Abstract

Three types of temptations in the world that often make people complacent, namely property, thrones, and women. The Qur'an also explains the danger of these three temptations. Her alluring appeal does not infrequently make people forget the Lord so they easily fall and fall into a hole of humiliation. All three are forms of tests and trials; dazzling mirages that make people forget their main task in this world. If humans consider all three as a measure of the success of life, then be prepared to regret it in the afterlife. All of that is essentially a facility and loan from Allah SWT to be used to worship Him, not the final target of life. Especially if humans love him more than his love for Allah and His Messenger, then wait for the time when he is humiliated by Allah SWT before His creatures.

Abstract

The process of learning from home during the Covid-19 pandemic, which is generally sedentary, causes changes in the basic functions of the body. In addition, lack of knowledge about movement and basic body functions and minimal checking of student body posture at school can have an impact on decreasing student fitness, concentration, and achievement. This can be seen when students began to be active again to carry out 100% learning from schools after the Covid-19 pandemic. The purposes of this community service activity are to provide preventive and curative efforts through educational assistance and examination of movements and basic body functions to increase student insigh about ideal body posture. This activity was carried out at SMA Negeri 85 West Jakarta with a target of 35 students, through four main activities: (1) preparation and production of educational materials about movements and basic body functions, (2) mentoring and delivery of material to the students, (3) examine movements and basic body functions, and (4) evaluate. The results achieved during the implementation showed the seriousness and enthusiasm of the students and based on the results of the examination, there were still students who had abnormal BMI and abdominal circumference. Likewise for body posture, examination of the upper extremities with a neck shoulder line test and examination of the lower extremities with true length and appearance length tests found dissimilarities between the right and left sides of the body. Furthermore, in the examination of body functions through isometric and prone plank tests, there are scores below the normal score, which means that there is a decrease in basic body functions like muscle strength and endurance. The results of this examination are evaluated and students will be able to recognize their body posture and take actions/steps that can maintain/ improve the posture to be better.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplor Strategi Guru Akidah Akhlak dalam Membentuk Akhlakul Karimah siswa kelas VII. Guru harus mempunyai strategi dalam membentuk akhlakul karimah siswa dan membuat siswa berperilaku baik selama di dalam kelas maupun dilingkungan sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, yang mewawancarai dua informan penelitian yaitu guru akidah akhlak dan peserta didik kelas VII. Data dianalisis menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang dilakukan oleh guru akidah akhlak dalam membentuk akhlakul karimah siswa kelas VII MTs Al Fajar Sei Mencirim yaitu dengan memberikan arahan dan pengetahuan kepada siswa tentang akhlakul karimah, menggunakan strategi berbasis proyek dalam pembelajaran, memberikan teladan kepada siswa, dan memanfaatkan fasilitas sekolah sebagai pendukung dalam membentuk akhlakul karimah siswa.

Abstract

Smoking among adolescents is a pressing public health issue, considering its serious impact on physical and mental health during the developmental period. This community service activity aimed to increase knowledge, foster anti-smoking attitudes, and equip students with skills to refuse cigarettes. This intervention was conducted through socialization and education methods involving 90 students at SMPN 191 West Jakarta, followed by an evaluation. Initial evaluation results showed high risk factors in the students’ environment: 68.89% had smoking family members, 51.11% had been offered cigarettes by friends, and 8.89% of students admitted to having tried smoking. After the education was provided, the evaluation results showed that all students had a good understanding of the dangers of smoking and stated they would refuse if offered cigarettes. It was concluded that education and socialization are effective in increasing students’ knowledge and awareness. However, external risk factors such as family and peer influence remain a challenge, thus requiring sustained collaboration between the school, families, and the community.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Durasi screen time yang berlebihan pada anak usia prasekolah menjadi permasalahan yang sering ditemukan di wilayah perkotaan. Di RW 001 RT 02 Kelurahan Kramat, Jakarta Pusat menunjukkan bahwa 75% anak usia 3-6 tahun memiliki durasi screentime lebih dari 1 jam/24 jam. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi menghambat perkembangan kognitif, sosial-emosional, dan perilaku anak, terutama ketika aktivitas non-digital tidak tersedia secara memadai di lingkungan rumah maupun komunitas. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menurunkan druasi screen time anak prasekolah melalui penyediaan aktivitas edukatif non-digital berbasis komunitas dengan memberdayakan remaja masjid sebagai peer mentor. Program dilaksanakan melalui lima tahapan: (1) koordinasi dan sosialisasi, (2) pelatihan peer mentor remaja, (3) pengembangan media edukatif non-digital, (4) pelaksanaan sesi bermain edukatif, (5) monitoring serta evaluasi. Sebanyak 12 remaja mengikuti pelatihan dan menghasilkan tiga jenis media edukatif non-digital (busy book, sensory play, dan story telling cards). Sebanyak 12 remaja masjid dilatih menjadi peer mentor kegiatan serta tiga sesi bermain melibatkan 8 anak usia prasekolah yang mengikuti 3 sesi kegiatan bermain, dimana 30% diantaranya mengalami penurunan screen time menjadi kurang dari 2 jam per hari. Kegiatan juga meningkatkan keterampilan remaja dalam pendampingan anak, memperkuat aktivitas bermain non-digital, dan menghasilkan forum remaja sebagai wadah keberlanjutan program. Model peer mentoring berbasis komunitas terbukti efektif dan inovatif dalam memfasilitasi aktivitas edukatif non-digital serta menurunkan durasi screen time anak usia prasekolah. Kata Kunci: Peer Mentoring, Screen Time, Anak Prasekolah, Edukasi Non-Digital.  ABSTRACT Excessive screen time among preschool children is a common problem in urban areas. In RW 001 RT 02, Kramat Subdistrict, Central Jakarta, 75% of children aged 3-6 years were reported to have screen time exceeding on hour per day. This condition may hinder children’s cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral development, particularly when adequate non-digital activities are not available at home or within the community. This community service program aimed to reduce screen time among preschool children by providing community based non-digital educational activities through the empowerment of mosque-based adolescents as peer mentors. The program was implemented through five stages: (1) coordination and socialization, (2) training of adolescent peer mentors, (3) development of non-digital educational media, (4) implementation of educational play sessions, and (5) monitoring and evaluation. A total of 12 adolescents participated in the training and developed three types of non-digital educational media, including busy books, sensory play materials, and storytelling cards. Twelve mosque-based adolescents were trained as peer mentors, and three educational play sessions involved eight preschool children. Following the intervention, 30% of the participating children experienced a reduction in screen time to less than two hours per day. The program also enhanced adolescents skills in child facilitation, strengthened non-digital play activities, and established a youth forum to support program sustainability. The community-based peer mentoring model represents an effective and innovative approach to facilitating non-digital educational activities and reducing screen time among preschool children. Keywords: Peer Mentoring, Screen Time, Preschool Children, Non-Digital Education.

