Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning outcomes before and after the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and to determaine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the cognitive learning outcomes of fifth grade science at SDN Candinegoro. The research method used is quantitative with the type of pre-experimental research and the design uses a one-grup pretest posttest design. The population of this study were all 32 grade students of SDN Candinegoro. The sample was taken using saturated sampling. Data collection techniques used in the form of tests and research instruments in the form of pretest and posttest sheets. The results showed that (1) learning outcomes before the application of the PBL model obtained an average of 39 with low achievement categories, learning outcomes after the application of PBL obtained an average of 81 with very high categories, (2) The results of the N-Gain calculation before an after the application of the model show a moderate effect, then the percentage classically the acquisition of N-Gain of 0,71% gets the medium category.

Abstract

This study investigates the attitudes towards STEM among junior high school students at Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo in Indonesia, focusing on exploring the degree of attitude towards STEM and examining the relationship between STEM dimensions. Using a survey method with 85 students from a population of 326, the research found that students' attitudes were most pronounced in the integrated STEM dimension, followed by engineering, technology, science, and mathematics. However, correlations between certain STEM dimensions and STEM itself were inconsistent, highlighting nuances in students' perceptions. These findings contribute to enhancing STEM education strategies, particularly in schools with integrated STEM-based learning, and suggest avenues for further research in broader educational contexts. Abstract

This study investigates junior high school students' attitudes towards science and their misconceptions regarding temperature changes, aiming to understand the relationship between these two factors. Conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Krian with 93 seventh-grade students, the research utilizes non-experimental quantitative methods, including questionnaires and statistical analyses. Findings reveal that while students exhibit generally positive attitudes towards scientific investigation, misconceptions about temperature changes are low. However, the correlation between students' attitudes towards science and their misconceptions is observed to be low. These results underscore the importance of addressing both attitudes and misconceptions in science education to optimize learning outcomes.Highlight: Investigates student attitudes and misconceptions about temperature changes in science. Abstract

This study explores students' attitudes towards STEM and the relationship between STEM dimensions in Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo Junior High School, which implements STEM-based science learning. Through a survey of 85 students, it was found that students' attitudes were most dominant in the integrated STEM dimension and lowest in mathematics. However, the correlation between STEM dimensions varied, with technology and engineering showing no correlation with mathematics. These findings suggest that educators can leverage students' positive attitudes towards integrated STEM activities to improve engagement and learning outcomes. Furthermore, understanding the lack of correlation between certain STEM dimensions can inform curriculum adjustments for more effective integration of these disciplines in junior high school education. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PjBL terhadap hasil Belajar psikomotor siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA. Pendekatan ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitiannya yaitu Pre-Experimental Design. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan One Shot Case Study. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV di SDN Gempol 1 Pasuruan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penerapan model PjBL terhadap hasil belajar psikomotor siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi mengubah bentuk energi. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari rata-rata nilai presentase siswa setelah diberi perlakuan adalah 86,3%, nilai ini termasuk kategori yang dinyatakan sudah mencapai ketuntasan dalam hasil belajar psikomotor yaitu 66-88% (baik). Hasil uji analisis data menggunakan one sample t test dengan taraf signifikan 5% (derajat kepercayaan 95%) diperoleh nilai t hitung> t tabel, yaitu 9,111 > 2,045 yang berarti Ha diterima sedangkan H0 ditolak. Dalam penelitian ini siswa sangat bersemangat dan aklif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran menggunakan model PjBL baik secara berkelompok maupun individu, penelitian ini dapat meningkatkan kreativitas serta menjadikan pengalaman yang bermakna bagi siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA di Tingkat IV Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif pre-experimental dengan desain one-group pretest posttest. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN Kenongo 1 yang berjumlah 80 siswa. Sampel diambil sebanyak 23 siswa dari kelas IV-A dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling dari semua kelas IV. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan tes. Dimana tes ini dilakukan sebelum diberikan perlakuan berupa model Quantum Teaching berbantuan Media Audio Visual (pretest) dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan dengan model Quantum Teaching berbantuan Media Audio Visual (posttest). Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 butir. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penerapan model Quantum Teaching dengan berbantuan Media Audio Visual terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada mata Pelajaran IPA materi Transformasi Energi disekitar Kita. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari rata-rata nilai presentase siswa setelah diberikan perlakuan adalah 85, nilai ini termasuk kategori yang dinyatakan sudah mencapai ketuntasan dalam hasil belajar kognitif IPA karena acuan KKM yang digunakan pada mata pelajaran IPA di SDN Kenongo 1 sebesar 75. Hasil uji analisis data menggunakan t-test berpasangan yang menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,001 atau nilai signifikansi < Tingkat signifikansi yang digunakan 0,05. Diperoleh hasil thitung 26,990 > ttabel 2,045 yang dimaksud bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dalam penelitian ini siswa sangat bersemangat dan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Quantum Teaching dengan berbantuan Media Audio Visual baik secara berkelompok maupun individu, penelitian ini dapat menjadikan pengalaman yang bermakna bagi setiap siswa.

