Abstract

Background: Teenagers experience various changes, both physically and physiologically. Prominent changes result in the attraction of the opposite sex thus begin to feel sexual desire. Society that favored one gender increases the possibility of adolescents to develop risky sexual behavior. Reproductive health education is an intervention that can be done to reduce the sexual risk behavior in adolescents. Objectives: This study aims to determine the effect of gender equality-based reproductive health education on sexual self-efficacy of male students. Method: This study was a quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest with a control group. Samples were taken by consecutive sampling technique. Respondents were 33 male adolescents who were given gender equality-based reproductive health education and 34 male adolescents with usual reproductive health education only that were conducted by the Puskesmas as a control group. Sexual self-efficacy was measured by the adolescent sexual self-efficacy questionnaire developed by researchers (r >0,1754; p= 0,745). Results: Differences in the self-efficacy score on pretest-posttest treatment group were -3,54 ± 12,88 and the control group was 3,09 ± 13,25. The treatment group has a value of p = 0,124 and the control group p = 0,183 so that the two did not experience a significant increase. There was a significant difference between the treatment group and the control group with a value of p= 0,034 but there was a decline in self-efficacy in the treatment group. The relationship test results show that the idol correlates with the increase in the male sexual self-efficacy score. Conclusion: Gender-based reproductive health education has no effect on increasing the male sexual self-efficacy score.ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Remaja mengalami berbagai perubahan, baik perubahan secara fisik maupun psikologis. Perubahan yang menonjol mengakibatkan munculnya ketertarikan terhadap lawan jenis yang memicu munculnya hasrat seksual. Budaya masyarakat yang mengunggulkan salah satu gender meningkatkan kerentanan remaja untuk melakukan perilaku seksual berisiko. Pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi merupakan salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengurangi perilaku berisiko seksual pada remaja. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi berbasis kesetaraan gender terhadap efikasi diri seksual remaja putra. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experimental with pretest-posttest dengan kelompok kontrol. Sampel diambil dengan teknik consecutive sampling. Responden adalah 33 remaja putra yang diberikan pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi berbasis kesetaraan gender dan 34 remaja putra dengan pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi yang biasa dilakukan Puskesmas sebagai kelompok kontrol. Efikasi diri seksual diukur dengan kuesioner efikasi diri seksual remaja yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti.  Hasil: Beda peningkatan skor efikasi diri pada pretest-posttest kelompok perlakuan sebesar -3,54±12,88 (p = 0,124) dan kelompok kontrol sebesar 3,09±13,25 (p = 0,183) sehingga keduanya tidak mengalami peningkatan signifikan. Terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antara kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol dengan nilai p = 0,042 namun terjadi penurunan rerata pada kelompok perlakuan. Hasil uji hubungan menunjukkan idola berkorelasi dengan peningkatan skor efikasi diri seksual remaja putra. Kesimpulan: Pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi berbasis kesetaraan gender tidak berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan skor efikasi diri seksual remaja putra.

Abstract

Background: The prevalence of smoking in adolescents continues to increase. One of the influential things in adolescent smoking behavior is peers. Also the school environment. Not much research has been done on differences in peer knowledge and effort among adolescents living in rural and urban areas. Objective: Knowing the comparison of knowledge and peer efforts in terms of preventing smoking behavior in high school adolescents in rural and urban areas of Bantul Regency. Method: This research is a comparative descriptive study by designcross-sectional. The research was conducted in four high schools in Bantul Regency. A sample of 274 students was divided into two groups, namely rural and urban. The smoking knowledge questionnaire and peer smoking prevention questionnaire were used. Data analysis using testMann Whitney. Result: The level of knowledge about smoking among high school students in the urban area of Bantul significantly higher than in rural Bantul (p<0,05). Peers' efforts to prevent smoking behavior were more frequent by rural Bantul students than urban Bantul students, but not significant (p>0,05). Conclusion: There are differences in the level of knowledge about smoking among high school students in rural and urban Bantul district, but not in the efforts of peers to prevent smoking.ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Prevalensi perokok pada  remaja terus meningkat.  Salah satu hal yang berpengaruh dalam perilaku merokok remaja adalah teman sebaya. Selain itu lingkungan sekolah. Belum banyak penelitian tentang perbedaan pengetahuan dan upaya teman sebaya pada remaja yang tinggal di daerah rural dan urban.  Tujuan: Mengetahui komparasi pengetahuan dan upaya teman sebaya dalam hal pencegahan perilaku merokok pada remaja SMA di daerah rural dan urban Kabupaten Bantul. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif komparatif dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Penelitian dilakukan di empat SMA di Kabupaten Bantul. Sampel berjumlah 274 siswa yang terbagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu rural dan urban. Kuesioner pengetahuan tentang rokok dan kuesioner upaya pencegahan merokok teman sebaya digunakan. Analisis data menggunakan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil: Tingkat pengetahuan tentang rokok pada siswa SMA di daerah urban Bantul signifikan lebih tinggi dari daerah rural Bantul (p<0,05). Upaya teman sebaya dalam pencegahan perilaku merokok lebih banyak dilakukan oleh siswa rural Bantul dibandingkan siswa urban Bantul, namun tidak signifikan (p>0,05). Kesimpulan: Ada perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan tentang rokok pada siswa SMA di rural dan urban Kabupaten Bantul, namun tidak dalam upaya teman sebaya dalam pencegahan merokok.

