Abstract

Youth of the nation in achieving milestones of development of a region Phenomenon among youth is often the case in rural areas. In Ponorogo society showed that in fact a large number of the population worked as agricultural labor switched professions to other sectors. Youth interest in trying peasant farmers are sometimes beaten by their interest to go abroad to look for a better job. This study aims to determine the factors that lead to low interest farm youth in the agricultural sector in Ponorogo from April to August 2015. The research was conducted in six villages, namely: Myrtle village, Mojorejo village, Siwalan village, Sukosari village, Demangan village, and Badegan village, based on the consideration that the location of the farm is still widespread, people do more overseas because earnings as a laborer was minimal. The method used is quantitative method. Each sample using a proportional stratified random sampling, the population is divided into several sections (subpopulations) in each district based on the number of workers employed in agriculture. Samples were taken 72 people. Analysis of data using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results showed that income, condition family, community, and social significantly affect the interest of farmers and most respondents still have to to farm activity

Abstract

A study that was aimed to describe the effects of capital, selling price and labour cost on income from presto tawes fish processing business at area of Gajah Mungkur Reservoir, Wonogiri Regency was conducted at Wonogiri and Wuryantoro Districts. Thirty farmers out of 42 farmers dealing with such a business were used as respondents. Results of this study showed that capital, selling price and labour cost either simultaneously or partially affected income. Capital was the most dominant variable affecting income of presto tawes fish processing business

Abstract

The aims of this research were to describe the market balancing variable influence, goods balancing, producer balancing, distributor balancing toward the distributor channel choosing for zalacca in Pasuruan. Respondents were taken from the population using random simple sampling technique toward the zalacca farmer. The results showed that market balancing variable, goods balancing, producer balancing, and distributor balancing simultaneously influenced decision of distribution channel choosing of zalacca by farmers at the study area. Abstract

Trash from the newspaper is something that is often overlooked and considered one eye by some people. Midden in down-town city often do not immediately handled well. In fact, if utilized will bring value to the efforts to find a distinct advantage. Garbage such as old newspapers, cardboard and garbage that comes from the dried leaves can be recycled into craft high value such as bags, photo frames, mirror frames, tissue box, blocnotes. This study aims to look at the benefits, costs and feasibility of the business of recycling newsprint. This event was held at the business group Sekarwangi from April to November 2016.The method applied is a method of collecting primary and secondary data. A set of analysis applied to answer this purpose, such as total cost, total revenue and net BC ratio. The analysis showed that the amount of the costs and benefits of newsprint recycling efforts have amounted Rp 46.612.400, - and Rp. 82.500.000, -, and this business is viable with the BC ratio of 1.77. Through the application of good management in marketing and finance will take this business as a promising business venture because it can help in increasing the family income.

Abstract

The aims of this research were to describe the market balance, goods balance, producer balance, and distributor balance influencing channel selection of zalacca producers in Pasuruan, and to analyze the dominant variable considered by the zallacca producer farmer in Pasuruan. The respondents were taken from the population of zalacca farmers by simple random sampling method resulting 50 respondents. The research results showed that market balance, goods balance, producer balance, and distributor balance variable simultaneously affected the selection of distribution channel. The distributor balance variable was the most dominant variable influencing the distribution channel selection

Abstract

An effort has been and is being carried out by the government to increase rice production and farmers while increasing revenue in the District Aimas, as the largest rice producer in the district of Sorong, is to adopt a management function in farmer groups to improve the application of rice agribusiness. The purpose of this study to (a) Determine the influence of some management functions are implemented by farmers on the application of agri Aimas paddy in the district, Sorong regency, (b) Knowing and learning costs, revenues, benefits and feasibility of rice agribusiness Aimas District, District Sorong, (c) Knowing the factors that influence the production of rice production in the District Aimas, Sorong regency, as efforts to improve the efficient use of production factors, and (d) Determine the efficiency of rice agribusiness production factors. The results showed that the application by farmers of management functions simultaneously and significantly affect the application of partial agribusiness Aimas paddy in the district, Sorong regency.Application of management functions to contribute 66% of the variation in the application of rice agribusiness Aimas district, Sorong regency. Seen partially, a function that significantly affect the application of rice agribusiness adan planning and evaluation functions. Agribusiness rice worth it in terms of RCR value 5.53, which means that any additional production cost of Rp. 1, - will generate revenue of Rp. 5:53,-. Production factors of labor, seed, fertilizer urea, KCl fertilizer, fertilizer and pesticides SP36 simultaneously significantly affect rice production. Variations of factors of production contributed 65.8% of the variation in rice production. The dominant factor affecting rice production is labor and seed. The use of production factors of labor, seed, fertilizer and pesticides KCl inefficient and needs to be reduced its use, while. The use of urea fertilizer production factors and SP36 and yet efficient and necessary, its use to increase production

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of agricultural extension for the shallot commodity in the Barokah Jaya farmer group in Beji Village, Junrejo District, Batu City. This research used a scoring system or score scale and administration technique. Training, guidance, and evaluation are the success metrics used in this research. The results show that the shallot farming extension activities of the Barokah Jaya Farmers Group can be assessed as effective by percentage. According to the operation of implementing extension training, which has a success rate of 79%, they are considered very successful. Implementing the support provided to farmers by extension workers was considered successful with a percentage of 70.5%. Implement training provided to farmers by extension workers, with a proportion of 63.5%. The evaluation procedure was assessed as successful in 69% of cases. This makes it possible to guarantee the success and satisfaction of shallot farming extension efforts in Beji Village.

Abstract

A study that was aimed to elucidate cost, revenue, profit and feasibility of farming local and high yield rice varieties, production factors affecting production of local and high yield rice varieties, and efficiency of production factors and return to scale of rice farming was conducted at Bambulung Village, Pematang Karau District of Barito Timur Regency. All rice farmers at the village was divided into two groups, i.e. farmers using local variety and farmers using high yielding variety of IR66. Production factors analyzed were land, labour, seed, urea fertilizer, SP36 fertilizer, KCl fertilizer and pesticide. Results showed that farming either local or high yielding rice varietis was profitable and feasible to be carried out. Profit made by farming high yielding rice variety was 36% greater than that of local variety. For high yielding variety, variation of production factors contributed 69,1% to variation of rice production, while variation of production factor for local variety contributed 81,8% to variation of rice production. Dominant production factors affecting production of high yielding rive variety were land and urea fertilizer, while those of local variety were land, labour and seed. All production factors of farming high yielding rice variety were not sufficiently applied and needed to be increased to achieve an efficient production level. Similarly for local variety except that SP36 that was already excessively used and need to be reduced to achieved an efficient production level.
