Abstract

Bahasa Arab sebagai bahasa Internasional, dipakai lebih dari 200jt jiwa di dunia. Tidak dipungkiri pembelajaran bahasa Arab mengalami perkembangan yang pesat. Pembelajaran bahasa Arab diarahkan untuk mendorong, membimbing, mengembangkan dan membina kemampuan bahasa Arab baik reseptif maupun produktif. Pembelajaran bahasa Arab berbasis teknologi digital modern merupakan modal utama untuk menarik minat siswa untuk belajar bahasa arab karena lebih bervasiasi dan berinovasi dan mempermudah peserta didik memahami pelajaran. Di pondok pesantren Darul Amin Bustanul Afirin pembelajaran bahasa arab masih sangat tradisional dan tidak bervariasi sehingga dirasa perlu untuk dilakukan pendampingan melalui media digital modern yang bertujuan agar peserta didik lebih mengenal teknologi digital modern dengan baik, jenis dan fungsi masing-masingnya serta dapat memanfaatkannya dalam pembelajaran. Pendampingan menggunakan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang dilakukan dalam 3 tahapan: persiapan, pelaksanaan dan eavaluasi. Hasil pendampingan ini diantaranya: peserta didik antusias mengikuti pembelajaran bahasa Arab, meningkatnya kepercayaan diri peserta didik dalam pembelajaran, serta adanya peningkatan kemampuan bahasa Arab peserta didik setelah mengikuti pendampingan.

Abstract

Emotions are feelings that have a big influence on behavior. Therefore, emotions are an important aspect in human life. Humans have many ways to express the emotions they feel. For example, literary works include poetry, novels, films, dramas, diaries, biographies and songs. However, it is not uncommon for someone to use a foreign language song to describe their feelings, the lyrics of the song are not in sync with what the person wants to convey because they don't know how to translate the song lyrics, let alone the meaning of the song. . This research aims to find out what emotions are contained in song lyrics, especially Nancy Ajram's songs, based on David Krech's emotion classification theory. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive research method in which the results of the analysis are described and qualified based on the existing theory. used is David Krech's emotion classification theory. The results of this research are, of the four classifications of emotions proposed by David Krech, not all classifications of emotions are found in the lyrics of Nancy Ajram's songs, Nancy Ajram's songs are suitable as a medium for expressing emotions, of course by knowing the contents of the song first.

Abstract

Kajian penelitian ini adalah berfokus pada bagaimana upaya menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri berbicara bahasa Arab mahasiswa melalui grup Whatsapp di Prodi Bahasa dan Sastra Arab STAIN Mandailing Natal. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan upaya menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri pada mahasiswa Bahasa dan Sastra Arab STAIN Mandailing Natal dalam berbicara bahasa Arab melalui grup Whatsapp. Hasil positif yang menjadi kontribusi dari penelitian ini adalah hal positif yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh para pendidik dalam penggunaan grup Whatsapp sebagai salah satu upaya menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri bagi para mahasiswa untuk berbicara bahasa Arab, melatih mahasiswa untuk berani berbicara dengan bahasa Arab, dan menjadi salah satu sumber pemikiran strategi pembelajaran Muhadatsah di Prodi Bahasa dan Sastra Arab STAIN Mandailing Natal.

Abstract

مستخلص البحث: يوجد العديد من الأخطاء في نطق الأصوات العربية لدى الطلاب الجامعي. ولا يقتصر على الطلاب الخريجين من المدارس الثانوية أو المدارس المهنية، بل يشمل أيضاً بعض الطلاب الخريجين من المدارس الإسلامية. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل التحديات التي يواجهها الدارسون الإندونيسيون في تعلم الأصوات العربية ولمعرفة الحلول المقترحة لمواجهتها. والمنهج المستخدم في هذا البحث هو الوصفي التحليلي بدراسة المصادر والمراجع من كتب ومقالات علمية. وتشير نتائج البحث إلى أن من التحديات في تعلم أصوات اللغة العربية هي: التحديات من جهة المشكلات الصوتية، والتحديات من قبل الدارسين، والتحديات من قبل المدرسين. وأما من الحلول لمواجهة هذه التحديات منها: التدريبات المستمرة والتركيز على الأصوات المعينة، واعطاء التشجيعات للدارسين، واستعمال الوسائل الرقمية والزكاء الإصطنائي للتدريبات في النطق الأصوات العربية، وتصميم المواد تعليم الأصوات على دراسة تقابلية، وعلى المدرسين أن يفهموا خصائص ومميزات الاصوات العربية، وأن يرتكز على تعليم الأصوات قبل تعليم المفردات والقواعد. الكلمات الأساسية : التحديات، الحلول، تعليم الأصوات Abstract: There are some errors in the pronunciation of Arabic sounds among university students. These errors are not limited to graduates of general or vocational high schools but also include some graduates of Islamic schools. This study aims to analyze the challenges faced by Indonesian learners in learning Arabic phonetics and identify solutions to address these challenges. The method used in this research is descriptive-analytical, involving the review of sources and references from books and scientific articles. The result indicate that the challenges in learning Arabic phonetics include phonetic-related issues, challenges from the learners’ side, and challenges from the teachers’ side. Proposed solutions to these challenges include intensive practice and focus on specific sounds, providing motivation to learners, utilizing digital tools and artificial intelligence for pronunciation training, designing phonetic learning materials based on contrastive studies, and ensuring that teachers understand the characteristics and features of Arabic sounds, and phonetic teaching be prioritized before vocabulary and grammar teaching. Abstract

