Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Research on land cover change in the karst region is currently an important study as an indicator of evaluating global environmental changes. Karst area is a unique natural phenomenon on the surface of the earth because it has an important role in water conservation, CO2 absorption, and maintenance of biodiversity but is very vulnerable to damage due to human activities. The purpose of this study was to analyze changes in karst land cover in Gunem District, Rembang Regency, Central Java using satellite image data and GIS (Geographical Information System). The research method used is to compare three data on the distribution of land cover in 1997, 2008 and 2017 obtained from the interpretation of satellite image data. The results of the study are that land cover based on the results of the interpretation of satellite imagery is classified into four classes, namely fields / gardens, fields, built up land and water bodies. In the last 20 years the cover class of upland / garden land continues to experience a downward trend, while the built-up land cover class continues to increase. Changes in land cover in the karst area of Gunem Subdistrict during the period of 1997-2017 were influenced by factors of human activity which included population growth, housing needs, and supporting facilities. This result is expected to be a consideration in carrying out sustainable development planning and placing karst as a protected area.

Abstract

There is agricultural land around the Semarang Gedong Songo Temple area. The existence of land adjacent to tourist sites, how to manage land and the insistence of various interests may affect the condition of existing land and vegetation. The purpose of this study is to examine the composition of vegetation and vegetation structure, on agricultural land around the tourist area of Gedong Songo Temple. Sampling uses a quadratic plot with a line transect. Sampling was carried out on 3 strata, trees 10m x 10m, shrubs 5m x 5m, and herbs 1m x 1m. Data collection was carried out on sample plots, vegetation structures were assessed based on density, frequency and dominance values. Important value index (IVI ) is obtained from the sum of the values of relative density, relative frequency and relative dominance. The results showed 2 types of trees, 5 types of shrubs and 11 types of herbs, most of the herbs are weeds. Horticultural plants tend to be dominant (high IVI) due to human cultivation factors. The total IVI of horticultural crops is lower than that of weeds.

Abstract

Religion and the nation is a unity can not be separate. Keeping religion means keeping the nation. And vice versa, keeping the nation is sure to keep religion. It can not be said that religion is more important than a nation, or vice versa. Both must be taken care of and cared for properly and wisely, in order to bring peace and harmony into difference. Tolerance is the main attitude in living a diverse life with differences, in order to gain common good. Welfare, security and mutual affection are the main goals. Therefore, if the benefit that is important only by individuals or groups, then should prioritize the benefit of all parties that are general. Thus, the nations welfare that includes all the differences should take precedence over the religions welfare that is personal and not the principle.
