Abstract

This research aimed to examine the factors influencing employee performance at Payakumbuh City Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM). Using binary logistic regression, the dependent variable (Y) represented employee performance, while the independent variables included work initiative, discipline, qualifications, competence, and leadership. The analysis revealed that competence and leadership significantly impacted employee performance. These findings highlighted the critical role of competency development and leadership strengthening in enhancing employee performance. The binary logistic regression results indicated that 16 employees exhibited low performance, while 15 employees demonstrated high performance. Recommendations were made, including the need for the development of employee competencies, enhancement of leadership capabilities, monitoring of discipline and work initiatives, and periodic evaluation of qualifications. The implementation of these recommendations is expected to contribute to improved employee performance and service quality at BKPSDM Payakumbuh City.

Abstract

Research on using maggots as a feed ingredient for laying hens is one solution to the problem of increasing feed prices and BSF maggots also have the potential to overcome environmental problems caused by the accumulation of organic waste. The research was carried out in 3 stages, namely: Stage 1. Macronutrient chemical testing of all ingredients to be used in the feed formula for laying hens. Stage 2. Preparation of 3 feed formulas using bran, corn, concentrate, and maggot according to the needs of layer phase laying hens. Stage 3. Biological testing of 3 feed formulas for 120 chickens divided into 3 treatments and 4 replications consisting of 10 chickens, according to a Completely Randomized Design. The parameters observed were feed consumption, egg weight, egg production, FCR, and egg quality both external and internal. The collected data will be tabulated and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Duncan’s Multiple Range Advanced Test will be carried out. This research shows that giving up to 30% maggot was not able to produce better feed consumption, egg weight, egg production, and feed conversion compared to the control. However, based on an analysis of the internal quality of the eggs, the treatment with 30% maggot was able to produce eggs with a high yolk score (9.70±0.66) and was significant compared to the control (8.30±0.75). The conclusion from this research is that maggots have the potential to be used as feed for laying hens up to a level of 30%.

Abstract

Polygamy (addud al-zaujat) has been a significant issue in husband-wife relationships throughout the history of Islamic civilization. One contributing factor to the practice of polygamy is the lack of understanding regarding its underlying reasons or motives. This study aims to analyze the sanctions imposed on Civil Servants engaging in polygamy based on the Quranic perspective in Surah An-Nisa Verse 3 and according to Indonesian Law No. 1 of 1974. The research employs a library research methodology, utilizing primary sources such as the Al-Misbah commentary and secondary sources including the Quran, Hadith, Law No. 1 of 1974, and the Compilation of Islamic Law. The findings reveal two key points. First, for civil servants practicing polygamy, the condition of fairness is emphasized. Material fairness includes equal treatment in terms of rotation, living expenses, food, clothing, and housing. However, emotional fairness, involving love and feelings of the heart, is not mandated. Second, civil servants engaging in polygamy without proper authorization face four possible sanctions: i) demotion, ii) removal from office, iii) honorable dismissal without personal request, and iv) dishonorable dismissal. Female civil servants who become a second, third, or fourth wife are subject to dishonorable dismissal from their civil service roles.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi yang digunakan oleh para nelayan di Kabupaten Merauke dalam menghadapi dampak kenaikan BBM dan menilai efektivitas strategi tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan nelayan, pemangku kepentingan terkait, serta observasi langsung di lapangan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan induktif, di mana data-data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara tematis untuk mengidentifikasi strategi-strategi yang telah diterapkan oleh para nelayan dalam menghadapi kenaikan harga BBM. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa manajemen strategi dalam menghadapi dampak kenaikan BBM berada pada total skor faktor internal (IFAS) 2,85 dan total skor faktor eksternal (EFAS) 2,78, sehingga kondisi manajemen strategi dalam menghadapi dampak kenaikan BBM saat ini termasuk kategori “cukup baik” dan masih bisa diupayakan untuk lebih baik lagi mengingat keadaan atau jumlah nelayan di Kabupaten Merauke yang cukup potensial untuk diberdayakan. Nelayan di Kabupaten Merauke telah mengadopsi berbagai strategi dalam menghadapi dampak kenaikan BBM. Beberapa strategi yang diidentifikasi termasuk efisiensi penggunaan bahan bakar, diversifikasi sumber pendapatan, kolaborasi dengan nelayan lain untuk berbagi biaya operasional, dan penggunaan teknologi dan alat tangkap yang lebih efisien. Selain itu, faktor-faktor eksternal seperti kebijakan pemerintah dan akses terhadap pasar juga berperan penting dalam keberhasilan strategi yang diterapkan.

