Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh worksheet berorientasi pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan posttest-only control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampelnya menggunakan cluster random sampling, sehingga diperoleh kelas A Prodi Pendidikan Kimia sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas A Pendidikan Fisika sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan tes kemampuan kognitif. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t dengan program SPSS 17.0. Hasil penelitian diperoleh keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada kelas eksperimen mencapai kategori baik, sedangkan kelas kontrol mencapai kategori sangat baik, artinya proses pembelajaran di kedua kelas berjalan sesuai dengan yang direncanakan. Hasil uji hipotesis kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa diperoleh nilai thitung = 7,79 dan ttabel = 2,10 pada taraf signifikan 5%, sehingga t hitung lebih besar dari ttabel, maka dapat dipastikan Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, artinya hipotesis awal diterima. Berdasarkan hasil di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh worksheet barorientasi pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa.

Abstract

Dalam membuat penskoran dan pembobotan butir soal suatu tes, maka yang harus diperhatikan adalah tingkatan dalam setiap domain (kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor). Bentuk perangkat tes yang baik adalah tes yang butir-butir soalnya disusun dengan memperhatikan komponen-komponen tingkatan dalam suatu domain dan tersusun lebih dari satu bentuk tes. Sebelum atau selama pembuatan soal tes, guru harus merencanakan bentuk-bentuk penskoran yang akan diberlakukan. Hal ini akan dapat membantu guru dalam melaksanakan prinsip objektif dan metodik dalam kegiatan penskoran sehingga tidak terkesan asal memberi skor. Hasil penskoran yang terencana akan memudahkan kegiatan berikutnya dalam penilaian, yaitu mengkonversi skor hasil belajar menjadi skor prestasi atau nilai standar. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diperuntukkan bagi guru-guru non kependidikan di SMK Negeri 8 Mataram untuk lebih mengutamakan kearifan dalam memberikan skor penilaian hasil belajar sesuai mata pelajaran yang mereka kuasai. Target dan luaran dalam pengabdian ialah akan menghasilkan guru SMK Negeri 8 Mataram yang memiliki kemampuan dalam membuat rubrik skor. Luaran yang diharapkan dalam pengabdian ialah mampu memberikan pengetahuan akan pentingnya pembuatan rubrik skor dalam penilaian hasil belajar siswa, serta laporan mengenai terlaksananya kegiatan ini bagi institusi dan publikasi pada jurnal pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Hasil dari kegiatan ini mendapat respon yang sangat baik dengan adanya perubahan pemahaman guru-guru non kependidikan dalam membuat rubrik skor.

Abstract

Department of Biology Education, Mandalika University of Education plays an important role in preparing students to become competent professionals in understanding and explaining life phenomena. Microscope literacy is an important aspect in deeply understanding the structure and function of organisms that are not visible to the naked eye. This community service program aims to increase microscope literacy for biology education students. Through training activities, students are provided with in-depth knowledge about the use of microscopes, sample preparation techniques, and interpretation of microscopic observation results. The targets of this activity are students of the Department of Biology Education, Faculty of Science, Engineering and Applied Sciences, Mandalika University of Education. The methods used are: preparation, training and practical demonstrations, interactive discussions, and monitoring and follow-up. The results of this activity show an increase in students' understanding regarding the use of microscopes, as well as an increase in their skills in operating microscopes to observe microscopic structures. Apart from that, participation in this program also provides a strong motivation for students to explore the field of biology in more depth. The conclusion of this program is that students' microscope literacy has increased, which is marked by increased understanding and skills of biology education students regarding microscopes.

Abstract

Packaging waste for products or goods that are no longer used can still be recycled into goods that are useful and economically valuable. In general, inorganic waste is very difficult to decompose naturally. The problem of increasing waste volumes needs to be handled wisely so that environmental pollution can be avoided, especially inorganic waste in the form of plastic bottles. The state of society in handling waste, especially plastic bottles, is still very low. One way that can be done is by providing education and direct assistance to the public regarding techniques for managing inorganic waste, especially used bottles or other plastic containers into more useful products. Utilizing used bottles as a medium for hydroponic plants is an effective way to raise public interest and awareness about the importance of managing plastic bottle waste. This activity is also a means of learning and motivating the community about hydroponic business opportunities using plastic bottles. Apart from that, this can be a very productive alternative activity for society.

