Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di SD N 004 Sagulung Kota Batam yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan tentang dasar-dasar bahasa inggris untuk dapat diaplikasikan dalam berkomunikasi sehari-hari secara sederhana dan berterima.Peserta pelatihan ini terdiri dari 29 peserta.Pelatihan ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dengan memberikan dua kali test, yaitu test periode pertama dan test periode kedua. Hasil test periode pertama menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-ratanya adalah sebesar 40. Sedangkan hasil test pada periode kedua adalah sebesar 79. Bisa disimpulkan bahwa ada peningkatan antara hasil test periode pertama dengan test periode kedua sebesar 39 %.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of video dubbing project and to find out the enhancement of the students’ speaking skill after the implementation of video dubbing project in teaching speaking of fourth semester students UNRIKA in academic year 2018-2019. Action research procedures (including planning, action, observation, reflection) were used to study the progress and subject outcomes. The study was conducted in two cycles which was held from February to July 2019. The researcher was assisted by another lecturer to observe and assist the implementation of video dubbing project. Data were collected through observer sheet and test. Data obtained from cycle 1 were analysed and used for revision and improvement in cycle 2. Then, data obtained from cycle 2 were presented as the outcomes of the project. The test result revealed that students speaking skill was improved. The improvement was particularly seen in pronunciation. The mean score of the students in pre-test was 67.02. After the implementation of the project on cycle 1, the students mean score was 83.63 and on cycle 2 was 90.61. During the implementation, students were motivated, enthusiastic, active, and eager to work together and show positive attitude towards the language learning. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur pengaruh pelatihan online dalam meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa calon guru dalam mengajar secara online. Penelitian ini di lakukan di Universitas Riau Kepulauan Kota Batam tahun akademik 2021-2022. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan program studi pendidikan Bahasa Inggris sebanyak 16 mahasiswa. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian ini, peneliti menerapkan mix method dengan pendekatan sequential exploratory). Penelitian ini terdiri dari penelitian kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi dokumentasi, wawancara, dan tes untuk penelitian kuantitatif. Proses pengelohan data kualitatif dilakukans dengan data collecting, data reduction, data interpretation dan conclusion. Sedangkan data kuantitatif dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik SPSS. Temuan penelitian kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi mahasiswa calon guru dalam mengajar secara online sangat rendah baik dala menyusun rencana pembelajaran maupun kemampuan mengajar secara online sebelum mengikuti pelatihan online. Temuan kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan secara online berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kompetensi mahasiswa dimana nilai signifikan penyusunan rencana pembelajaran (2-tailed) adalah 0,00 0,5 dan nilai kemampuan mengajar secara online (2-tailde) adalah 0,00 0,05. Dengan demikian, pelatihan secara online dapat meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa calon guru dalam mengajar secara online pada program studi pendidikan bahasa Inggris di Universitas Riau Kepulauan Indonesia.

Abstract

Studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen implementsi program Link and Match di SMK Negeri 1 Batam. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian, metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus diterapkan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara mendalam. Sumber informasi penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, 4 wakil kepala sekolah, 3 kepala unit kerja, 5 alumni, dan 3 pakar dari industri. Validasi data penelitian adalah tri angulasi. Teknik analisis data terdiri dari pengumpulan data, penyajian data, kondensasi data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian menujukkan: (1) perencanaan dirancang dengan mengkaji peraturan pemerintah tentang pelaksanaan program Link and Match. (2) Pengorganisasian ditentukan kepala sekolah dengan membentuk tim kerja yang profesional. (3) Implementasi dilakukan dengan menjalin kerjasama dengan industri, mengoptimalkan bursa kerja khusus (BKK), dan menyediakan kelas industri. (4) Pengendalian dilakukan oleh supervisi kepala sekolah (5) Faktor pendukung lainnya: Pertama, ketersediaan program pemagangan guru. Kedua, memberikan sertifikat uji kompetensi kepada seluruh siswa. Ketiga, standarisasi prosedur kerja sesuai dengan standar industri. Dan kelima, memberikan program benchmarking dan mengunjungi SMK di berbagai Negarai.

Abstract

A suitably learning model greatly reassurances the learning efficacy, learning endings and students’ competence in dealing with uncertainty changes in the future. This study drives to legitimize strongly that the collaborative learning model is a suitably model which urgently to be set-off to advance students' competence in fronting the society 5.0 era in Indonesia. To achieve the research ambitions, a qualitative method which systematic literature review design was orchestrated. Research data was poised by collecting 20 previous research judgement from the internet approximately the results of collaborative learning model implementation. Data analysis performance consist of data collection, data presentation, data condensation, and drawing conclusions. The analysis fallouts: 1) Collaborative learning is a learning model which has been empirically proven to be appropriate for Indonesian English teachers to apply in society 5.0 era. 2) The application of collaborative learning model has been empirically proven to be able to increase the competencies needed in society 5.0 era, namely English communication skills, critical thinking, collaborating, and solving problems skills. Afterwards, collaborative learning model must be become skilled theoretically and practically by Indonesian English teachers to produce the excellence graduates to fronting the vagueness in society 5.0 era

