Abstract

The impact of quality education on poverty reduction is a critical area of study, particularly when examined across different economic contexts. This research investigates how quality education influences poverty reduction in low-income and high-income countries, focusing on the moderating effect of financial context. A comparative cross-sectional research design was employed, utilizing secondary data from thirty countries—fifteen low-income and fifteen high-income—sourced from reputable databases such as the World Bank, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression were conducted to analyze the relationship between educational quality and poverty reduction. The findings reveal a significant positive correlation between literacy rates and poverty reduction, mainly in high-income countries (r = 0.76, p < 0.01). Regression analysis further supports that the impact of education on poverty is more substantial in high-income contexts, with a notable interaction effect between education and economic context (β = 0.36, p < 0.01). These results suggest that while education is vital for poverty alleviation, its effectiveness varies depending on the economic environment. The study concludes that tailored educational policies are necessary to enhance the poverty-reducing potential of education in low-income countries, highlighting the need for global educational reforms to address these disparities.

Abstract

Digital globalisation has changed the paradigm, lifestyle, and value system that has resulted in the decline of the nation's morals and character, including in education. This research aims to 1) analyze the model of teacher exemplary in fostering student morals; 2) explain the strategy of moral development based on teacher exemplary; and 3) evaluate the transformation of student morals through teacher exemplary. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with primary and secondary data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that exemplary personality, behavior, and speech teachers significantly foster student morals, although it is not fully realized in the classroom. Strategies based on responsibility, courtesy, and discipline require consistency and time for significant moral transformation. Programmed and explicit coaching, accompanied by teacher commitment to providing real examples, encourages students to adopt positive behaviors in their daily lives.

Abstract

The study of the typology of ulul albab as an ideal human character in Islam is an important aspect in understanding the concept of spirituality and wisdom in religion. In the Qur'an, ulul albab is described as an individual who reaches a level of perfection in his thinking activities, reflected in the depth of his spirituality and wisdom in living life. By considering a psychological perspective on human thinking activities, this study aims to explore the meaning and implications of the ulul albab typology in the context of human life. Through a descriptive qualitative approach and library research, data was collected from various relevant reading sources. The data analysis process uses a flowing data analysis method, including reading, recording, processing and concluding. The findings show that thinking involves the entire human personality, explained in the Qur'an. The integration of the Ulul Albab typology in Islam highlights the importance of thinking activities as a basis for devotion and wisdom. In the modern era, Al-Qur'an-based education emphasizing the development of the Ulul Albab character through thinking activities can be a relevant solution in forming an intelligent and devout generation. This study contributes to enriching understanding of thinking activities within a psychological framework and Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Ethnic harmony is a significant challenge in the context of religious and cultural diversity, especially in regions with abundant ethnic and cultural wealth such as Aceh. Private Islamic religious universities in Aceh have a crucial role in facilitating inter-ethnic dialogue and promoting religious moderation as a foundation for ethnic harmony. Based on this, this study is interesting for further study in promoting religious moderation and building inter-ethnic harmony. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis model with a phenomenological approach as a framework and analytical method. Data sources consist of secondary and primary data obtained through in-depth interviews with lecturers and students from research subjects. The findings show that private Islamic religious universities in Aceh have a role in facilitating inter-ethnic dialogue and promoting religious moderation as a foundation for ethnic harmony. Through educational programs and extracurricular activities, as well as the establishment of the Religious Moderation House (RMB), the college provides space for open discussions about religious and cultural differences, encourages inclusive attitudes, and broadens cross-cultural horizons among students.

Abstract

Academic writing activities play an important role for students at the tertiary level. Because students are required to be mastered to write academically. The aim of this research was to know-how is the teaching of writing for academic purposes, to know how students perceive the teaching of writing for academic purposes, and to know how a teacher perceives the teaching of writing for academic purposes. Case study was used as the research design in the paradigm of the qualitative and 20 students (in the 5th semester) and 1 teacher from Bogor Ibn Khaldun University were invited as a research participant. Observation, interview, photovoice, voice recorder, and documents were used as a research instrument to get the data. The result of this study showed the teacher taught the materials before each student was required to write an essay. The teacher provided feedback and comment on their essay in the process of writing an essay. Students did the revising process to make their essays better. The students also had a positive perception of the teaching of writing for academic purposes. There were three aspects that students perceive on the teaching writing for academic purposes those were the teaching practice, teachers' feedback, and students' problems or challenges. Besides, the teacher perceives there were some problems encountered in the teaching of writing for academic purposes. The problems encountered were students' level proficiency, students' motivation, technical problems in the classroom, the production of the students' essay, and the support from the leader.