Abstract

The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been demonstrated to disrupt the body's immune response, adversely affecting the reproductive system. Consequently, this study has focused on the changes in the menstruation patterns of survivors of the disease in women of reproductive age with asymptomatic, mild, and severe cases. This study employed an observational cross-sectional approach. The sample comprised 207 women who had recovered from COVID-19 within the past six months and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sampling technique utilized consecutive sampling, and menstrual characteristics were assessed using a questionnaire. Several respondents in the severe group experienced changes in their menstrual patterns. Their duration of menstruation was shortened by 11.11%, and 13.58% had a more extended menstrual period. Some respondents’ cycles were elongated by 20.98%, some decreased their initial menstrual volume by 32.09%, and some increased by 27.16%. Meanwhile, their menstrual volume decreased by 17.28% at the end of menstruation, and their duration lengthened by 24.69%. 12.1% of respondents also reported changes in menstrual regularity. Additionally, 19.75% of respondents stated that their menstrual pain decreased, and 13.58% had increased menstrual pain. The multivariate analysis revealed that the severity of the COVID-19 infection was the primary factor influencing menstrual patterns.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPerubahan fisik, sosial, dan psikologis saat pubertas berisiko menyebabkan kecemasan pada remaja awal terutama apabila tidak diikuti dengan masukan pengetahuan yang cukup. Tujuan penelitian: studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi intervensi keperawatan mandiri yang sesuai untuk diterapkan pada remaja yang menghadapi pubertas. Keluhan utama pasien: Pendekatan studi kasus diterapkan untuk menangani masalah klien An. AR, 13 tahun, perempuan, dengan keluhan kecemasan ekstrem, kurang informasi, dismenorea, dan gatal pada saat menggunakan pembalut. Intervensi yang dilakukan berupa tiga kali psikoedukasi dan dua kali konseling yang dilaksanakan selama lima minggu dengan media edukasi yang beragam berupa handout materi, video edukasi, selebaran, poster, dan buklet. Kegiatan dilaksanakan secara daring dengan durasi 30–60 menit setiap sesi. Hasil: Pengukuran variabel pengetahuan dan kecemasan sebagai evaluasi diukur sebelum dan setelah intervensi dengan menggunakan instrumen pengetahuan (rata-rata pre = 48, rata-rata post = 88) dan instrumen kecemasan General Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) (pre = 19 [ekstrem], post = 11[sedang]). Skor dismenorea diukur dengan menggunakan skala VAS (pre = 7 [berat], post = 4[sedang]). Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil tindak lanjut intervensi keperawatan yang telah dilakukan pada klien, terdapat perkembangan yang baik sejalan dengan bukti ilmiah yang ada, yakni terjadi peningkatkan nilai skor pengetahuan, penurunan nilai skor kecemasan pada klien, penurunan skor dismenorea, dan penurunan keluhan gatal akibat penggunaan pembalut. Studi ini diharapkan dapat memberikan bukti empiris perihal intervensi keperawatan yang dapat digunakan untuk memfasilitasi remaja dalam mengurangi kecemasan akibat pubertas dan meningkatkan pengetahuan terkait dengan kesehatan reproduksi. Kata Kunci: kecemasan, konseling, pengetahuan, psikoedukasi, pubertas Application of Psychoeducation and Counseling Interventions in Dealing with Puberty in Early Adolescents: A Case Study ABSTRACT               Physical, social and psychological changes during puberty could cause anxiety in early adolescents, especially if they are not equipped with sufficient knowledge input. Objective: This case study is needed to explore independent nursing interventions that are suitable for application to adolescents. Patient’s main complaint: A case study approach was carried out toward client's problem. AR, female, 13 years old, with complaints of extreme anxiety, lack of information, dysmenorrhoea, and itching when using sanitary napkins. The intervention carried out was three times psychoeducation and two times counseling which was carried out for five weeks using various educational media in the form of power points, educational videos, leaflets, posters and booklets. Activities are carried out online with a duration of 30–60 minutes per session. Results: Measurement of knowledge and anxiety variables as an evaluation was measured before and after the intervention using the knowledge instrument (average pre = 48, average post = 88) and the General Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) anxiety instrument (pre = 19 [extreme], post = 11[medium]). Dysmenorrhoea score was measured using the VAS scale (pre = 7 [severe], post = 4 [moderate]). Conclusion: Based on the results of follow-up nursing interventions that have been carried out on client, it shows that there is good progress in line with existing scientific evidence, where there is an increase in knowledge scores, a decrease in anxiety scores in client, a decrease in dysmenorrhoea scores, and a decrease in complaints of itching due to the use of sanitary napkins. This study is expected to provide empirical evidence on nursing interventions that can be used to facilitate adolescents in reducing anxiety due to puberty and increasing knowledge related to reproductive health. Keywords: anxiety, counseling, knowledge, psychoeducation, puberty