Abstract

The STEM is an approach that seemly considered will be useful in online learning, because it can facilitate students to learn some  skills from about 21st century.  This study was aimed to develop module-based STEM in improving scientific literacy skills in distance learning through e learning. Because this research developed module-based STEM, this study was named developmental research. The research procedure follows the stages of the R & D method developed by Barg and Gall which includes the studies of preliminary, product planning, development, validation (validation by experts), and  revision, lastly field testing. Moduls that have been declared valid by experts are field tested using one group pretest-posttest design in an experimental class. The results show that the feasibility of module-based STEM in distance learning model to increase students' skills within scientific literacy was valid with the average score of 4.28 by two experts. In addition, the application of integrated STEM teaching materials through e-learning has a moderate effect on students' scientific literacy skills since the N-gain score was 0.6.

Abstract

The complexity of science topics makes it difficult for students to understand all science concepts correctly. Mobile devices can help students to be more focused and efficient in learning. The study aimed to develop the android - based mobile application about the earth layer and include its natural disaster concept. The development model used was the 4D Model. This research produces a product in the form of Earth Panel Cellular Application. The expert validation average score of 3.38, which is in the excellent category, shows that the earth layer application is suitable for usage. The application's effectiveness can be quite effective in enhancing students’ cognitive learning outcomes based on the gained sig. The significance of application is said to be quite effective in improving cognitive learning outcomes with a value of 0.000 less than 0.05

Abstract

Research has been carried out at the Masyithoh Ngoro elementary school on the effect of the Science Process Skills Approach on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at the Masyithoh Ngoro elementary school. This thesis aims to determine the effect of the Science Process Skills Approach on student learning outcomes. This type of research includes a pre-experimental design with one group pretest and posttest design. The population in this study were all fourth-grade students at SD Masyithoh Ngoro. The results of this study indicate that the data on student learning outcomes after participating in learning with the Science Process Skills Approach is higher than the student learning outcomes before the Science Process Skills Approach is applied. This shows that there is an influence of the science process skills approach on learning outcomes. Evidenced by the results of the t test of 10,490 with a significance value of 5%. So, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Science Process Skills Approach because t count is greater than t table, namely 10.490 > 2.045, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. From these data it shows that there is an influence of the science process skills approach on learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan miskonsepsi siswa serta ada tidaknya pengaruh dari penerapan model PBL dalam mereduksi miskonsepsi siswa pada pembelajaran IPA di tingkat IV SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif pre-experimental dengan desain one-group pretest posttest. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN Kenongo 1 yang berjumlah 91 siswa. Sampel diambil sebanyak 23 siswa dari kelas IV-B dengan menggunakan Teknik random sampling dari semua kelas IV. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan tes. Dimana tes ini dilakukan sebelum diberikan perlakuan model PBL (pretest) dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan dengan model PBL (posttest). Instrument yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tes diagnostic two-tier yang terdiri dari 15 soal. Analisis yang digunakan menggunakan rumus N-Gain. Siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi dengan rata-rata nilai pretest dan posttest yakni 41,3 dan 30,4 dengan skor N-Gain 0,15 yang dikategorikan rendah. Kemudian nilai siswa yang paham konsep dengan rata-rata nilai pretest dan posttest yakni 33,56 dan 56,47 dengan skor N-Gain 0,34 yang dikategorikan sedang. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model PBL berpengaruh dalam mereduksi miskonsepsi siswa pada pembelajaran IPA kelas IV SD.
