Abstract

Entrepreneurship education through learning Civics Education can foster the entrepreneurial character of students from an early age. In general, this research aims to obtain descriptive information regarding the application of the blended learning model in Civics learning to build the entrepreneurial character of students at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Ternate. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The results illustrate that the application of the blended learning model in Civics learning at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Ternate can build the entrepreneurial character of students because: 1) availability of Information and Technology (IT) facilities in the classroom (such as projectors, laptops and smartphones) that are sufficient to support blended learning in an interesting, creative and innovative way; 2) the application of the blended learning model in Civics learning can optimize the formation of mindsets, explore interests and talents, and learner independence in entrepreneurship. In the future, this research can be further developed by creating an entrepreneurship learning model based on local wisdom so that it is able to develop students' entrepreneurial character well.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the researcher’s anxiety about the nation’s problems that seem to never end from social conflicts related to ethnicity and religion, because of the attitude of sectoral egoism and intolerance towards diversity. The people of Banuroja are very aware of the impact of risks if social conflict befalls their citizens. This can happen due to a lack of understanding in accepting diversity as a necessity. Their critical readiness has been built very strongly, where seeing diversity is not a threat to people's lives. Therefore, it is important to strengthen social integration in multicultural societies as practiced by the Banuroja community. This study aims to describe the efforts of the Banuroja multicultural community in strengthening social integration in order to avoid the threat of conflict in their communities. This research used a qualitative approach with ethnographic study methods. The results showed that strengthening social integration in the multicultural society of Banuroja was carried out through (1) Strengthening tolerance in the midst of community diversity; 2) Prevent the emergence of sectoral egoism and foster an attitude of solidarity; and 3) Strengthening the role of community leaders as unifier from the threat of social conflict.

Abstract

This research was motivated by researchers' concerns about the morals of the younger generation, especially school age, which are being degraded due to the negative impacts of globalization and technological advances. The development of technology in the information sector, especially the ease of accessing information from the internet, has resulted in the role of educators starting to shift, especially in developing students' behavior and morals. Therefore, it is important to carry out character education intensively, especially religious character as a basic bulwark in filtering outside culture or the negative impact of technological developments. Character education can be provided through classroom learning accompanied by religious extracurriculars, in this case spiritual, so that it is more intensive and comprehensive in forming good character. This research aims to describe the form of application of religious character values in religious extracurricular activities through spiritual organizations at SMA Negeri 1 Tidore Islands City. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The results of the research show that the form of application of religious character values through religious extracurricular activities of spiritual organizations at SMA Negeri 1 Tidore Islands City is carried out in the form of: 1) the application of religious character values is instilled based on indicators of religious character, namely the value of worship, trustworthiness and sincerity. , moral and discipline values, as well as exemplary values; 2) implemented through religious extracurricular activity programs, namely daily activity programs, weekly activity programs and annual activity programs. The supporting factors in implementing religious character values through spiritual organizations include: 1) support from the school; 2) the response and development of students who are active in participating in spiritual extracurricular activities; 3) supporting facilities and infrastructure. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors in implementing spiritual activities include: 1) there is still a small number of students who do not participate in spiritual activities; 2) the time discipline of spiritual administrators is considered inconsistent. Keywords: instilling religious character values, spiritual (rohis) organization