Abstract

Introduction: Complications of pregnancy can cause morbidity and mortality. Pregnant women should know about these complications so that they can immediately get intervention. Some of these complications are referred to as danger signs of pregnancy. The aim of the paper to know the effect of health education videos on the level of knowledge and attitudes about danger signs in pregnancy.Methods: This quasi-experimental study used a nonequivalent pretest-posttest with control group design. This research was conducted at Jetis Public Health Center (PHC) (intervention group) and Pajangan PHC (control group). The number of respondents was 64 pregnant women. The control group received education with the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) handbook while the intervention group also received education using MCH handbook and education using videos about the danger signs of pregnancy. An educational video with a duration of 10 minutes 19 seconds contains about danger signs of pregnancy and actions that must be taken to overcome these problems. Educational videos were given to respondents via Android phones that can be watched repeatedly. data analysis has been carried out with the t test.Results: Based on the homogeneity test on the characteristic data between the intervention and control group were homogeneous. Comparison between the difference the knowledge of the pre-posttest in the intervention group compared to the difference the pre-posttest knowledge of the control group (8.59 vs. 0.31) with p value = 0.311, meaning that there is no effect of providing education with video on knowledge. Comparison between the difference in pre-posttest attitudes of the intervention group compared with the difference in pre-posttest attitudes of the control group (1.71 vs -1.21) p value = 0.001, meaning that there is an effect of providing education with video on attitudes.Conclusion: Health education videos can improve the attitude about the danger signs of pregnancy.

Abstract

Total Abdominal Histerektomi merupakan tindakan pengangkatan uterus dan serviks, hal tersebut secara tidak langsung mempengaruhi seksualitas wanita setelah TAH, Keluhan yang sering dirasakan pada wanita setelah TAH adalah keringnya vagina, berkurangnya hasrat seksual, anorgasmia dan berkurangnya kepuasan seksual. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran seksualitas pada wanita setelah menjalani tindakan TAH. Hal ini termasuk untuk mengetahui fungsi seksual dan kepuasan seksual setelah TAH. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Tahap 1 menggunakan kuantitatif deskriptif. Tahap kedua metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 14 responden dari pasien post TAH atas indikasi benign dari RSUP Dr Sardjito Yogyakarta dan wawancara mendalam dilakukan terhadap 5 responden yang merupakan sampel kualitatif. Terdapat gambaran peningkatan seksualitas pada wanita setelah TAH. Hal ini dikarenakan sebelum TAH merasakan gangguan aktivitas seksual. Mayoritas fungsi seksual wanita setelah TAH dikategorikan dalam fungsi seksual baik. Terdapat gambaran peningkatan kepuasan seksual pada wanita setelah  menjalani TAH. Hal tersebut berhubungan dengan hilangnya keluhan utama, hilangnya kecemasan terhadap penyakit dan sikap serta perhatian pasangan

Abstract

Purpose: This study determines the comparison of mothers' attitudes about breastfeeding in rural and urban areas of Sleman Regency. Methods: This quantitative research uses a comparative descriptive type and cross-sectional design. This research was conducted in January-March 2020 in 10 public health centers in Sleman Regency, selected by cluster random sampling. This research sample is breastfeeding mothers with children aged 1-7 months. Sampling was done using purposive, random, and consecutive sampling, obtaining 420 respondents. Data was collected using the Iowa Infant Feeding Attitude Scale (IIFAS) questionnaire, consisting of 17 statement items. Research analysis using Mann Whitney test, Spearman test, and Eta test. Results: The breastfeeding attitude score for mothers in rural areas was 60 (min-max 49-72), and in urban areas, the median value was 60 (min-max 45-77). There was no significant difference in the attitude of breastfeeding to mothers in rural areas and urban areas (p=0.769). External variables, maternal age (p=0.026) and education (p<0.001) had a significant relationship with breastfeeding attitudes (p<0.05). At the same time, parity status (p=0.261), work status (p=0.283), and experience received information on breastfeeding (F=0.345) showed no significant relationship with breastfeeding attitudes. Conclusion: The attitude of breastfeeding mothers in rural and urban areas is almost the same. There is no significant difference between the areas where they live, rural and urban areas, with breastfeeding attitudes.

