Abstract

The performance and competence of a teacher has been an important point to discuss due to the fact that it can be a legal aspect in designing and developing performance and competence of teachers. Performance is the extent to which a teacher has achieved in terms of working responsibility, in other word, a teacher’s working achievement. Hence, teachers with high performance are those who master teaching material and the method of teaching. Teacher’s performance can be assessed by three indicators: the mastery of teaching material, teaching management, and working commitment. While the teacher’s competences based on the Constitution number 14/2005 are pedagogic competence, personal, social and professional competence.

Abstract

This paper theoretically deals some aspects related to Differential Item Functioning (DIF), consisting of Test and Test Bias. The purpose of this is to describe the importance of understanding Different Item Functioning or to discuss its existence. Based on the theoretical connotation of DIF, it can be inferred that DIF may be used to make sure whether or not a bias item of a test exists. For example, a test item shows the existence of DIF when the tested from different group having the same ability do not have the same opportunity to answer the item correctly. Therefore, understanding the DIF, a teacher may avoid item bias on a test to exist.

Abstract

This research aims at identifying the effect of formative assessment type towards the learning achievement of Natural Sciences. This study applied 2 x 2 factorial design experimental methods. The population of the research was all the fift grade students of elementary school number 03 and 05 of Rawamangun Eastern Jakarta, with 80 students as sample, implementing inferential statistic assessment with ANCOVA. The result of the study showed that (1) having controlled the students' prior knowledge, the learning achievement of Natural Sciences of the group, which was given essay test formative assessment was different from the achievement of those with multiple choice test, (2) having controlled the students' prior knowledge, the learning achievement of Natural Sciences of the group which was given essay test formative assessment was higher than the group in multiple choice test.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas tentang kompetensi guru aqidah akhlak di MAN 2 Model Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian lapangan (field research). Sifat penelitihan ini adalah kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MAN 2 Model Makassar. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa di MAN 2 Model Makassar yaitu sebanyak 1150 orang. Dalam penelitian ini penulis mengambil 10% dari jumlah populasi yang ada yaitu sebanyak 120 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang penulis gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket atau kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Dalam melakukan analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi guru aqidah akhlak di MAN 2 Model Makassar tergolong baik yaitu sebanyak 57 orang atau 47,5% responden menyatakan sangat baik, 59 orang atau 49,17% responden menyatakan baik, 4 orang atau 3,33 % menyatakan kurang baik dan tidak satu pun responden menyatakan tidak baik.

Abstract

This study discusses the influence of the work environment on the work motivation of Muhammadiyah high school teachers in Makassar City with the aim of examining the reality of the Muhammadiyah high school work environment in Makassar City, examining the reality of work motivation of Muhammadiyah high school teachers in Makassar City and examining the effect of the work environment on motivation. Muhammadiyah high school teacher work in Makassar City. This research is classified as quantitative research with ex post facto method. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire while the analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with simple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate the reality of the working environment of Muhammadiyah high school in Makassar City from the results of data analysis the percentage of 77,4% of the expected criteria, the reality of work motivation of Muhammadiyah high school teachers in Makassar City from the results of percentage data analysis of 76,6%, and there is an influence positive and significant relationship between work environment and work motivation of Muhammadiyah high school teachers in Makassar City is 49,3 %. So it can be concluded that the work environment is one of the factors that influence the work motivation of teachers. The implication of this research is that the school should be able to create a conducive work environment by fulfilling all the learning facilities and infrastructure needed by teachers in learning activities and in supporting the work of teachers so that each teacher can concentrate on carrying out their duties.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and test the effect of the application of inquiry and discovery models on the learning outcomes of Islamic Cultural History in MTs. As'adiyah Putri 2 Sengkang. This type of research is an ex-post facto research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were students in MTs As'adiyah Putri 2 Sengkang. Sampling was done by random sampling of 66 students. The results of the study found the effect of applying the inquiry model of 21.4% and discoveri of 5.1% on the SKI learning outcomes. The effect of inquiry and discovery models on student learning outcomes in Islamic Cultural History subjects at MTs. As'adiyah Putri 2 Sengkang by 21.5%. while the remaining 78.5 percent is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and examine the influence of learning management and learning motivation to learning outcomes of students in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Falah Borongganjeng, Bulukumba Regency. This research is classified as quantitative research with the ex post facto method. Respondents in this study as many as 38 learners taken randomly from 127 students. The data collection techniques used are polls and documentation, whereas the analytical techniques used to examine hypotheses are inferential statistics through regression analysis. The results of this study show that partially, the management of learning has a positive and significant impact on student’s learning outcomes of 10.8% and 89.2% is determined by other factors, as well as the motivation to learn positive influences and of student learning outcomes of 14.2% and 85.8% is determined by other factors. However, the learning management and learning motivation jointly positively affects the student's learning outcomes of 14.9%, but not significant.