Abstract

This research is based on a phenomenon of juvenile delinquency dropping out of school in Tanjung Una village, North Taliabu District, which is increasingly widespread, such as cheating, drunkenness and livestock theft which has disturbed the residents. Therefore, it is important to explore the role of the community in the village in exercising social control over juvenile delinquency. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The results illustrate that the role of the community in dealing with delinquency among out-of-school teenagers in Tanjung Una village is carried out in several ways, namely: 1) reprimanding teenagers who race motorbikes and get drunk, 2) approach and give advice to out-of-school teenagers to return to school, and 3 ) resolve juvenile delinquency through deliberation involving the perpetrator, parents and the village government, but if it involves unlawful acts (for example: stealing people's livestock) then it is handled directly by the village government in the form of strict sanctions/punishments. The obstacles faced by the community in dealing with delinquency among teenagers who have dropped out of school consist of 2 (two) factors, namely internal factors such as individual teenagers who find it difficult to accept advice from parents or residents and external factors originating from the family environment which pays little attention to children's relationships, love and affection. affection, as well as disharmonious family life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kepedulian peneliti terhadap fenomena dekadensi moral siswa yang disinyalir merupakan salah satu dampak dari globalisasi yang bebas nilai, seperti hedonis, seks bebas, miras, narkoba, tawuran, bullying, dsb. Kondisi demikian menjadi perhatian serius bagi dunia pendidikan khususnya lembaga sekolah yang berperan sebagai wahana psiko-pedagogis dan sosio-pedagogis dalam membentuk karakter yang baik (good character) bagi siswa. Pembentukan karakter siswa dilakukan melalui pembiasaan (habituasi) dalam pergaulan sehari-hari maupun melalui proses pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) di kelas. Oleh karena itu, penulis tertarik untuk menggali lebih dalam mengenai pemikiran Udin S. Winataputra selaku pakar dalam bidang citizenship education dengan sebuah judul penelitian yaitu PKn sebagai wahana pendidikan karakter menurut pemikiran Udin S. Winataputra.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan sejauhmana PKn dapat berfungsi sebagai pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kepustakaan (library research) yaitu studi yang menggunakan berbagai literatur, buku, dan referensi lainnya sebagai objek utama. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari data-data kepustakaan lalu dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Hasilnya menjelaskan bahwa PKn dikatakan sebagai wahana pendidikan karakter karena didasarkan pada kajian Udin S. Winataputra yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan karakter warganegara yang meliputi, yaitu: 1) pendidikan budi pekerti sebagai prakonsepsi pendidikan kewarganegaraan, dan 2) pendidikan kewarganegaraan sebagai wahana pendidikan karakter. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, Pendidikan Karakter, Udin S. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya kesadaran hak asasi manusia (HAM) pada peserta didik agar menghargai dan menghormati HAM, serta menghindari terjadinya perilaku pelanggaran HAM. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis lebih jauh terkait: 1) gambaran kesadaran HAM pada peserta didik, dan 2) upaya guru PPKn dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran HAM pada peserta didik di kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Kota Ternate. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Gambaran kesadaran HAM pada peserta didik di SMP Negeri 4 Kota Ternate dapat dikatakan belum optimal karena masih terdapat beberapa peserta didik yang melanggar HAM, seperti membully teman sejawat, mengambil barang teman tanpa seizin pemiliknya, dan menyepelekan pendapat teman sendiri karena merasa paling benar. Namun disisi lain sudah ada Sebagian besar peserta didik yang telah menerapkan nilai-nilai HAM dengan baik, seperti menghargai kepemilikan orang lain, menerima perbedaan pendapat dan identitas sosial budaya dengan orang lain, menunjukan sopan santun, bersikap tidak diskriminatif serta menaati aturan sekolah. 2) Upaya guru PPKn dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran HAM kepada peserta didik, diantaranya: a) Pembelajaran PPKn. Guru dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai HAM kepada peserta didik dapat melalui pembelajaran PPKn; b) Pembiasaan (habituasi). Dimana membiasakan peserta didik untuk menghargai dan menghormati HAM orang lain dalam pergaulannya baik didalam kelas maupun diluar kelas; serta c) Keteladanan Guru dan Pimpinan Sekolah. Keteladanan dari guru dan pimpinan sekolah berupa karakter yang baik dalam menerapkan nilai-nilai HAM akan digugu dan ditiru oleh peserta didik.

Abstract

This research is prompted by researchers’ concerns about the nation’s morale which is increasingly declining due to the negative impact of the use of digital technology in the era of disruption, such as smartphone, laptops, smart televisions, tablets, etc. which should be able to help human activities in the aspects of education, communication, advertising, transportation, archiving and entertainment, but instead are misused to behave negatively in cyberspace in the form of fraud, free sex, online immoral acts, hate speech, or drugs. Therefore, the importance of character education is given to the general public, especially for prisoners (Warga Binaan Pemasyarakatan, which further refers as WBP) so that good character is formed. This research aims to describe the pattern of rehabilitation for Women’s Penitentiary Class III in Ternate for inmates based on national character values in the era of disruption. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The results of the research show that: 1) The pattern of prisoners rehabilitation based on national character values in the Women’s Penitentiary Class III in Ternate is carried out in two forms, they are the Personality Rehabilitation Pattern through instilling national character values and the Independence Rehabilitation Pattern through skills and handicraft training, 2) The challenges and obstacles experienced by prisons in forming the character of inmates in the era of disruption are: a) Prison officers’ efforts to create safe and comfortable conditions from various conflicts between inmates due to different backgrounds and personal characters; and b) The availability of digital technology facilities in prisons is still limited to foster independence, such as laptops, internet, assembly, etc.

