Abstract

Elderly individuals are susceptible to systemic and metabolic health problems, making it more difficult to perform daily activities. This research aims to determine how to create communication aid for the elderly based on internet of things. The method used in this study is planning, designing and testing communication aids. The planning stage starts with making the tool design, designing the circuit module and determining the electronic components. The design starts with making the frame, assembling the microcontroller circuit, assembling the frame with the microcontroller circuit and designing the software by creating a programming language on the Arduino Uno IDE. The results of the study show that the creation of communication aids for the elderly is done by designing an electronic circuit by integrating sensors with the ESP8266 Wifi module. The system design is carried out through the stages of identifying the needs of elderly users through interview studies, planning hardware and software designs, hardware and software designs, and integration stages with the Telegram application. The test results show that the tool can convey messages or notifications automatically real-timeAs long as it's connected to the internet no more than 70 meters, the device can respond quickly when the sender presses a button, and the recipient can receive a notification. The recipient can respond by replying via Telegram, while the sender can view the notification on the LCD screen. The communication tool still depends on the internet network and power supply.

Abstract

Abstract - The clean water supply system on trains is an important component in supporting the comfort and cleanliness of lavatory facilities on passenger trains. This study aims to design and implement a real-time water level monitoring system using the ESP32 microcontroller and the Blynk platform. This research involves field studies, literature reviews, equipment planning, and testing procedures.The system uses three analog water level sensors installed on three different water tanks in three train units. Each tank is equipped with three LED indicators (LOW, MEDIUM, FULL) as direct visual feedback in the field. The water level data is read by the ESP32 and sent in real-time to the Blynk application dashboard every three seconds. In addition, the system is equipped with an automatic notification feature when a change in water level occurs, allowing users to remotely monitor the tank condition.The test results show that the sensor's ADC reading when the tank is empty is 0, and when full reaches a maximum value of 2128 (water tank 1), 2069 (water tank 2), and 2148 (water tank 3). These values are then mapped into percentages to make the data easier to interpret visually in the application. The system has been proven to provide accurate, responsive, and stable information. With this system, the monitoring process of lavatory water tanks becomes more effective, efficient, and no longer requires manual inspection by personnel Keywords - Monitoring, Lavatory, ESP32, Blynk , Microcontroller. Abstrak - Sistem penyediaan air bersih di kereta api merupakan bagian penting untuk mendukung kenyamanan dan kebersihan fasilitas lavatory pada kereta penumpang. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem monitoring ketinggian air (water level) secara real-time menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32 dan platform Blynk. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi lapangan, studi literatur, perencanaan alat, dan prosedur pengujian alat. Sistem menggunakan tiga sensor level air analog yang dipasang pada tiga tangki air berbeda di tiga unit kereta. Setiap tangki dilengkapi dengan tiga indikator LED (LOW, MEDIUM, FULL) sebagai umpan balik visual secara langsung di lapangan. Data level air dibaca oleh ESP32 dan dikirim secara real-time ke dashboard aplikasi Blynk setiap tiga detik. Selain itu, sistem juga dilengkapi dengan fitur notifikasi otomatis ketika terjadi perubahan level air, sehingga pengguna dapat memantau kondisi tangki secara jarak jauh. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa nilai pembacaan ADC sensor ketika tangki kosong berada pada angka 0, dan saat penuh mencapai nilai maksimum sebesar 2128 (water tank 1), 2069 (water tank 2), dan 2148 (water tank 3). Nilai-nilai tersebut dipetakan ke dalam bentuk persentase untuk memudahkan interpretasi visual pada aplikasi. Sistem terbukti mampu memberikan informasi secara akurat, responsif, dan stabil. Dengan adanya sistem ini, proses pengawasan air lavatory kereta menjadi lebih efektif, efisien, dan tidak lagi memerlukan pemeriksaan manual oleh petugas. Abstract

Manual operation of engine oil pumps is often prone to inaccuracy and requires continuous human supervision. Furthermore, the reliance on electricity from conventional sources increases operational costs and may result in suboptimal energy efficiency. This study presents the design and development of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based electric engine oil pump system capable of automatically controlling and monitoring oil volume in real time. The proposed system utilizes an ESP8266 NodeMCU Lolin V3 as the primary microcontroller, integrated with a flowmeter, 4×4 keypad, relay, and electric pump. For remote operation, the system employs the Blynk application over a Wi-Fi network. The research methodology encompasses hardware and software development, followed by performance evaluation based on predefined input codes (*123#, *456#, and *789#) and remote control via the Blynk platform. Experimental results demonstrate that the system can dispense oil with high precision, achieving an average measurement deviation of only ±5 mL. Moreover, the system supports remote operation and enables automated data logging to an online spreadsheet, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and data accessibility
