7) revise the operational model. Testing of application products that are validated by 1 material expert and 1 expert on the distribution of learning media that has been developed. The method used to analyze the data is a quantitative descriptive analysis technique with a predetermined score distribution and scale category. The results of the validation of the learning media are: (1) The material expert assesses that it is very feasible with a percentage of (88.88%). (2) Media experts considered it very feasible with a percentage of (79.1%). Based on these results, the online counseling service application that has been developed is suitable for use in providing counseling services at SMK Telkom Makassar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the description of cyber bullying behavior in schools, to know the implementation of assertive training on cyber bullying behavior and to know the effect of assertive training on cyber bullying behavior before and after treatment. This research is quantitative using the true-experimental design approach. A sample of 31 people. The results of the study are; (1) almost all students have bullied or there are 32% where they do bullying such as taunting, tweaking, humiliating and posting it on the Internet, and students take steps to report to the teacher in the event of bullying or about 59% of students do it. (2) Assertive training activities on cyber bullying behavior carried out in 4 (four) sessions: introductions, assertive explanations, assertive behavior such as honest behavior, expressing thoughts and feelings, identifying behavior desired by clients and expectations, expressing ideas that irrational, attitudes and misunderstandings in the minds of clients / students. Communication skills and dare to say no through “Speak UP”. (3) From the result’s hypothesis, hypothesis, testing provision, assertive training is very influential on the behavior of bullying in schools. For experimental group and experimental group did not have a significant change.

Abstract

This study aimed to presents: (1) an overview of internal motivation to learn the behavior of students, both in following the lectures; (2) an overview of external motivation to study the behavior of students; (3) describe the picture of students' perceptions of the value obtained; (4) an overview of ways to earn graduate students. This study uses a quantitative approach to implementation is the way the survey. Locutions research, the Faculty of Education State University of Makassar. Sources of data in this study, student faculty of the State University of Makassar class education 2011-2012. Data collection techniques used are: questionnaire and documentation. Data analysis was performed in an interactive and continuous progress through to completion. Results showed motivation for attending is very large, and they have a huge desire to get a passing grade.

Abstract

The objectives of this study: (1) to describe the need for developing a virtual boarding school room model to attract students' interest in participating in counseling and guidance services, (2) to determine the prototype of a virtual boarding school room model and (3) to determine the validity and practicality of the virtual boarding school room model. This study uses the research and development method (Research & Development) developed by Borg and Gall. Data analysis used quantitative data analysis. The subjects in this study consisted of learning media experts, counseling guidance experts, BK practices and students who were taken using random sampling techniques. The results showed that (1) the development of a virtual counseling room model was needed by BK teachers and students, (2) a prototype virtual counseling room model was a media created using a google slide application that contained several counseling guidance services, (3) a room model Virtual counseling has the value of usability, service, and accuracy so that it is declared valid and practical to be used as media guidance and counseling.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the need for pictorial multiple intelligence inventory for early grade students, (2) to find out the description of inventory forms, (3) to test usability, accuracy, and feasibility of the inventory, and (4) to know validity and reliability of the Inventory. The method of this research is a development research by using the research stages of Borg and Gall development research. Data is collected through interview, observation, and questionnaire, and the data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that (1) inventory was needed by teachers and students in Darul Istiqamah Bongki, (2) The inventory was developed using orthogonal item extracts with alternative choices Yes and No. The inventory consists of eight sessions representing each Multiple Intelligences. (3) the results of expert validation tests show inventory products included in the criteria are very useful, very feasible and very appropriate. (4) the results of the validity test using Product Moment Correlation also show good validity on inventory, while the results of the reliability test with Cronbach Alpha show an alpha value of 0.729> 0.6 so that inventory has good reliability. This means that the substance of the Pictorial Multiple Intelligences Inventory developed has met the criteria of useful, feasible and appropriate, valid and reliable so that it can be used as a tool to map the plural intelligence of early grade students.

Abstract

The research aims to (1) the description of development needs of Guidance and Counseling  Video Media to Reduce Bullying Behavior, (2) the prototype  of Guidance and Counseling  Video Media to Reduce Bullying Behavior which is valid and acceptable, (3) the acceptance of Guidance and Counseling  Video Media to Reduce Bullying Behavior in SMAN 5 Makassar. The research was development  research or research and development which was based on research stages by Borg and Gall. The research employed collecting data technique through interview and scale. The results of research revealed that (1) the description of needs level of Guidance and Counseling  Video Media to Reduce Bullying Behavior showed that the video media very important and needed, (2) the prototype of Guidance and Counseling  Video Media developed was already valid and acceptable to Reduce Bullying Behavior, (3) the acceptance of Guidance and Counseling Media Video which was given to 10 students in small group test showed that there was change of bullying behavior level before and after viewing Guidance and Counseling Video Media. This meant that  guidance and counseling media video could reduce bullying behavior.

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out (1) the description of media analysis. (2) the prototype of pubertal guidance application media. (3) the validity and practicality of the guidance application media for mild intellectual disabled students, made in the form of an application designed to display several lessons. This research method is a research and development (R&D), stage of research by Borg & Gall. Researchers applied interview data collection, questionnaires, and validation test instruments. The results showed that (1) an overview of the media needs for pubertal guidance applications was required for teachers and students with mild intellectual disability for puberty guidance (2) a prototype of pubertal guidance application media was developed in the form of an android application contained material contents, videos, and evaluations (3) based on a test, the validity and the practicality of the pubertal guidance application was valid and practical, applicable on the pubertal guidance class for mild intellectual disability students.

Abstract

The study aimed at discovering (1) the description of the need of “problem box  e-counseling” Android-based application as a medium for students’ problem disclosure, (2) the prototype of “problem box e-counseling” Android-based application as a medium for students’ problem disclosure, and (3) the acceptance of “problem box e-counseling” Android-based application as a medium for students’ problem disclosure. This study is a development, The data were collected by interview and questionnaire techniques. This study revealed that (1) there is a high need of “problem box e-counseling” Android-based application as a medium for students’ problem disclosure at SMA Islam Athirah I Makassar (2) the prototype of “problem box e-counseling” Android-based application as a medium for students’ problem disclosure at Athirah I Islamic High School Makassar (3) the acceptance of each subject of research expert test, namely the counseling media expert, technology expert in education, and counseling practitioner in the initial product test showing positive response. Thus, the application can be accepted, and based on a test involving 10 students and a school counselor in the small group test; it indicates a very positive response (high), so it can be accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of traditional games as a medium of counseling in improving the social skills of students and know the influence of traditional games as a medium of counseling in improving students' social skills. The research used quasi experiment with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design design research. The samples used purposive sampling with 12 experimental group and 12 control group. Instrument using social skill scale. The findings of this study reveal that 1) the level of social skills of students in SMP Negeri 18 Makassar before being treated in the form of traditional games are in the "low" category and after being given a traditional game increases or is in the 'high' category. 2) there is a significant positive effect of traditional games in improving students' social skills. That is, the students' social skills can be improved by the provision of traditional games.
