Abstract

Digital transformation has fundamentally changed the paradigm of business communication, with social media emerging as a key instrument facilitating the shift from one-way communication to interactive, two-way dialogue. This article aims to analyze the role of social media integration in enhancing customer engagement and strengthening brand image, as well as identifying challenges and drivers in adapting business communication strategies in the digital era. Through a systematic literature review method, this study concludes that social media enables direct, real-time interactions, breaks down geographical boundaries, and serves as a strategic tool for building trust and loyalty. However, its implementation is hampered by ethical challenges such as the risk of misinformation and privacy violations, as well as structural barriers such as rigid organizational hierarchies and incompatible technical systems. On the other hand, changes in consumer behavior, competitive pressures, and external crises are key drivers of the acceleration of digital transformation. The success of social media integration in business communication depends on the synergy between technological capabilities, the development of human digital resource competencies, and an organizational culture that supports innovation and continuous learning.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the digital transformation of business communication through a systematic literature review method. The review aims to identify the key mechanisms and impacts of AI on communication efficiency and information quality, while also analyzing the sociocultural challenges and ethical implications of its adoption. The findings indicate that AI serves as a primary driver in enhancing transparency, reducing information asymmetry, and facilitating closer collaboration among stakeholders through digital platforms, as observed in the financial and professional services sectors. On the other hand, the implementation of AI faces challenges such as organizational cultural resistance, gaps in digital competencies, and risks related to data privacy and security. To address these barriers, the review recommends managerial strategies that emphasize transformational leadership, the development of a culture of experimentation and learning, increased cross-functional collaboration, and a human-centric approach to technology integration. The results of this study provide insights for organizations in designing and implementing AI-based digital transformation in a more effective and responsible manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of cross-cultural communication style dimensions—particularly the differences between high-context and low-context cultures—on the effectiveness of research instrument validation processes in achieving conceptual, semantic, and idiomatic equivalence. In addition, the study identifies key methodological challenges and sources of bias—such as content, method, and construct bias—that emerge in cross-cultural instrument validation, and evaluates mitigation strategies through the involvement of expert committees and translation techniques to ensure measurement invariance. The method employed is a qualitative article review using a descriptive–analytical approach to relevant literature. The analysis results indicate that differences in communication styles significantly affect meaning interpretation and may lead to misinterpretation, thereby hindering the achievement of equivalence. Major challenges include semantic mismatches, difficulties in transferring idiomatic expressions, and response bias. Mitigation strategies such as forward–back translation, the establishment of multidisciplinary expert committees, and the implementation of cognitive debriefing are shown to be crucial in navigating cultural complexity and ensuring measurement equivalence. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of adaptive and contextual approaches in cross-cultural instrument validation.

Abstract

The digital era demands innovative methodological approaches to address the complexity of business communication. This literature study analyzes the integration of Design Thinking (DT) with Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) strategies and the development of inclusive information system evaluation models. The findings indicate that the human-centered synergy of DT and IMC is effective in creating product innovation, differentiation, and sustainable competitive advantage by leveraging digital platforms and analytical data. On the other hand, the development of evaluation models—such as the ICTRT framework—that expand technical perspectives by incorporating sociocultural dimensions, gender literacy, and ethical values proves crucial for strengthening accountability, compliance, and clean governance in digital business interactions. In conclusion, sustainable competitive advantage in the digital age requires a holistic approach that harmonizes human-centered creativity, technical robustness, regulatory compliance, and ethical principles within an integrated framework.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to business communication practices in various organizations. These changes affect how organizations manage information, coordinate work activities, and establish relationships with stakeholders. This article aims to examine the evolution of business communication in the digital era during the period 2015–2023 through a literature study of relevant scientific journal articles and academic books. The literature was analyzed using content analysis to identify patterns and trends in the development of business communication. The results of the study show a shift in business communication from a one-way pattern to more interactive and strategic communication, in line with the increasing use of digital media and online communication platforms. In addition, the post-COVID-19 pandemic conditions accelerated the implementation of remote communication and virtual collaboration, which had an impact on work patterns, organizational culture, and managerial roles. These developments confirm that business communication no longer functions solely as a means of conveying information but has become an important part of decision-making and achieving organizational goals in the digital era.

