Abstract

The Community empowerment is an effort to provide strength and capability to the community to become self-sufficient and develop their potential. It is an effort to help the community improve their quality of life, whether in terms of religion, economy, or social aspects. One way of serving the community is through empowering them with Islamic religious activities. Community empowerment through Islamic religion in the Tihu Village, Teluk Ambon District, Maluku Province aims to increase religious awareness, strengthen religious values, develop skills, increase tolerance, and improve the welfare of the community. This community service activity is carried out by providing understanding and experience of Islamic religion that aligns with the values of goodness and truth. Community empowerment through Islamic religious activities is carried out through preaching, guidance, or religious counseling. Through these activities, 70% of the participants already understand and can implement worship activities, especially in anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan. Therefore, community empowerment through Islamic religious activities needs to be continually encouraged and developed in building a peaceful and prosperous community harmony.

Abstract

The issue of high divorce rates in Indonesia has become a serious concern. To address this, efforts are needed to strengthen family relationships. This research aims to describe that the enduring cultural and religious values play a significant role in fostering family harmony. The study focuses on families in Negeri Hukurila, Ambon City, an area renowned for its deep respect for cultural traditions and social ties. For this purpose, the research employs a qualitative research method using in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that families in Negeri Hukurila play a pivotal role in preserving cultural values and fostering community solidarity. These traditional cultural values serve as a strong foundation for family harmony, such as the concepts of sarikat and badraheng. Sarikat is a cultural concept emphasizing cooperation and mutual assistance among clans within a community to address tasks or issues. Meanwhile, badraheng underscores the importance of solidarity, mutual support, and collaboration among extended family members of a clan to face potential challenges and conflicts. Additionally, religious values and activities also contribute to strengthening family bonds. Programs like pre-marital counseling and religious education have aided in shaping positive attitudes and behaviors within families. For the people of Negeri Hukurila, the noble culture and religion are inseparable. They liken religion and culture to three foundational pillars (tiga batutungku). Therefore, integrating cultural and religious values becomes essential in enhancing family relationships.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melanjutkan penelitian tentang perspektif Moh. Sjafei dalam konsep pendidikan yang bertujuan membangun jiwa merdeka di Ruang Pendidik INS Kayutanam. Konsep pendidikan merdeka diaktualisasikan dalam taksonomi pembelajaran merdeka dan aliran filsafat pendidikannya. Istilah taksonomi pembelajaran itu sendiri lebih populer digunakan oleh Bloom sejak tahun 1956. Namun, jauh sebelum itu, sejak tahun 1926, praktik dan konsepnya telah dikenalkan oleh Moh. Sjafei melalui ruang pendidikan INS Kayutanam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi pustaka. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa terdapat tiga dimensi taksonomi pembelajaran Moh. Sjafei, yaitu dimensi otak, hati, dan tangan. Dimensi otak memiliki beberapa tingkatan, yaitu mulai dari inzicht (memberikan pemahaman), habits (pembiasaan), inovasi, dan produsir (mencipta). Sedangkan dimensi hati melingkupi kesenian, keagamaan, dan kemasyarakatan. Selanjutnya, dimensi tangan melingkupi pembelajaran keterampilan yang dapat memerdekakan jiwa siswa. Ketiga bagian ini harus seimbang dan diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Sedangkan filsafat pendidikan sebagai dasar dari konsep taksonomi Sjafei adalah filsafat pragmatisme.

Abstract

Tradisi kepemimpinan di masyarakat Minangkabau telah lama dikenal memiliki ciri khas yang kuat, yang didasarkan pada sistem matrilineal dan kearifan lokal yang dikenal sebagai adat. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki peran yang dimainkan oleh adat dalam konteks tradisi kepemimpinan Minangkabau, serta menganalisis bagaimana peran tersebut telah mengalami perubahan dan kontinuitas di era modern. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Dengan merujuk pada literatur etnografi dan sumber-sumber historis, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi peran adat dalam pemilihan, pelantikan, dan pelaksanaan kepemimpinan tradisional di Minangkabau. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adat memiliki peran sentral dalam tradisi kepemimpinan Minangkabau, berperan sebagai pedoman moral, etika, dan norma yang mengatur perilaku para pemimpin. Namun, dalam era modern yang diwarnai oleh globalisasi, urbanisasi, dan dinamika sosial ekonomi, peran adat telah mengalami perubahan signifikan. Terjadi adaptasi dan reinterpretasi adat untuk mengakomodasi tuntutan dan tantangan kontemporer, sementara tetap mempertahankan nilai-nilai tradisional yang mendasar. Artikel ini juga menyoroti bagaimana hubungan antara adat dan institusi modern, seperti pemerintah daerah dan organisasi masyarakat, telah membentuk dinamika baru dalam tradisi kepemimpinan. Integrasi unsur-unsur adat dalam kebijakan dan praktik modern menghasilkan kerangka kerja unik yang mencoba menjaga keseimbangan antara warisan budaya dan tuntutan perkembangan. Kesimpulannya, peran adat dalam tradisi kepemimpinan Minangkabau tetap relevan meskipun telah mengalami perubahan dalam era modern. Kontinuitas dan perubahan ini mencerminkan dinamika kompleks antara warisan budaya dan tuntutan zaman. Artikel ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman tentang transformasi tradisi kepemimpinan di masyarakat yang menghargai adat dan menghadapi perubahan global secara bersamaan.

