Abstract

Practical difficulties often hinder students' understanding of simple electrical circuits. Confirmative practicums limit creativity as they do not provide opportunities for students to explore experiments independently. Furthermore, traditional practicums fail to accommodate diverse conceptual levels, including high and low electrical flow comprehension. To address these challenges, this study aimed to develop a virtual lab supplemented with an alternative solution worksheet for teaching simple electrical circuits to elementary school students. The research employed the Alessi & Trollip development model, encompassing three stages: planning, designing, and developing. Each stage involved continuous evaluations to ensure the quality of the developed product. Data collection methods included observations, interviews, and questionnaires, with validation performed by material and media experts. Data analysis utilized qualitative descriptive techniques to assess the product's effectiveness. The results indicated that the material validation test achieved an average score classified as "very good," with a percentage of 85.00%. Similarly, media validation results demonstrated an average percentage of 80.11%, also categorized as "very good." The implementation of the virtual lab showed significant improvements in students' understanding, as reflected in their test scores. The average pre-test score was 31.63, which increased substantially to an average post-test score of 70.51. These findings suggest that the virtual lab, combined with alternative solution worksheets, effectively enhances students' conceptual understanding and creativity in learning simple electrical circuits. This approach offers a promising alternative to traditional practicums for improving science education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan implementasi media pembelajaran Quizziz pada siswa kelas IV UPTD SD Negeri 2 Bakam. Dalam penerapan kurikulum merdeka telah ditetapkan kriteria ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran sebagai salah satu indikator untuk mengukur hasil proses pembelajaran. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 24 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan observasi non partisipatif. Indikator keberhasilan tindakan terhadap hasil belajar dinilai dari interval nilai yang diperoleh siswa dalam mencapai ketuntasan yaitu minimal mendapatkan nilai 66. Pada tahap perencanaan terdapat 18 siswa (75%) berada pada kriteria belum mencapai ketuntasan, sedangkan 6 siswa (25%) pada kriteria mencapai ketuntasan. Pada tahap pelaksanaan jumlah siswa mencapai kriteria ketuntasan sebanyak 12 siswa (50%), sedangkan belum mencapai ketuntasan sebanyak 12 siswa (50%). Pada tahap evaluasi sebanyak 22 dari 24 siswa dengan presentase 92% mencapai ketuntasan, sedangkan tidak mencapai ketuntasan dengan presentase 8%.

Abstract

Pendidikan di Indonesia masih rendah dibanding dengan negara-negara lainnya. Salah satunya yaitu pengaruh kurangnya literasi atau minat baca pada siswa maupun mahasiswa serta kemampuan dalam berpikir kritis (critical thinking) yang masih rendah. Perpustakaan sekolah merupakan sumber daya literasi yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh sekolah untuk membantu meningkatkan kemampuan literasi peserta didik di sekolah. Perpustakaan secara luas diakui sebagai sumber literasi yang penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan perpustakaan dalam mendukung kegiatan literasi membaca siswa SD Negeri 10 Bakam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru, kepala sekolah dan 34 siswa kelas III—VI SD Negeri 10 Bakam. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik triangulasi triangulasi sumber yakni menggali kebenaran informasi tertentu melalui berbagai metode dan sumber perolehan data. Selain melalui wawancara dan observasi, peneliti bisa menggunakan observasi terlibat (participant obervation), dokumen tertulis, arsip, dokumen sejarah, catatan resmi, catatan atau tulisan pribadi dan gambar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemanfaatan perpustakaan dalam pembelajaran berbagai aspek, seperti pemanfaatan sarana perpustakaan, pemanfaatan koleksi serta kunjungan perpustakaan telah di terapkan di SD Negeri 10 Bakam. Selain itu SD Negeri 10 Bakam telah menerapkan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah ( GLS) yang di wajibkan untuk seluruh siswa. Program tersebut seperti wajib berkunjung ke perpustakaan, membaca 15 menit sebelum belajar dan penggunaan pojok baca.

Abstract

This study was motivated by elementary students' limited mastery of object vocabulary and the lack of engaging learning media that suit learners' characteristics. The main objective of this study was to develop a visual thinking-based flashcard that is feasible for object vocabulary learning. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, limited to the stages of analysis, design, development, validation, and practicality testing. The study was conducted at SD Negeri 1 Pangkalpinang involving two validators and nine first-grade students. Data were collected through validation and practicality questionnaires. The results showed that the developed media obtained a validity score of 92.5% from the media expert and 92.5% from the material expert, both categorized as highly valid. The practicality test yielded a score of 94%, categorized as highly practical. Therefore, the visual thinking-based flashcard is feasible for use in object vocabulary learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study is predicated on the observed variations in learning styles among students during the educational process. Such differences in learning preferences are posited to impact students’ comprehension of instructional materials and consequently, thei academic achievement. Accordingly, the objective of this research is to examine the correlation between learning styles and the academic outcomes of fourth-grade students in science at SD Negeri 3 Muntok. A quantitative approach employing a correlational research design was utilized in this study. The sample comprised 21 students from class IV B at SD Negeri 3 Muntok. Data collection instruments included questionnaires to identify students’ learning styles, classroom observations to corroborate findings regarding learning preferences, and documentation of learning outcomes through students’ Final Semester Examination (UAS) scores. Data analysis involved the application of normality and linearity tests, and Pearson Product-Moment correlation analysis, conducted using IBM SPSS 26 software. The result of the data analysis shows that the correlation coefficient for visual learning style is 0,525, auditory learning style is 0,518, and kinesthetic learning style is 0,455, indicating thas all three learning styles have a positive correlation between learning style and students’ learning outcomes. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between learning styles and the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in science subjects at SD Negeri 3 Muntok, with the visual learning style having the highest correlation compared to the auditory and kinesthetic learning styles.