Abstract

Effective business communication skills constitute critical capital for the success of organizations and individuals in the global marketplace. This article review aims to analyze the effectiveness of pedagogical approaches and psychological factors in developing such competencies. Specifically, the study addresses two research questions: (1) the effectiveness of integrating active learning strategies (Problem-Based Learning and Experiential Learning) and multimedia technology in enhancing students’ business communication competence, and (2) the role of communicative self-efficacy and knowledge transfer capability in supporting successful negotiation and the development of professional relationships. Using a systematic review method that includes identification, selection, extraction, thematic analysis, and synthesis of selected articles, this review concludes that technology-based active learning approaches significantly bridge the theory–practice gap by facilitating the creation of contextual knowledge (Mode 2). Furthermore, the synergy between high self-efficacy and boundary-spanning capacity in knowledge transfer is shown to be a key determinant of communication effectiveness in complex negotiations and workplace relationships. The implications suggest that the holistic development of business communication competence requires the integration of technology-enhanced pedagogical innovation and the strengthening of individual psychological factors.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of a comprehensive Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance framework and its transformative impacts across the banking, healthcare, and judicial sectors. The article review was conducted using data extraction methods, sectoral analysis, and integrative synthesis of selected literature. The findings indicate that effective AI governance requires a structured approach across data, model, and system dimensions to ensure cybersecurity. Its implementation varies across sectors: in banking, it focuses on real-time fraud detection; in healthcare, it emphasizes data privacy through federated learning techniques; and in the judicial sector, AI functions as decision-support for judges under strong human oversight. The operational impacts of AI are reflected in increased efficiency and predictive analytics, while the social impacts include the potential for algorithmic bias and erosion of trust. Human–machine collaboration (human-in-the-loop) is proven to be a critical success factor in maintaining academic integrity, building customer trust, and ensuring substantive justice, by positioning humans as the final decision-makers in ethical and contextual considerations.

Abstract

Digital communication strategies have become a crucial pillar in the modern business context, providing a framework for organizations to manage their image, interactions, and relationships with stakeholders. This article aims to analyze two critical aspects of these strategies: first, the effectiveness of digital leadership framing strategies employed by corporate leaders on social media compared to traditional media; and second, the role of virtual agent (chatbot) personalization strategies through the provision of avatar choices and anthropomorphic design in mitigating the uncanny valley effect (the feeling of discomfort toward imperfect human likeness) in the e-commerce context. The study was conducted using a systematic method comprising a preparation phase, article searches from academic databases, data analysis using separate matrices, and thematic synthesis. The findings reveal that on social media, leaders tend to adopt higher levels of analytical thinking and a more positive tone to build closeness and avoid reputational risks, in contrast to the more formal approach observed in traditional media. Meanwhile, chatbot personalization through avatar selection has been shown to foster consumers’ psychological ownership, effectively reducing uncanny valley sensations, enhancing trust, and ultimately promoting loyalty and purchase intention. These findings imply that adapting communication strategies to the characteristics of the medium and empowering users through personalization are key to success in today’s digital business landscape.

Abstract

Business communication courses play a critical role in preparing business school graduates for the demands of global communication. This study aims to analyze the comparison between the integration of research-based best practices and administrative procedural guidelines in the design of Business Communication course curricula, as well as to evaluate the contribution of integrating intercultural awareness and self-efficacy in meeting international business communication skill requirements from the employer’s perspective. The study was conducted through a systematic review of academic literature using thematic analysis methods. The findings reveal that evidence-based approaches, such as the implementation of Constructive Alignment and student engagement as co-creators, produce more transformative curricula that focus on the development of authentic competencies, compared to administrative approaches that tend to be limited to procedural compliance. Furthermore, the integration of intercultural awareness that fosters transcultural understanding, together with the development of self-efficacy through techniques such as personal mastery, synergistically equips students with a global mindset and confidence that align directly with employers’ expectations of graduates capable of communicating effectively in international business contexts. Consequently, evidence-based and holistic curriculum design is key to bridging the gap between education and professional practice.
