Abstract

This research discusses testing a web-based inventory system developed using the Laravel framework at SMKN 7 Tangerang Regency in the Hospitality Teaching Factory, with a focus on the BlackBox testing method. This research aims to test the functionality of the system without paying attention to the internal structure of the code, but from the perspective of the end user. The testing methodology includes functional testing to ensure all features work as expected. The test results show that this system can be relied on for use in the Teaching Factory environment of the Hospitality Department, with good performance. This study provides valuable insights for developers and related parties in improving the implementation of information technology in educational institutions.

Abstract

Software that contains defects (errors) can cause harm. Losses caused can affect all stakeholders. Losses can take the form of financial, time, and others. So before the software is implemented it needs to be tested. Testing on an application aims to check whether a program is running properly or not. In testing this software will use Blackbox Testing. Black Box Testing Method consists of several techniques, including Equivalence Partitions, Boundary Value Analysis, Sample Testing, and so on. Among the many testing techniques, in this study the testing technique was chosen using Equivalence Partitions. Equivalence Partitions technique is a test based on data input on each form in the performance data application application system, each menu input will be tested and grouped according to function whether it is valid or invalid. Testing is done on 4 forms that will be filled with data form added jobdesk, form added work targets, form edit work targets, form approve work targets, and employee performance while in the company. The test results show that there are still many shortcomings when validating the data to be entered, so that it can cause the data stored in the database does not match the expected data. The results of this test can be used as input to improve the application of performance data for the future

Abstract

The learning outcome is an evaluation of students' understanding of the material throughout one semester. Teachers often face challenges in manually filling in report card grades at Darmawati Arief Private Elementary School. Therefore, a report card application is needed to expedite the process and minimize errors in grade processing. This research utilizes the Research and Development (R&D) method with Java and PHP programming languages and MySQL database. This E-Report application allows 5 users (admin, principal, homeroom teacher, subject teacher, student guardian) to access and monitor students' grades flexibly.

Abstract

Management and control in the field of pharmaceutical distribution requires planning and inventory control of pharmaceutical products, because the previous system had inaccurate stock management, the performance of the previous system was slow, and it was not structured to handle large amounts of data. Therefore this research was conducted to test the inventory information system at pharmaceutical distributor companies using the black box testing method. This method was chosen because it focuses on testing system functionality without regard to the internal structure or implementation details. The results of the study show that the black box testing method is effective in testing inventory information at pharmaceutical distributor companies. This test reveals several malfunctions and input errors that may occur in system usage. By using this method, companies can identify and fix these problems before the system is fully implemented.

Abstract

The lack of a computerized administrative data management system at TPA and TPQ AN-NUR made administrative staff unable to do their job optimally, all students paid their dues and still used books, the researchers found during the research process. The objectives of this research include building work systems, developing information systems, testing and analyzing systems, and implementing more efficient administrative management. A grounded approach (also known as grounded research) is used in this study. With the intention of applying empiricism, constructing concepts, developing theories, and proving hypotheses, this method is based on facts and comparative analysis. Researchers can make it easier for administrative staff after conducting a study and planning of this system at TPA and TPQ AN-NUR. In addition, because everything is done via mobile phones or other devices, it's easier to monitor administration management. No need to pay bills manually with dues books.

Abstract

One of the main problems that can arise in web-based inventory applications is the problem of application development, because if the system is inadequate or not protected properly, important data such as stock information, transactions, and customer details can be vulnerable to hacker attacks or data theft. To overcome problems that may arise in web-based inventory applications by conducting regular monitoring of the stock application system. Ensure monitoring includes system availability, performance, and data integrity. Also, back up data regularly to avoid losing important information due to hardware failure or hacker attacks. Make sure data backups are stored in a safe place and can be accessed if needed. The application of this method to the problem of web-based inventory applications can provide several positive results, including stock management efficiency: By using the right method, the application of stock items can help improve stock management efficiency. Methods such as the Just-in-Time (JIT) or EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) methods can help companies to manage purchasing and shipping goods more efficiently, avoiding overstock or stock shortages that can hinder operations.

Abstract

Functional testing is an important stage in aplikasi development cycle aimed at ensuring that the application works correctly and meets the specifications. However, manual functional testing can be a tiring task and prone to human errors. Therefore, this research attempts to improve aplikasi quality by using Robot Framework as an automated functional testing tool. Robot Framework is an open-source automated testing framework that can be used to test desktop and web applications easily. The research method used is an experiment comparing the results of manual and automated functional testing on the same application. The results show that automated functional testing with Robot Framework can reduce the time required for testing, improve testing efficiency, and produce more accurate testing reports. Therefore, the use of Robot Framework as a functional testing tool can improve aplikasi quality by reducing human errors and improving testing efficiency.

Abstract

Web-based, desktop or mobile applications before being used to the general public or certain companies must pass testing on the software. There are two methods in testing that we usually know, namely Black Box Testing and White Box Testing. For this time the testing method we chose was Black Box Testing with the Equivalence Partitions Technique which aims to test whether there are errors in: system functions, interfaces, data structures or data access, performance, initialization. The object carried out in this test is the Website-Based FTTH Material Forecasting application. The methods and techniques chosen in this test are techniques that are easy to do for novice testers. There are 4 forms tested, namely user and admin login forms, product forms, category forms, project forms. Each form will be tested by entering input data that is commonly found in existing tests. The results showed that software testing using the Black Box Testing method with the Equivalence Partitions Technique in the application there are still forms whose results or outputs do not match what is expected in the design of the application because an error occurs. The results of the calculation of system validity obtained a value of 100%.

Abstract

Management of salaries and wages of employees is important in the management of human data sources in the company. In the digital era, the use of technology can help simplify and speed up the payroll process. Therefore, this study aims to develop a web-based employee payroll application that helps in managing employee salaries and wages more efficiently and effectively. This web-based employee payroll application features employee data management, employee salary and wage data management, and payroll reports. This application is built using web technology so that it can be accessed through a web browser without the need to install additional software. Waterfall software development method and PHP programming language and MySQL database are used in the development process of this application. Testing and validation of the application is done by the method of black box testing and user acceptance testing. The results of this study show that the developed web-based employee payroll application can help companies in managing employee payroll more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

The high mobility of society and changing lifestyles have driven the adoption of online transactions in the world of commerce. In this context, mobile commerce applications have become a solution to provide various products, including fruits, vegetables, and other kitchen necessities, with easy search and payment processes. The development of such applications can be managed using the Scrum framework and visualization tools such as UML (Use Case and Activity Diagram) to improve efficiency and structure. Thus, mobile commerce applications offer a practical solution for people to fulfill their daily needs through digital platforms.
