Abstract

Stunting is still a nutritional problem in children in Indonesia and several other developing countries. This has become a public health problem that must be taken seriously and requires continuity as this can cause irreversible damage both physically and cognitively to the child. Based on this, the government is making efforts to reduce Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) by promoting the Healthy Living Community Movement (HLCV) as a promotive and preventive effort. This community service activity was carried out by the Health Polytechnic of the health ministry Banjarmasin in collaboration with the Banjar District Health Office. This activity aims to improve the environment and change behavior towards a healthier one. As many as 250 participants were involved in this activity from various walks of life. The method used is socialization in the form of talk shows and discussions. In the discussion activity, the community enthusiastically asked questions related to the material provided. This indicates a change in attitude and behavior after socialization. It requires the commitment of all parties involved in efforts to tackle stunting, including making Germas one of the work programs that are carried out routinely.

Abstract

Stunting or often called dwarf or short is a condition of growth failure in children under five years old (toddlers) due to chronic malnutrition and repeated infections, especially in the period of the First 1,000 Days of Life (HPK), namely from the fetus to the age of 2 years. The 1000 HPK period is also called the golden period as well as the critical period. This period is also closely related to the nutritional status of toddlers, the direct cause of nutritional problems is lack of nutritional intake and infectious diseases. Nutritional intake in the 1000 HPK cannot be separated from the Infant and Child Feeding Standards (PMBA). Reducing stunting rates by providing counseling on providing food for stunted children, by providing counseling on providing food for stunted children and providing food for children according to age. The methods implemented in this activity are training in counseling on providing food for stunted children and assistance in counseling on providing food for stunted children. The results of statistical tests with the Wilcoxon difference test showed that there was a significant difference (r=0,00) in the change in knowledge. Recommendations for training for motivational agents and training in other locations so that motivator groups can be formed in each fostered area.

Abstract

The brain health of pregnant women is an important aspect that affects maternal well-being and fetal development. Knowledge about health checks, including BSE (Breast Self-Examination), and the implementation of a healthy lifestyle during pregnancy play a major role in maintaining the brain health of pregnant women. This community service aims to optimize the brain health of pregnant women through BSE education and the implementation of a healthy lifestyle with the Interprofessional Collaboration (IPC) approach in the Assisted Village of the Tambarangan Health Center Area, Tapin Regency. The results showed that most pregnant women were aged 25-35 years (60.0%) and had little knowledge about BSE (60.0%). More worryingly, all pregnant women (100%) had never performed BSE. This low level of knowledge not only increases the risk of late detection of breast cancer, but can also trigger stress and anxiety that have a negative impact on the mental and brain health of pregnant women. Through the IPC approach, integrated education from various health professions (doctors, nurses, midwives, nutritionists, and psychologists) is carried out to improve the knowledge of pregnant women about BSE, stress management, and the implementation of a healthy lifestyle. This program helps pregnant women understand the importance of maintaining brain health by paying attention to nutritional intake, physical activity, and routine check-ups. This interprofessional collaboration plays an important role in integrating comprehensive promotive and preventive efforts, so that it can reduce the risk of physical and mental complications in pregnant women. These findings emphasize the importance of ongoing education and a holistic approach to improving the well-being of pregnant women in rural communities.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to develop innovative learning media to stimulate locomotor skills in children aged 5-6 years. The research employs the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Questionnaires are used as instruments for expert reviews, and one-on-one evaluation tools are used for children aged 5-6 years. The results of the product's validity test by content experts obtained a final score of 98.2%. The validity test results by media experts received a final score of 93.7%. The product testing on children aged 5-6 years resulted in a final score of 91.6%. The research findings indicate that the innovative learning media named "MONOPOLI GEMASI (Moving and Imaginative Monopoly)" meets the requirements. This innovative learning media successfully stimulates locomotor skills in children aged 5-6 years. It provides physical activity content for children, including walking, running, jumping, leaping, and crawling. This media can be practically used as a learning tool at home and in early childhood education institutions.