Abstract

The giant honeybee (Apis dorsata) is vital for ecosystems as a pollinator, significantly impacting agricultural productivity, biodiversity, and food sustainability. This study explores the morphometric characteristics of Apis dorsata populations in Batu Rakit Village, North Lombok Regency, a tropical region with rich biodiversity. Morphometric data were collected from 20 worker bees, focusing on body length, abdomen dimensions, wing dimensions, proboscis length, and body weight. Measurements were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression to identify significant relationships between morphometric traits and body weight. Results show that abdomen length (r = 0.50, β = 0.05, p = 0.01) and forewing length (r = 0.48, β = 0.08, p = 0.03) are the strongest predictors of body weight, underscoring their roles in resource storage and flight efficiency. Most traits exhibited low variability, reflecting evolutionary adaptations to environmental stability, while body weight displayed high variability (CV = 7.53%), indicating responses to environmental and individual factors. These findings highlight the ecological importance of uniform traits such as abdomen length and wing dimensions in supporting the foraging efficiency and resource transport of Apis dorsata. This study provides critical insights for the conservation and management of Apis dorsata populations in tropical ecosystems.

Abstract

The unstable price of animal feed is then carried out to find alternative feed. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of giving maggots raised in different media on the production performance of Joper chickens. Maggots were raised with three different feed media. P1 25% blood, 50% bran, 25% market waste; P2 is the same as P1 24% market waste and 1% rice bran fried foods, and P3 is the same as P1 23% market waste and 2% fried food waste. Experiment Feeding 200 two week-old Joper chickens was done randomly in four treatments. P0 was given self-mixing feed, while P1, P2, and P3 were given additional feed 20% maggot flour in self-mixing feed maggot research results First. The results of the maggot research show that the best media for treatment P2 was BK 95.18%, ash 10.69%, KA 5.1%, LK 17.54%, SK 16.32% and PK 54.35%. The use of 20% maggots in Joper chicken feed has no significant effect on the production performance and percentage of Joper chicken carcasses, but there are tendency on the weight of P2 chicken carcass containing 1% fried waste. It is recommended to use 20% in the second research ration.

Abstract

The carbon storage in mangrove forest plays a crucial role in climate change mitigation. Sungai kupah village is an ecotourism village engaged in mangrove forest tourism restoration. Therefore, the government"™s program to preserve mangrove forst aligns with the conservation efforts undertaken by tourism enthusiasts. Hence, a study is needed on carbon stock reserves at several locations in the Sungai kupah mangrove forest. This research utilized non-destructive sampling method and applied available allometric equations. Data collection involved measuring the diameter of breast height of trees within 10 x 10 meter sample plots with a 5 meter plot interval. The research results indicated an average carbon stock production in above ground biomass of 167.05 tons/ha along the entire path. The highest carbon content was found in path three at 96.46 tons/ha, followed by path two at 72.29 tons/ha, and the smallest in path one at 12.94 tons/ha. Based on the growth rate, the highest stored carbon value for trees is found on line 3, with a value of 83.21 tons/ha, while for seedlings on line 3, it is 13.25 tons/ha. The dominant vegetation species in each zone are Sonneratia caseolaris in line I, and Avicennia lanata in both line II and line III. Therefore, the vegetation density in each zone is related to the biomass value obtained and the carbon stock. Keywords: allometric, biomass, carbon, mangroves, mitigation. Abstrak Penyimpan karbon pada hutan mangrove mempengaruhi kinerja mitigasi perubahan iklim. Desa Sungai Kupah merupakan Desa Ekowisata yang bergerak dalam restorasi wisata hutan mangrove. Sehingga program pemerintah dalam melestarikan hutan mangrove bergerak selaras dengan pelestarian yang dilakukan oleh penggiat wisata. Oleh sebab itu perlunya studi penelitian cadangan stok karbon pada sejumlah lokasi di hutan mangrove Sungai Kupah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode non destruktif sampling dan menerapkan persamaan allometrik yang telah tersedia. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengukur diameter pohon setengah dada di dalam plot pengambilan sampel berukuran 10 x 10 meter dan jangkauan antara plot sebesar 5 meter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata produksi stok karbon pada biomassa atas permukaan keseluruhan jalur diperoleh sebesar 167,05 ton/ha. Kandungan karbon tertinggi terdapat pada jalur 3 sebesar 96,46 ton/ha, kemudian jalur 2 sebesar 72,29 ton/ha dan yang terkecil berada pada jalur 1 sebesar 12,94 ton/ha. Berdasarkan tingkat pertumbuhan, untuk pohon nilai karbon tersimpan tertinggi berada pada jalur 3 dengan masing-masing nilai sebesar 83,21 ton/ha dan untuk pancang pada jalur 3 sebesar 13,25 ton/ha. Jenis vegetasi yang mendominasi setiap zonasi yaitu pada jalur I didominasi oleh jenis Sonneratia caseolaris dan jalur II dan Jalur III didominasi oleh jenis Avicennia lanata. Sehingga besar nilai kerapatan pada tiap vegetasi memiliki hubungan dengan nilai biomassa yang diperoleh maupun stok karbon. Kata kunci: allometrik, biomassa, karbon, mangrove, mitigasi