Abstract

Background: Currently adolescents have limited knowledge about COVID-19. Unfortunately, it needs  good understanding and knowledge to break the chain of COVID-19 spreadth. Thus, it is necessary to educate them with video about COVID-19.Objective: To know the effect of video education on increasing knowledge and attitudes, and reducing anxiety among adolescents in the prevention of COVID-19.Method: This type of research was a quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent (pretest and posttest) control group design. SMPN A Depok was the intervention group, while SMPN B Depok was the control group. A continuous sampling technique was used to determine the samples in the schools. The video had undergone a content validity test conducted by 3 experts who declared it feasible and valid to provide information about COVID-19. Research instruments in the form of knowledge, attitude and anxiety questionnaires were also declared valid and reliable. Data were analysed using the Mann-Whitney U test.Results: The score difference of posttest and pretest for knowledges, attitude and anxiety between intervention and control groups were as follows: knowledge (p = 0,574), attitude (p = 0,178), anxiety (p=0,144). COVID-19 education using videos did not have a significant effect on increasing knowledge and attitude, and reducing anxiety in adolescents.Conclusion: Education using video media can not increase knowledge and reduce anxiety.INTISARILatar belakang: Tingkat pengetahuan remaja saat ini tentang COVID-19 masih terbatas. Upaya pemutusan rantai penyebaran COVID-19 memerlukan pemahaman dan pengetahuan yang baik, sehingga perlu edukasi, salah satunya melalui media video.Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh edukasi dengan video terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap, dan penurunan kecemasan remaja dalam pencegahan COVID-19.Metode: Jenis penelitian adalah quasi experiment with a nonequivalent (pretest and posttest) control group design. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di dua sekolah, yaitu SMPN A Depok sebagai kelompok intervensi dan SMPN B Depok sebagai kelompok kontrol. Penentuan sampel di sekolah dilaksanakan dengan teknik consecutive sampling. Video telah melalui uji validitas konten yang dilakukan oleh 3 orang ahli, dinyatakan layak dan valid untuk memberikan informasi tentang COVID-19. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner pengetahuan, sikap, dan kecemasan juga telah dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Analisis data dengan Mann-Whitney U test.Hasil: Uji beda selisih nilai posttest dan pretest pengetahuan, sikap, dan kecemasan antara kelompok intervensi dan kontrol sebagai berikut: pengetahuan (p = 0,574); sikap (p = 0,178); kecemasan (p=0,144). Edukasi COVID-19 menggunakan video tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap, dan penurunan kecemasan pada remaja.Simpulan: Edukasi menggunakan media video belum dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap, serta menurunkan kecemasan secara signifikan pada remaja. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan alternatif metode lain dalam memberikan edukasi pada remaja.

Background: : Maternal knowledge about physical and psychological changes during the postpartum period is still low. The results of the researcher's preliminary study also prove that many mothers still experience physical and psychological problems after childbirth, because they have not received effective education. The purpose of this study is Tto explore the educational needs of mothers related to physical changes and psychological changes in the postpartum period at RSUP dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro, Klaten .Methods: Qualitative study with descriptive phenomenological approach. Data was collected through in-depth interview. 10 participants in the polyclinic and postpartum ward were selected through purposive sampling and data analyzed using Colaizzi method. Results: This study identified 2 major themes, there is mother’s experience getting education about physical and psychological changes and postpartum mother’s education needs with normal childbirth about physical and psychological changes in postpartum period. The mother’s experience getting education about physical and psychological changes included materials, methods, media, technical, advantages, disadvantages, and educational resources. Postpartum mother’s education needs with normal childbirth about physical and psychological changes in postpartum period are educational materials, educational methods, educational media, technical education, and educational barriers. Conclusions: Postpartum mothers need educational materials about physical changes (postpartum effects, changes in the abdominal and breast area, breast milk, lochia, perineal wound care, vaginal examination) and psychological changes after childbirth. An effective method is face-to-face and the desired media is video. Education is provided during pregnancy with a duration  ≦ 30 minutes. Educational barriers are lacked of participants curiosity, feeling experienced, and fear if they get unpleasant information