Abstract

Lokakarya 1 Program Pendidikan Guru Penggerak (PGP) dilaksanakan pada tanggal 18 Juni 2023 di Aula Dinas Pendidikan Kota Mataram, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang program PGP, mengidentifikasi kompetensi Guru Penggerak, serta menyusun rencana pengembangan kompetensi diri bagi para Calon Guru Penggerak (CGP). Lokakarya ini melibatkan berbagai pihak yang terkait, termasuk Kepala Dinas Pendidikan, Pengajar Praktik, dan CGP dari berbagai jenjang pendidikan. Pelaksanaan lokakarya mencakup beberapa sesi interaktif yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan peserta, mulai dari perkenalan, permainan, diskusi kelompok, hingga sesi refleksi. Meskipun terdapat kendala teknis dalam penggunaan sound system, kegiatan ini tetap berhasil mencapai tujuan yang ditetapkan. Evaluasi yang dilakukan menunjukkan perlunya peningkatan fasilitas pendukung dan penyusunan materi yang lebih terstruktur untuk kegiatan selanjutnya. Kesimpulannya, Lokakarya 1 berhasil menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang produktif dan mendorong CGP untuk lebih siap menghadapi tantangan dalam implementasi pembelajaran yang berpusat pada murid. Saran yang diberikan termasuk peningkatan kualitas fasilitas, pengembangan metode pembelajaran interaktif, peningkatan dukungan pendampingan, serta evaluasi dan feedback berkala. Dengan perbaikan yang berkelanjutan, program PGP diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan dalam peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterampilan mahasiswa bercocok tanam, sehingga mereka dapat memenuhi kebutuhan gizi organik secara mandiri. Mahasiswa, sebagai agen perubahan pemimpin masa depan, memiliki peran strategis dalam mewujudkan kemandirian pangan melalui kegiatan kebun gizi. Melalui kegiatan ini mahasiswa tidak hanya memperoleh keterampilan praktis yang dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, tetapi juga mendapat manfaat jangka panjang berupa terbentuknya generasi yang peduli terhadap ketahanan pangan dan lingkungan. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh 10 mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi UNDIKMA semester 7. Kegiatan terdiri dari empat tahapan yakni: sosialisasi, persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Sosialisasi merupakan tahap awal perkenalan mengeani gambaran kegiatan. Tahap persiapan yaitu menyiapkan alat, bahan dan materi yang digunakan dalam pelatihan. Adapun Bahan-bahan yang digunakan berasal dari sumberdaya lingkungan sekitar. Pelaksanaan kegiatan kebun gizi organik menggunakan teknik permakultur, meliputi kegiatan pemberian nutrisi tanah, pembuatan bedengan, pembibitan dan pembuatan pupuk organik cair. Evaluasi di lakukan setelah praktek dilaksanakan dan selama kegiatan monitoring kebun gizi. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kehadiran dan partisipasi aktif mahasiswa tergolong tinggi ditandai dengan jumlah kehadiran 100%, serta antusias yang tinggi ditandai dengan semua peserta aktif bekerja dalam praktek kebun gizi. Selain itu hasil post test menunjukkan rentang nilai yang didapatkan adalah 90-98, hal ini menunjukkan mahasiswa telah berhasil memahami materi serta praktek yang dilakukan. Hasil monitoring menunjukkan benih yang disemai berhasil tumbuh, berkembang dan dirawat  dengan baik. Dengan demikian kegiatan telah mampu meningkatkan keterampilan, pengetahuan, dan kesadaran mahasiswa akan pentingnya ketahanan pangan mandiri.  Organic Nutrition Garden Training as an Effort to Introduce Food Resilience to Biology Education Students of UNDIKMA  Abstract This training aims to increase students' awareness and skills in gardening, so that they can meet their organic nutritional needs independently. Students, as agents of change for future leaders, have a strategic role in realizing food resilience through nutritional garden activities. Through this activity, students not only gain practical skills that can be applied in everyday life, but also get long-term benefits in the form of a generation that cares about food security and the environment. This training was attended by 10 of the 7th semester Biology Education students of UNDIKMA. The activity consists of four stages, i.e. socialization, preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Socialization is the initial stage of introduction regarding the description of the activity. The preparation stage is to prepare the tools, materials and materials used in the training. The materials used come from the surrounding environmental resources. The implementation of organic nutritional garden activities uses permaculture techniques, including the activities of providing soil nutrients, making beds, nurseries and making liquid organic fertilizers. Evaluation is carried out after the practice is carried out and during the nutritional garden monitoring activities. The results of the activity evaluation showed that the presence and active participation of students were relatively high, marked by 100% attendance, and high enthusiasm marked by all participants actively working in the nutritional garden practice. In addition, the post-test results showed a range of scores obtained of 90-98, this indicates that students have succeeded in understanding the material and the practices carried out. The monitoring results showed that the seeds that were sown successfully grew, developed and were well cared for. Thus, the activity has been able to improve students' skills, knowledge, and awareness of the importance of food resilience security.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Sistematika Cryptogamae module based on research findings on the diversity of seaweed species in the waters of Dusun Labuhan Terata, Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. The research was conducted using a development method that refers to the ADDIE Model by Reiser and Mollenda, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This study is limited to the Development stage. The research instruments are validation sheets and readability questionnaires. Data analysis is conducted using a descriptive quantitative approach. The validity test results of the Sistematika Cryptogamae module reached 86.6%, categorized as highly feasible. In addition, the readability test results reached 84.4%, categorized as easy to understand. This module was developed using a research-based approach and local environmental context to meet the needs of contextual education. It is expected to enhance students' understanding of the diversity of lower-level plants, particularly seaweed, and to foster awareness of marine ecosystem conservation. This research also contributes to the documentation of biodiversity and the sustainable management of seaweed resources. The conclusion of this study is that the Cryptogamae Systematics module developed is deemed highly suitable for implementation in learning.