Abstract

Transformasi digital membuka peluang besar bagi pelaku usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) untuk mengembangkan bisnis melalui strategi pemasaran berbasis digital. Namun, masih banyak pelaku bisnis lokal yang belum memahami atau memanfaatkan digital marketing secara optimal. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan judul Meroketkan Bisnis Lokal dengan Kekuatan Digital Marketing di SMK N 2 Lhokseumawe bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan digital marketing pelaku UMKM setempat. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi observasi lapangan, pelatihan digital marketing, pendampingan praktik pemasaran digital, serta evaluasi hasil kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan kemampuan pelaku UMKM dalam menerapkan digital marketing, yang berdampak pada peningkatan visibilitas usaha dan penjualan. Kegiatan ini menegaskan bahwa digital marketing dapat menjadi sarana efektif untuk memajukan bisnis lokal jika diimplementasikan secara konsisten dan tepat sasaran.

Abstract

The Nasari Savings is needed to find out the perceptions of a member about the services and performance of the management that has been carried out. To assess and examine the satisfaction of members, several dimensions can be used as measurement tools. The study was aimed to determine the level of satisfaction of members of the Cooperative. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a total sample of 96 people. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling technique and data is collected through a questionnaire. The indicators of service; office strategic elements, cleanliness and comfort of office space, the availability of complete office facilities such as computers, printers and office telephones, transaction execution systems, accuracy in services, information clarity given by employees, the readiness of employees to receive complaints from members, the willingness and ability of employees to provide the information needed, the readiness of employees in providing services, knowledge, skills and skills of employees in their fields, beliefs about security, cooperative legal certainty, attention given by employees against member complaints, employees provide services to all members regardless of social status, employees always maintain good communication with members are included to Very Good performances.

Abstract

This research was conducted from the existence of problems that have been observed by the author at SMAN 1 Padang Sago where the problems were found. whenthe learning process takes place the media presented is still in the form of microsoft word which is displayed through an LCD projector, and has not used interesting media to be presented to students. This is to produce a multimedia design that supports ICT Guidance learning using Autoplay Media Studio that is valid, practical and effective.The method used in this research is the Luther-Sutopo version of the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), which consists of six stages, namely concept (conception), design (design), collecting material (material collection), assembly (making), testing (testing) and distribution (distribution). And there are three product tests carried out in this study, namely the validity test given to lecturers who are field experts or field experts, practicality tests carried out by teachers of the subject of ICT guidance and effectiveness tests given to two teachers in the field of study and ten students at SMAN. 1 Padang Sago class XII.Based on the product test results that have been carried out by the author of the validity test, the average value is 0.93 which is declared valid, and for the practicality test, the average value is 0.97 which is declared practical and for the effectiveness test, the average value is obtained.the average is 0.83 which is declared effective.

Abstract

Kewirausahaan santri di dayah salafiyah merupakan bagian dari pendidikan yang bertujuan membangun kemandirian ekonomi santri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi yang diterapkan oleh pimpinan dayah dalam menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan santri. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, melibatkan tiga dayah salafiyah di Aceh yang aktif dalam program kewirausahaan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran pimpinan dayah sangat signifikan dalam membangun minat wirausaha santri, baik sebagai pendidik, motivator, maupun fasilitator. Santri yang terlibat dalam program pelatihan dan praktik kewirausahaan menunjukkan tingkat minat wirausaha yang lebih tinggi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi antara pendidikan keagamaan dan pelatihan kewirausahaan dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam mencetak santri yang mandiri secara ekonomi dan sosial.
