Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai respons terhadap berbagai hambatan yang dihadapi siswa dalam menulis teks cerpen, seperti keterbatasan waktu dan padatnya kegiatan sekolah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan metode alternatif guna menunjang pengembangan keterampilan menulis siswa. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan teks pentigraf yang dipadukan dengan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dan didukung oleh media aplikasi Wattpad untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif yang membandingkan hasil pre-test dan post-test siswa dalam menulis teks pentigraf. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI SMK TI Pembangunan Cimahi menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan, yaitu dari nilai rata-rata 75,56 menjadi 89,91 setelah perlakuan. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menulis teks pentigraf menggunakan model CTL dan media Wattpad terbukti efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aimed to comprehensively examine the development process, feasibility, effectiveness, and implementation constraints of teaching materials based on the Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) model assisted by Canva in improving students’ procedural text writing skills and self-confidence. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method with the stages of needs analysis, design, product development, expert validation, product revision, limited trial, extensive trial, and final product. The results indicated that the development process was conducted in a structured and systematic manner in accordance with the R&D stages. The feasibility of the developed product was categorized as very feasible, as reflected by the average feasibility percentages of 97.07% for teaching materials, 96.19% for student worksheets, 94.67% for learning media, and 96.83% for lesson plans. Effectiveness testing showed a significant improvement in students’ procedural text writing skills, indicated by an increase in the mean score from 59.20 in the pretest to 76.85 in the posttest, with an N-Gain value of 0.41 in the moderate category. In addition, students’ self-confidence increased significantly from 49.64% in the fair category to 84.22% in the very good category. Implementation constraints included students’ need to adapt to the argument construction stage and the necessity for optimal time management by teachers. Overall, the Canva-assisted ADI teaching materials were proven to be feasible, effective, and have strong potential as an innovative alternative for teaching procedural text writing in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study investigates ideological representations in the Indonesian contemporary novel Pulang by Tere Liye through Teun A. van Dijk’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) model. The research aims to reveal how language in the novel functions as a medium of ideology and social critique. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the analysis focuses on macrostructure, superstructure, and microstructure to interpret selected textual excerpts. The findings demonstrate that Pulang conveys three dominant ideologies. First, moral humanism, which highlights honesty, self-awareness, and humanity as guiding values. Second, social nationalism, which emphasizes family, local traditions, and homeland as moral foundations. Third, anti-capitalism combined with spirituality, which critiques materialistic dominance and underscores the pursuit of inner peace. These ideologies position the novel not only as a literary narrative but also as a discourse that reflects social criticism and offers moral and spiritual insights. The study concludes that Pulang contributes to understanding how contemporary Indonesian literature articulates ideological perspectives in response to modern social challenges.

Abstract

Indonesian language learning on writing skills is followed by all students in the class. There is low student interest and ability in writing, finding the main idea and developing an idea, which requires innovation in writing activities. One way to overcome this is by using learning strategies, namely applying the PBL model assisted by film media so that students can observe objects directly and realistically. This research aims to determine students' responses to learning to apply the PBL model assisted by film media on explanatory text writing skills. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The objects in this research were class XI high school students. This research uses a questionnaire as an instrument for collecting data. The results of the research, the distribution of questionnaires distributed to 36 respondents obtained an average percentage of 70.35% in the good category. In this way, students responded well to the application of the PBL model assisted by film media on explanatory text writing skills.

Abstract

The background of research was developed by the responses of political elites to the statements of figures. The research problem was how the discourse of response and aligments from Prabowo speech entitled “Indonesia Punah” published in Kompas.com and Republika.com, which were the material objects of the research. A qualitative approach combined with a descriptive analysis techniques were applied in the research. Analysis was done by using Michael Foucault`s power relation theory. The research indicates that Kompas’ writing style tends to accentuate Jokowi’s government side as a comparison in responding to Prabowo’s speech. As for Republika, it dominates a clear description of the figure who gives the response. Then, the results of the power relations between Moeldoko and Hidayat Nur Wahid show that Moeldoko comments on behalf of the government by linking Jokowi’s performance. Meanwhile, Hidayat Nur Wahid gives a response to save the reputation of the stigma embedded in him, namely the religious figure, deputy chairman of the People`s Consultative Assembly (MPR) of the Republic of Indonesia, and Prabowo’s party bearer cadre.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low interest in writing students in learning explanatory texts in grade XI high school students. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by YouTube media in learning explanatory texts for grade XI high school students. The subjects of the study involved 33 students of grade XI MIPA 8 SMAN 1 Tempuran. The research method used was a mix method with an exploratory sequential design that combines two research methods, namely qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative data were obtained through observation sheets and questionnaires, quantitative data were obtained through tests in the form of pretests and posttests. Based on the results of observations and questionnaires carried out in the learning process using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by YouTube media, it was categorized as very good. The results of the pretest and posttest on the N-gain test obtained an average value of 0.6116. The average value is 30 ≤ N Gain ≤ 70. The average significance level is stated in the "moderate" category. The average N-Gain value in the form of a percentage is 61.1637. The value is in the range of 56-75 with an interpretation of "quite effective". It can be concluded that the use of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by YouTube media is interpreted as being quite effective.