Abstract

Higher education currently faces significant challenges in integrating information and communication technology (ICT) into the learning process and equipping students with Critical Thinking Skills. However, in the post-pandemic era, many universities rarely incorporate ICT into their teaching, and students' critical thinking abilities still need improvement. Hybrid Learning, which combines Level of Inquiry (LoI) and Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment (Moodle), can be an effective solution to address these issues. The combination of LoI and Moodle creates a learning environment that allows students to engage in independent and collaborative learning while developing skills through investigative activities. The aim of this research is to develop Hybrid Learning that integrates LoI and Moodle to enhance students' Critical Thinking Skills. This research employs an instructional development model by Fenrich, which includes: Analysis, Planning, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation and Revision. The implementation stage utilizes a pre-experimental research design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design conducted at the Faculty of Science and Applied Technology at Undikma. The research instruments consist of validation sheets and critical thinking skill tests. Data analysis is conducted using quantitative descriptive methods and n-Gain tests. The results indicate that the developed Hybrid Learning model combining LoI and Moodle is valid and reliable for use in the learning process. The validation scores for the Syllabus (3.9), Lesson Plans (3.9), Student Worksheets (3.8), and Critical Thinking Skills tests (3.9). Additionally, the Hybrid Learning combining LoI and Moodle are effective in significantly improving students' Critical Thinking Skills.

Abstract

Academic resilience helps students overcome learning challenges and stay motivated in understanding complex biology materials. Computational thinking skills enable students to break down complex biology problems logically and structured, while the use of multirepresentations such as diagrams and graphs facilitates the understanding of abstract concepts. Biological literacy has a very important urgency for students because it plays a role in equipping them with the ability to understand, analyze, and apply biological concepts in everyday life. In the era of globalization and rapid development of science, biological literacy is an important basis for making intelligent decisions, especially related to environmental, health, and sustainability issues. The objective of this study is to investigate the influence of academic resilience on the biological literacy of students by means of computational thinking and multirepresentations. It is hypothesized that students' capacity to surmount intricate biology learning obstacles is enhanced by their high academic resilience. This study examines the correlation between academic resilience, computational thinking, multirepresentations, and biological literacy in high school pupils in Mataram City, Indonesia, utilizing quantitative methods and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis. The findings indicated that academic resilience has a substantial impact on the biological literacy of students (p < 0.05), both directly and through the mediation of computational thinking abilities and the use of multirepresentations. Computational thinking assists students in the deconstruction of intricate biological problems, while multirepresentations, such as diagrams and graphs, facilitate comprehension of abstract biological concepts. This study underscores the significance of fostering academic resilience, computational thinking, and visual representations in order to enhance students' biological literacy, thereby facilitating the development of more effective and adaptive biology learning strategies.      Keywords: academic resilience, biology literacy, computational thinking, multirepresentation, students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the professional competence of prospective teacher students. This research is a descriptive study with the subject of 30 students who take PPL/PLP activities in eight high school and MA schools in Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Data collection was carried out through real teaching using an assessment score of 1 - 4 with details, 1 = not good, 2 = quite good, 3 = good, and 4 = very good. Students' professional competency scores were then averaged, then grouped into 4 categories, namely 3 < Score 4 (Very Good), 2 < Score 3 (Good), 1 < Score 2 (Good Enough), Score = 1 (Poor Well). The results showed that the students' professional competence was in the very good category, with a mean score of 3.25. These results indicate the need to improve the quality of learning and training for student teacher candidates, so that their professional competence can be maintained and improved.