Abstract: Researching the matter is very important in understanding the words of God and the hadiths of the Prophet and deriving legal rulings from them. In this letter, I discussed the matter in terms of its meanings, for the presence of the meanings of the command that depart from its original meaning. It was said: The principle of the matter is to be obligatory, and it was said: The matter is a verb request from the highest to the lowest. If we notice the command words in the Noble Qur’an and the hadiths of the Prophet and Arabic sentences. We find command words that came out of its original meaning. The author specified the search for the meanings of the matter in the hadiths related to zakat, because hadith is the second source of Sharia rulings after the Holy Qur’an. Abstract

This community service project on Arabic translation training at Al-Mandiliy Islamic Boarding School, Panyabungan, Mandailing Natal, aimed to improve students’ proficiency in Arabic, with a focus on translation skills. Utilizing the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, the program actively involved students and teachers in identifying problems, planning solutions, implementing training, and conducting joint evaluations. The training consisted of several phases: problem identification, participatory planning, interactive implementation, reflection, joint evaluation, and sustainable follow-up. The results demonstrated significant improvement in students' understanding of Arabic-to-Indonesian translation techniques and strategies, particularly in conveying meaning within appropriate contextual frameworks. Despite these gains, challenges such as limited vocabulary, inadequate grammar mastery, over-reliance on literal translation, and difficulty in constructing well-formed Indonesian sentences were observed. Reflection and evaluation phases revealed substantial progress in the students' translation competence. Overall, the training not only enhanced the students' Arabic skills but also contributed to the broader improvement of educational quality at the boarding school. These outcomes are essential for strengthening students’ capacity to comprehend Islamic texts and prepare them for academic, religious, and social responsibilities.

Abstract

Learning the speaking skill needs practice and a correct example from the teacher. Then, the Islamic Higher Institute Dar al-Qur’an Payakumbuh using the native speaker to teach the speaking skill at that institute. This research aims to find out the implementation of the process of learning the speaking skill with a native speaker, its advantages and disadvantages. The research method used in this research is the descriptive method with qualitative approach analysis. The results of this research are: The first: The process of teaching and learning the speaking skill with the native speaker at the Islamic Higher Institute Dar Al-Qur’an Payakumbuh is implemented to the beginner level. The second: The advantages of learning the speaking skill with the native speaker, including: The students found the example of correct pronunciation from vocabulary and speaking with correct accent, intonation,vocabulary, phrases and styles of the famous Arabic language and used by Arabs. Also, by learning the speaking skill with native speaker, the students found exciting, enthusiastic, and encouraged to upgrade their ability to speak, and the third: disadvantages of learning the speaking skill with the native speaker, which is especially for beginners in the Arabic language, they are difficult to understand the explanation from the teacher because of his speed in speaking, and lack of their Arabic vocabularies, and lack of their comprehension in grammar and morphology.

Abstract

Objective- Reveal the strategies teachers use in improving Arabic communication skills among learners. This is important to do considering that the ability of students in Islamic boarding schools in Arabic is often not found a balance between ability in grammatical aspects and communication skills. Design / Methodology / Qualitative- Approach is used as a research method, this is because data and typical do not require statistical analysis. The research was carried out at the Daruttawhid Jambur Mandailing Natal Islamic Boarding School. The research informants were Arabic teachers and purposively selected learners. Data are collected by observation techniques, interviews and documentation studies, the data that has been collected are analyzed interactively.  Findings- The results of the study found that to improve the communication skills of Arabic students at Daruttawhid Jambur Islamic boarding school, the use of Arabic does not only take place in the classroom, but the teacher also guides and directs students to make Arabic a communication tool in life in the Islamic boarding school environment. Keywords: Communication Skills, learning strategies, language activities. Teachers use communicative strategies in improving Arabic communication skills, namely making Arabic a communication tool in formal learning and daily life.  Research Limitations/Implications- Researchers have not conducted trials of the strategies used by Arabic teachers. Therefore, the next research or subsequent researchers can conduct studies on these aspects. The implication of the findings of this study is that the combination of grammatical knowledge that is the strength of pesantren can be balanced with the use of daily Arabic, so that students have communication skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the forms of code mixing and the factors causing it in the Whatsapp group of E-Commerce Campus, the family of lecturers, and the academic community of STAIN Mandailing Natal. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The primary data collection technique involves documentation, which entails collecting chat messages in the Whatsapp group for 24 days, from March 6, 2024, to March 29, 2024. Meanwhile, secondary data consists of books and scholarly articles related to the research title. The data analysis technique utilizes Milles and Huberman's theory, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The research results reveal the forms of code mixing in the Whatsapp group of E-Commerce Campus, comprising 28 word forms and 28 phrase forms. The factors causing code mixing are multilingual ability, educational background, diverse regional backgrounds, and the tendency to follow trends in buying and selling, often using English terms such as "ready," "order," and others.