Abstract

The link and match program is implemented to increase the absorption of vocational school graduates into the world of industry and work. This research describes the implementation management of the link and match program at SMK Negeri Satu Batam. A qualitative research method with a case study approach was applied to achieve the research objectives. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, documentation,, and in-depth interviews. The sources of information for this research were the principal, four deputy principals, three work unit heads, five alumni, and three experts from industry. Validation of research data is triangulation. Data analysis techniques consist of data collection, presentation, condensation, and concluding. Research findings show: (a) Planning was designed by reviewing government regulations regarding the implementation of the link and match program; (b) The school principal determines organization by forming a professional work team; (c) Implementation is carried out by collaborating with industry, optimizing particular job markets (BKK), and providing industrial classes; (d) The supervision of the school principal carries out control and; (e) The integration function consists of teacher apprenticeship programs, competency test certificates, standard work procedures according to industry standards, benchmarking programs, and visits to secondary schools abroad. Furthermore, the integration function as a novelty in this research is a factor in the success of implementing the link and match program which other vocational schools in Indonesia can adopt.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar merupakan kurikulum yang fleksibel untuk diterapkan sekolah yang berfokus pada materi pelajaran yang esensial untuk mendorong percepatan penguatan karakter dan peningkatan kompetensi siswa sesuai Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Atas dasar eksplanasi ini, maka seluruh satuan pendidikan diwajibkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan Indonesia untuk menerapkan kurikulum merdeka secara serentak pada tahun ajaran 2024-2025 baik di sekolah negeri maupun di sekolah swasta. Melalui observasi di Kota Batam, banyak sekolah yang belum siap untuk menerapkan kurikulum merdeka, khususnya sekolah-sekolah swasta. Kegiatan PKM ini dilakukan secara hybrid di Sekolah Globe National Plus Batam dengan tujuan utama untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan secara intens kepada guru-guru yang mengajar di sekolah swasta untuk menyusun modul ajar sebagai dokumen inti yang harus disiapkan dalam menerapkan kurikulum merdeka. Pelatihan menyusun modul ajar ini dilakukan pada semester genap pada tahun ajaran 2023-2024 sebanyak 8 kali pertemuan yang melibatkan 80 guru mata pelajaran. Hasil evaluasi pelatihan ini menunjukkan: 1) Pelatihan menyusun modul ajar kurikulum merdeka berjalan dengan efektif, efisien, dan praktis. 2) Guru-guru mampu memahami struktur modul ajar dan mampu menyusun modul ajar kurikulum merdeka sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan. Pelatihan ini mendorong Sekolah Globe National Plus Batam siap menerapkan kurikulum merdeka belajar untuk menghasilkan lulusan Profil Pelajar Pancasila.

Abstract

More than ever, teachers play a larger and more significant role in society. This change in perspective has recognized pre-service teachers enrolled in teacher preparation programs as having the capacity to assume leadership roles. Despite the fact that many researchers have conducted research on pre-service teachers’ leadership, limited numbers of scholars have attempted to gather and conduct a systematic literature review on the same topic. This article seeks to address the aforementioned issues by compiling a comprehensive literature review of earlier research on pre-service teacher leadership published in English-based journals from 2020 to 2023. Through a theoretical discussion, the study synthesis aimed to uncover emerging research agendas for future research and to generate fresh perspectives on pre-service teacher leadership. The PRISMA writing standard has been used to guide this SLR's composition. Two primary databases, Web of Science and Scopus, were utilized to locate articles and relevant materials for this systematic literature review. A total of 22 articles were selected from the original 733 articles identified. Based on the content analysis done, this SLR has identified five main themes, which are "Teacher Development and Conceptions", "Curriculum Leadership and Teacher Education", "Women in Education and Leadership", "Leadership Styles and Teacher Impact", and "Mentoring and Professional Development". The findings underscore the evolving nature of teacher education, emphasizing the imperative for programs to prepare pre-service teachers to meet the ever-changing demands of contemporary classrooms and contribute meaningfully to national and societal goals. The study's implications can guide pre-service teachers to prepare more comprehensive planning and implement leadership in future education.

Abstract

Teachers are the educational component that has the most strategic role in carrying out the educational process and achieving educational goals, both nationally and institutionally. In order to achieve the fundamental explanation mentioned above, teachers are advised to optimize their organizational culture, create a comfortable work environment, and provide motivation and discipline. This study aimed to assess the influence of organizational culture, work environment, work motivation, and work discipline on the performance of school principals. A Likert scale questionnaire was administered to 41 teachers from Batam City. The results showed that: (1) organizational culture had a partially significant effect on performance, with a Sig value of 0.346 greater than 0.05; (2) work environment had a partially significant effect, with a Sig value of 0.042 less than 0.05; (3) work motivation had a partially significant effect, with a Sig value of 0.691 greater than 0.05; (4) work discipline had a partially significant effect, with a Sig value of 0.280 greater than 0.05; (5) the independent variables significantly impacted the dependent variable, with a Sig value of 0.000 less than 0.05; (6) the independent variables explained 36.1% of the dependent variable's variance, while the remaining 63.9% was influenced by other factors, with an adjusted R Square value of 0.361 or 36.1%. Consequently, it can be concluded that all variables played a significant role in affecting the performance of vocational teachers. The results of this research provide good input to policymakers to optimize work culture and develop training models to increase motivation for teachers to set their main tasks to achieve national education goals, especially in the city of Batam.