Abstract

This article discusses the internalization of character formation in the learning process at SMP Negeri 37 Bulukumba. The approach used is qualitative which is reviewed based on a phenomenological. The informant in this article is the head of Madrasah and teacher of Islamic religious education. The data collection techniques used are observations and interviews. Processing techniques and data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and verification or withdrawal of conclusions. This article shows that the implementation of character education in students at SMP Negeri 37 Bulukumba is implemented by prioritizing the creation of 8 characters, namely responsible, love of homeland, social care, tolerance, discipline, Independent, democratic, and avid reading. The character education implementation is integrated with all subjects, especially the subjects of Islamic religious education conducted in the form of intrurricular and extracurricular, both in learning and beyond learning. The strategies pursued by teachers of Islamic education in the establishment of students' character at SMP Negeri 37 Bulukumba is done through the development of students and the improvement of the religious knowledge of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan indikator-indikator pencapaian pendidikan ramah anak yang diterapkan lembaga pendidikan anak usia dini di Kecamatan Majauleng Kabupaten Wajo. Tulisan ini dihasilkan melalui penelitian lapangan (Field Reaserch) metode Kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data berasal dari lingkungan dan bangunan sekolah TK Negeri Pembina dan TK PGRI Totengriajarangi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan dokumentasi dengan teknik analisis data melalui tiga tahap yaitu tahap reduksi data, data display, dan tahap penarikan kesimpulan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan 4 komponen pendidikan ramah anak sekolah TK Negeri Pembina telah menerapkan yaitu: 1) komponen Kebijakan sekolah menerapkan 7 indikator; 2) Pelaksanaan kurikulum menerapkan 7 indikator; 3) Pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan terlatih hak anak dengan 2 indikator tercapai dari 7 indikator; 4) Komponen sarana prasarana memenuhi 13 dari 16 indikator. Sekolah TK PGRI Totengriajarangi telah menerapkan 4 komponen yaitu: 1) Komponen kebijakan sekolah menerapkan 2 dari 7 indikator; 2) komponen pelaksanaan kurikulum menerapkan 7 indikator; 3) Pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan terlatih hak anak menerapkan 1 dari 7 indikator; 4) Komponen sarana prasarana menerapkan 13 dari 16 indikator. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan pendidikan yang berkualitas bagi peserta didik serta mewujudkan lingkungan yang mendukung peserta didik untuk menumbuh kembangkan potensi yang ada dalam diri peserta didik.

Abstract

As advances and developments in technology and learning media demand the importance of using ICT-based teaching materials, so does the establishment of printed teaching materials. Generally, these teaching materials have been used in various subjects including Aqidah Akhlak subjects at MAN 1 Sinjai. Therefore, the aim of the study was to determine the significant effect between the use of ICT-based teaching materials and printed materials on learning motivation. This research is an ex post facto quantitative approach. The population in this study was class XI students at MAN 1 Sinjai in 2019/2020 consisting of 9 groups with a total number of 238 students. From the total population, to determine the sample used the Equalsize Cluster Random Sampling technique, the number of samples obtained consisted of class XI religion 24 people, XI MIPA 3 as many as 32 people, and XI IPS 4 totaling 28 so that the sample obtained was 84 people. The method of collecting data is through questionnaires. Data analysis is through inferential statistical analysis using multiple regression. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect between the use of ICT-based teaching materials and printed teaching materials together on learning motivation at MAN 1 Sinjai with a percentage of 31.8%.
