Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Think Pair Share type of Cooperative Learning model and its impact on improving students' understanding in Islamic Religious Education at SMP Negeri 1 Airgegas. The background of this research is the low level of students’ comprehension of Islamic Religious Education material, which is attributed to the use of monotonous and passive teaching methods. The research employs a quantitative approach, involving two sample classes: an experimental class applying the Think Pair Share model and a control class using conventional teaching methods. The implementation of the TPS model in the experimental class was carried out through three stages: think (individual reflection), pair (discussion in pairs), and share (sharing discussion results with the class). The research instruments used were pre-tests and post-tests to measure students' understanding before and after the treatment. The Wilcoxon test results for the experimental group showed a significant improvement between pre-test and post-test scores, indicating that the TPS model effectively enhanced students’ comprehension. Furthermore, the Mann-Whitney test showed a significant difference between the post-test scores of the experimental and control groups, suggesting that students taught using the TPS model achieved a higher level of understanding compared to those taught with conventional methods

Abstract

Rehobot Palangka Raya Junior High School (SMP) is a Christian school that has a vision to become a center of education and the formation of superior national leaders who are strong in intelligence, faith, and character. Student characteristics are one of the variables of teaching conditions in schools. Student characteristics are one of the variables of teaching conditions in schools. So character is a portrait of a person's good and bad self. A student is not only required to be smart in thinking, but must also be smart in behaving. Therefore, SMP Rehobot has character assessment indicators in the form of order and discipline, responsibility, and growth of faith. So far, the recapitulation of student character determination values has been carried out by teachers writing student values into a recapitulation book. This makes it difficult for schools to determine assessments because assessments are carried out every school day. Using a manual method also makes it difficult for teachers to weight each student's grades. Using manual methods also makes it difficult for teachers to weight each student's grades. The purpose of creating this system is to make it easier for schools to manage behavioral data in the school environment and determine final grades accurately, making it easier for homeroom teachers to know the development of student character. System development uses ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram) and DFD (Data Flow Diagram). This application was developed using Microsoft Excel.

Abstract

Watakham Studio, a music studio operating in Palangka Raya, currently manages rental data manually, which can lead to recording errors, service delays, and difficulties in data archiving. This research aims to design and develop a music studio rental information system using the Waterfall method. This method is chosen due to its systematic approach, consisting of the following phases: requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The developed information system focuses on the digital management of rental schedules, customer data, and transaction reports. A case study was conducted directly at Watakham Studio to ensure the system meets the real needs of users. The implementation results show that the system can accelerate operational processes, reduce the risk of errors, and improve service efficiency. By applying the Waterfall method, the developed information system operates according to the initial design and has a positive impact on studio management.

Abstract

This study is motivated by issues related to the effectiveness of the Inspectorate’s supervision of financial management at the Secretariat of the DPRD of Lebak Regency, particularly the persistent gaps between regulations, administrative practices, and governance integrity. Various findings such as delays in audit follow-up and excess travel-payment cases indicate the need for a comprehensive evaluation of the regional internal oversight function. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach based on an input process output outcome paradigm. Data were collected through interviews with eight key informants, observations, and a review of financial documents and regulatory frameworks. The theoretical framework refers to Richard M. Steers’ organizational effectiveness theory, which encompasses four main dimensions. Research instruments include in depth interviews, document analysis, and thematic analysis using Robert K. Yin’s case study model. The results show that the effectiveness of the Inspectorate remains suboptimal across all dimensions. Organizationally, the number of auditors and the support of financial information systems remain inadequate. Environmentally, unit-level resistance and political pressure weaken supervisory independence. The worker dimension reveals gaps in competence and integrity. Meanwhile, the management dimension demonstrates weak follow-up mechanisms, suboptimal monitoring, and limited technology based innovations. These conditions contribute to recurring findings, slow resolution of excess payments, and limited public transparency. The study concludes that strengthening human resources, enhancing institutional independence, digitizing audit systems, and enforcing follow-up mechanisms are strategic steps needed to improve supervisory effectiveness.
