Abstract

The growing volume of customer documents in financing companies presents challenges in archive retrieval when the search method is not well suited to increasing data volumes. This study aims to compare Linear Search and Binary Search methods within a web-based customer document archiving information system at PT Multindo Auto Finance. An experimental comparative analysis was conducted by empirically evaluating both algorithms under identical conditions and using the same dataset. The dataset consisted of 4,996 customer documents and was evaluated under two testing scenarios: searching for data that exists in the system and searching for data that does not exist. The primary performance metric was execution time, measured in milliseconds (ms). The results show that Binary Search outperformed Linear Search in both scenarios, achieving an execution time of 0.01 ms, while Linear Search required 0.09 ms when the target data was found and 0.23 ms when the target data was not found. However, Binary Search requires the data to be sorted, which may limit its suitability for systems containing frequently updated or dynamically changing data. The study concludes that Binary Search is recommended for large-volume systems with relatively static datasets, whereas Linear Search is more suitable for systems with dynamic datasets that are continuously updated.

Abstract

Coconut fruit holds high economic value as it can be utilized for various products and significantly contributes to the local economy. This research aims to develop a Geographic Information System (GIS) to map land area and coconut production in Kendal Regency in 2023 as a foundation for more efficient resource management. By integrating spatial and non-spatial data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), this GIS visualizes the spatial distribution of coconut plantations and identifies production variations among sub-districts. The analysis reveals that Patebon Sub-district has the highest coconut production, while Cepiring Sub-district, despite having the largest land area, records relatively low production. Mapping was conducted using Quantum GIS (QGIS) software, allowing for accurate and efficient data digitization. This GIS output holds significant potential to support spatial planning, data-driven policy formulation, and the improvement of coconut farmers' welfare in Kendal Regency. The implementation of the map on a web-based platform facilitates public access to the presented spatial information.

Abstract

Anemia is a lack of blood condition with reduction in hemoglobin as one of indicator.  According to data from the Basic Health Research in 2013, the prevalence of anemia sufferers in Indonesia was high at 37.1%. The figure was almost close to severe public health problems with an anemia prevalence limit of more than 40%. However, this was not accompanied by low public knowledge about anemia.Therefore, researcher created an anemia mobile learning application based on android to increase people knowledge about anemia in everytime.There were quizzes randomly issued using the Linear Congruent Method algorithm. Linear Congruent Method algorithm, which was an algorithm that produced random permutations from a finite set. Testing Linear Congruent Method (LCM) algorithm was able to produce an effective randomization problem, where there was no repetition of the same value if the value of the declared variable meets the determination parameters of the existing LCM Algorithm i.e. the increment value and modulus must be relatively prime.