Abstract

This research aims to reveal information about the nutritional content of maggots cultivated using hatching egg waste as a feed medium. Carried out in two stages, the first stage involves rearing maggots using hatching egg waste and tofu dregs, while the second stage focuses on analyzing the nutritional content of maggots. The research involved five treatments and four replications, with controls P0 (100% tofu dregs), P1 (75% tofu dregs + 25% egg hatching waste), P2 (50% tofu dregs + 50% egg hatching waste), P3 (tofu dregs 25% + 75% egg hatching waste, and P4 (100% egg hatching waste). Each replication used one gram of BSF fly eggs, with tofu dregs and egg hatching waste being fed as much as 20 kg/biopond during rearing. The variables observed involved dry matter, ash content, crude fat, crude fiber, and crude protein. The results showed that P4 treatment produced maggots with the highest nutritional content, especially in terms of crude protein. In conclusion, the best food media was found in treatment P4, providing the potential to improve the nutritional quality of maggots as an alternative food source.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the type and nutritional quality of feed and its effect on the productivity of super kampung chickens in The East Lombok Regency. This research was conducted by collecting data from ten farmers with a minimum population of a thousand super kampung chickens in East Lombok. Parameters observed were the type of feed used, the nutritional content of the feed, feed consumption, harvest weight, and feed conversion. The data obtained are tabulated and then discussed descriptively by comparing the nutritional content, feed consumption, harvest weight, and feed conversion obtained with the Indonesian Nasional Standard (SNI). Based on the results of the research conducted all breeders who were the target of the study used complete feed. There are 6 types of complete feed that are used and come from 4 different companies, namely GM-PS, GM-1EJ, SB11, HDBR1-168LCR, 811K NEWHOPE, HDBR 161 A. The feed consumption obtained ranges from 1.5-3.15 kg with an average of 2.26 kg/head/period. Harvested weight ranged from 0.84-0.91 kg/head with an average of 0.87 kg/head with an FCR value of 2.68. The conclusion of this study is that in general the nutritional content and quality of the feed used have met the standards based on SNI, but not followed by productivity that meets the standards.

Abstract

Eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes) adalah tanaman air yang melimpah namun sering dianggap sebagai gulma dan potensi sebagai pakan alternatif untuk unggas karena kandungan nutrisinya yang baik.Namun, tingginya kandungan serat kasar menjadi kendala utama dalam pemanfaatannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi dosis inokulum dan lama inkubasi terhadap kandungan energi, bahan organik (BO) dan pH eceng gondok yang difermentasi menggunakan Neurospora crassa. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap pola faktorial dengan variasi dosis inokulum (1%, 2%, 3%) dan lama inkubasi (5 dan 7 hari). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fermentasi eceng gondok pada dosis 1% dan lama fermentasi 7 hari  dapat menurunkan kandungan serat kasar. Kesimpulan dari penelitan ini adalah dosis inokulum 1% dengan lama fermentasi 5 hari dapat menurunkan kandungan  serat kasar 23,57%, dengan kandungan energi 3753,38 Kkal/kg, kandungan bahan organik 89,77% dan pH 7,47.