Abstract

This article examines the issues of children's quality of life in Indonesia, particularly in cities that are not conducive for children, characterized by a high level of violence against children, inadequate infrastructure meeting children's needs, and low stakeholder involvement in policies and child protection in those cities. The research aims to describe efforts to improve the quality of life for children through the implementation of child-friendly city policies within the framework of regional autonomy. The research methodology employed a qualitative approach, utilizing literature reviews and policy studies. The results of this study indicate that efforts to enhance Child-Friendly Cities within the regional autonomy policy framework involve the development of policies, programs, strategies, and development activities prioritizing children's rights. Initiatives include the declaration of Child-Friendly City policies, the development of infrastructure tailored to children's needs, and the enhancement of child protection systems. The implications of this research provide a clear understanding of the crucial role of active stakeholder involvement in building child-friendly cities. By integrating principles of regional autonomy policies, this study establishes a foundation for formulating more effective strategies and programs to enhance the quality of life for children in cities. Furthermore, it offers recommendations for the implementation of similar policies in different regional contexts.

Abstract

Social exclusion in the form of discrimination and intolerance has reached remote villages, including Hukurila Village, South Leitimur District, Ambon City. This act of exclusion occurred due to the low understanding of social change agencies in the village in terms of implementation and dynamics of planning inclusive village development programs. Apart from that, the amount of human resources and skills they have in the implementation and dynamics of planning inclusive village development programs is also relatively low. Due to this problem, strategic steps are needed in building inclusive villages with comprehensive training activities for change agents in Hukurila Village, South Leitimur District, Ambon City. Training and mentoring methods for development agents is one solution to overcome this problem. The activity program was implemented involving village government officials, community leaders, traditional leaders, religious leaders, youth leaders and women's leaders, as well as change agent groups in Hukurila Village, South Leitimur District, Ambon City. The result of this activity is an increase in the number of human resources, knowledge and skills of partners in implementing inclusive village development program planning in Hukurila Village, South Leitimur District, Ambon City.

Abstract

Road infrastructure development is an important step in increasing connectivity and economic growth in an area. However, often road construction can have a negative impact on the environment if it is not managed properly. Preparing an Environmental Impact Analysis (AMDAL) is one approach that can minimize these negative impacts and maintain a balance between development and the environment. This community service aims to increase people's understanding in Hila Country, Central Maluku, about the importance of AMDAL in road construction. Through various participatory and educational activities, the service team aims to provide information about the AMDAL process, its benefits in road construction, and the importance of community involvement in environmental impact assessments. The methods used in this service involve interactive workshops, group discussions, and distribution of educational material about AMDAL. Apart from that, the service team also collaborates with related agencies to provide training to local government staff on the AMDAL process in order to improve understanding and effective implementation of AMDAL. It is hoped that the results of this service will create awareness among the community about the importance of AMDAL in road construction and their active role in making decisions regarding environmental impacts. Apart from that, it is also hoped that it can encourage broader and more comprehensive implementation of AMDAL in development projects in this area in order to achieve a sustainable environment and high carrying capacity.

Abstract

This article examines a strategic approach to maximize the formation of an outstanding generation through integrated socialization. Its primary focus is on strengthening the foundation of the Family well-being in Negeri Hukurila, a traditional village, as the initial basis for developing strong individual character and potential. By integrating the principles of the Family well-being into various community engagement activities, this article highlights the importance of collaboration and active participation of the community in shaping a quality younger generation. The methodology employed involves a series of activities, such as training, group discussions, and workshops, designed to enhance awareness, understanding, and application of the Family well-being concept in daily life. The results indicate that strategic socialization in strengthening the foundation of the Family well-being can significantly contribute to the formation of character, values, and competencies of the younger generation in Negeri Hukurila. The implications of this article emphasize the need for a holistic and sustainable approach in efforts to develop a community oriented towards family welfare and the growth of an excellent generation.

Abstract

Isu intoleransi dan konflik di kalangan siswa di wilayah yang kaya akan keberagaman, seperti Maluku, menuntut adanya pendekatan pendidikan yang dapat menanamkan nilai-nilai toleransi dan perdamaian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal Maluku dalam hidden curriculum sebagai strategi untuk membangun toleransi dan perdamaian di sekolah dasar. Nilai-nilai lokal seperti Pela, Gandong, Famili, Badati, Masohi, dan Ma’anu memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk norma sosial yang tidak tercantum secara eksplisit dalam kurikulum formal, namun diinternalisasikan melalui interaksi sehari-hari di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi di beberapa sekolah dasar di Maluku. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan hidden curriculum berbasis kearifan lokal berhasil meningkatkan toleransi dan perdamaian di kalangan siswa. Pela dan Gandong, sebagai simbol ikatan persaudaraan lintas agama dan wilayah, diintegrasikan melalui kegiatan kolaboratif antar siswa yang menekankan persatuan. Nilai Famili membentuk budaya kekeluargaan di sekolah, menciptakan lingkungan yang inklusif, saling menghormati, dan solidaritas untuk mencegah konflik. Selain itu, Badati dan Masohi, yang menekankan kerja sama melalui gotong royong, diterapkan dalam pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan kegiatan komunitas. Nilai Ma’anu mengajarkan penghormatan terhadap perbedaan, memperkuat pendidikan karakter, dan mendorong terciptanya perdamaian di lingkungan sekolah. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa hidden curriculum berbasis kearifan lokal Maluku dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam menciptakan generasi yang toleran dan menjunjung perdamaian.