Abstract

Chemistry laboratories are inherently high-risk environments where poor Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) can contribute to Sick Building Syndrome (SBS)—a condition marked by symptoms such as headaches, respiratory irritation, and reduced concentration, which negatively affect user productivity and well-being. Ensuring optimal air circulation is critical to maintaining thermal comfort, air quality, and compliance with occupational health and safety standards. This study adopts a mixed-method approach using a sequential exploratory design to investigate user comfort perceptions in chemistry laboratories. Data were collected through surveys of 50 respondents from five educational institutions to capture the Voice of Customer (VoC) regarding environmental comfort. Qualitative findings were enriched through benchmarking and further analyzed using the House of Quality (HoQ) method to identify air circulation deficiencies and prioritize improvements. The analysis revealed that educational laboratories underperform in temperature control, humidity regulation, and air freshness when compared to industrial and training laboratories. Key factors affecting comfort include air circulation pathways (score = 42) and air regulation mechanisms (score = 36), followed by circulation points (score = 21) and air conditioning systems (score = 11). The proposed solution involves integrating cassette-type air conditioners with a Louver Fresh Air (LFA) system to enhance thermal stability and ensure fresh air exchange. These improvements are vital for preventing SBS, enhancing user well-being, and supporting effective laboratory-based learning.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Luka kronis merupakan masalah kesehatan yang banyak dijumpai di komunitas, terutama pada pasien dengan penyakit kronis, dan berisiko menimbulkan komplikasi apabila tidak dirawat sesuai prinsip perawatan luka berbasis bukti. Keterbatasan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pasien serta keluarga dalam melakukan perawatan luka di rumah menjadi salah satu faktor utama terjadinya keterlambatan penyembuhan dan komplikasi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat model edukasi home-based wound care dalam perawatan luka kronis di komunitas sebagai upaya pencegahan komplikasi. Kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan community-based participatorymelalui edukasi dan pendampingan perawatan luka berbasis rumah. Sasaran kegiatan adalah pasien dengan luka kronis dan anggota keluarga sebagai caregiver. Intervensi meliputi edukasi terstruktur, demonstrasi dan praktik perawatan luka, serta pendampingan melalui kunjungan rumah secara berkala. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan observasi perkembangan luka dan pemantauan penerapan praktik perawatan luka selama periode pendampingan. Selama rangkaian kunjungan, terlihat progres penyembuhan luka yang konsisten, ditandai dengan peningkatan jaringan granulasi, penurunan eksudat, penyempitan luas luka, serta munculnya epitelisasi tanpa ditemukannya komplikasi. Selain itu, pasien dan keluarga menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan dan kemandirian dalam melakukan perawatan luka secara mandiri di rumah. Penguatan model edukasi home-based wound care efektif dalam mendukung penyembuhan luka kronis dan mencegah komplikasi di komunitas. Model ini berpotensi untuk direplikasi dan diintegrasikan dalam layanan keperawatan komunitas dan layanan kesehatan primer. Kata Kunci: Luka Kronis, Home-Based Wound Care, Edukasi Kesehatan, Keperawatan Komunitas, Pengabdian Masyarakat.  ABSTRACT Chronic wounds are a common health problem in community settings, particularly among patients with chronic diseases, and pose a high risk of complications if not managed according to evidence-based wound care principles. Limited knowledge and skills among patients and family caregivers in performing home wound care remain major contributors to delayed healing and complications. This community service activity aimed to strengthen a home-based wound care education model for the management of chronic wounds in the community as a strategy to prevent complications. A community-based participatory approach was applied through structured education and home-based wound care assistance. The target participants were patients with chronic wounds and their family members as primary caregivers. The intervention included wound care education, demonstrations and hands-on practice, as well as regular home visits for ongoing assistance. Evaluation was conducted through observation of wound healing progress and monitoring of wound care practices during the assistance period. Throughout the series of visits, consistent wound healing progress was observed, characterized by improved granulation tissue, reduced exudate, decreased wound size, and progressive epithelialization without signs of complications. In addition, patients and family caregivers demonstrated improved skills and greater independence in performing wound care at home. Strengthening the home-based wound care education model effectively supports chronic wound healing and prevents complications in community settings.