Abstract

Mosque youth as the nation's successors play an important role in driving change in society through spiritual and social activities. This is what happened to the youth of the An-Nur Waikafa Mosque, South Mongoli, Sula Islands, who were successful in holding activities that directly touched the residents to increase the value of spiritual and social worship, even though they faced various challenges, such as some teenagers who were indifferent, lazy, and more tend to exhibit hedonic relationships. This research is qualitative research with a case study type using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews and documentation studies, while data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, verification and drawing conclusions. The results of this research are: 1) The role of teenagers at the An-Nur Waikafa mosque in developing religious and social character such as: a) holding regular religious studies, b) fostering TPA (al-Qur’an Education Park) for children, and c) initiating the community involved in social service activities; 2) Supporting factors for the role of mosque youth are: a) the high enthusiasm of residents in participating in the success of activities held by mosque youth, and b) habituation to the culture of religious discussion among teenagers which has been established for a long time. The factors inhibiting the role of mosque youth include: a) the lack of enthusiasm among some teenagers to get involved due to the encouragement of a lazy, indifferent attitude and a more hedonistic style, b) lack of support from residents in the form of financial assistance to make the mosque prosperous.

Abstract

The Mandi Safar tradition has been an integral part of the cultural landscape in Baru village, located in the Obi subdistrict of South Halmahera regency. This ritual symbolizes self-purification through immersion in the river, representing a quest for divine protection and the desire to be spared from calamities and misfortunes. Nevertheless, some community members perceive this practice as a bid'ah, or innovation, that contradicts Islamic principles. Despite these differing views, the researcher identifies that the Mandi Safar tradition is valued by many as it significantly strengthens social bonds among villagers.This study aims to provide a comprehensive description of the efforts undertaken by the Baru village community to preserve the Mandi Safar tradition as a means to cultivate social care and solidarity among its citizens. Employing a qualitative research design with a case study approach, the findings reveal that the Mandi Safar tradition is executed in two key stages: (a) the Preparation stage, which entails gathering necessary materials such as paper, pencils, banana leaves, coconut leaves, and food; and (b) the Execution stage, which encompasses the journey to the ritual site, recitation of prayers, communal meals, and the Mandi Safar ritual itself.The Mandi Safar tradition embodies essential social values, including togetherness, affection, and harmony. These values play a crucial role in reinforcing kinship ties within the community and fostering a spirit of social caring among villagers. This study highlights the enduring significance of the Mandi Safar tradition in enhancing communal identity and social cohesion within the Baru village community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didorong oleh keprihatinan peneliti terhadap fenomena perceraian orang tua yang antara lain disebabkan oleh kekerasan dalam rumah tangga (KDRT), persoalan finansial, adanya orang ketiga/perselingkuhan, dsb. Perceraian tidak hanya berdampak kepada orang tua saja, melainkan berdampak buruk juga terhadap kondisi kejiwaan dan pendidikan anak sebagaimana fenomena yang terjadi di Desa Gorua Utara, Kecamatan Tobelo Utara, Kabupaten Halmahera Utara. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperoleh informasi tentang sejauhmana dampak perceraian orang tua terhadap pendidikan anak di Desa Gorua Utara. Adapun penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa: 1) dampak perceraian orang tua terhadap pendidikan anak di Desa Gorua Utara, Kecamatan Tobelo Utara, Kabupaten Halmahera Utara, diantaranya: a) anak mengalami gangguan psikologis dan mental seperti menyalahkan diri sendiri, rasa kehilangan, serta rasa putus asa; dan b) prestasi pendidikan anak menjadi buruk karena hilangnya konsentrasi, motivasi dan semangat belajar. 2) upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk menangani masalah pendidikan anak akibat perceraian orang tua yaitu memberikan dukungan psikososial kepada anak oleh stakeholder seperti Pemerintah Desa, KUA, pihak Sekolah dan Tokoh Masyarakat, mengawasi pergaulan anak korban perceraian, serta memberikan bantuan finasial untuk kelanjutan pendidikan anak.
