Abstract

The strong column-weak beam is a design concept that needs to be implemented and considered in the planning of building structures (high-rise and low-rise buildings). Generally, structural failure occurs at beam-column joints. Such failure occurred due to the lack of attention to good and correct design concepts. The detailing of reinforcement for columns, beams, and beam-column connections has not yet fully implemented the SNI-2847-2019 standard which results in the reinforcement cannot withstand the combination of tensile, compressive, and shear forces that occur during an earthquake. In addition, the incomplete design of strong column-weak beam in building planning causes the building to fail in the column structure when receiving axial forces. The purpose of this study was to analyze the structural damage and the disaster management system applied during the earthquake in Palu. The research is carried out by investigation/survey methods on the study area as well as checking and recording the data about damage condition of buildings and conducting a hammer test (non-destructive test) to get the strength value of the concrete. Testing result showed the compressive strength value of the f’c concrete used is 20 to 48 MPa. In addition, the details of stirrups reinforcement are also not fully understood about their function on beams and columns, which results in the installation of stirrup reinforcement does not meet the criteria for bending angles of 90˚, 135˚, 180˚ and the addition of tensile and compressive reinforcement lengths. The high potential for earthquake hazard causes Palu and its surroundings tend to have an earthquake risk. For this reason, it is necessary to implement disaster mitigation for Palu region, which aims to reduce the number of casualties when natural disasters occur, both human and property loses.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Each process and stage in processing coconut into copra has a different and unnatural work attitude and is carried out for a long time and can cause subjective fatigue symptoms and create a risky workload for copra farmer workers in the coconut husk stripping section. This study aims to determine the effect of giving short breaks on the work fatigue of kopra (coconut) farmer workers in Elusan Village. The research method used a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent pre-post control-group design. The sampling technique in this study is non-probability sampling using a purposive sampling technique. The samples in the study totaled 13 samples in each group. The study time is from November – December 2022. The research instrument used to assess work fatigue is from the Industrial Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC). Data analysis using SPSS v.25 with Parametric Independent T-Test. The results showed that the subjective fatigue variable in the control group showed no meaningful difference (p>0.05) with a value of t = 6.72 and a value of p = 5.08. Subjective fatigue analysis in the intervention group showed that results differed meaningfully (p<0.05) with t values = 18.44 and p values = 0.00 and difference values before and after work = 13.00 (-54.07%). This means giving short breaks can lower subjective fatigue in copra farmers. Thus, it can be concluded that the research hypothesis is accepted and there is an effect of short breaks on the work fatigue of copra farmer workers in Elusan Village Keywords: Ergonomics, Work Physiology, Subjective Fatigue, A Coconut Farmer ABSTRAK Setiap proses dan tahapan dalam pengolahan kelapa menjadi kopra ini memiliki sikap kerja yang berbeda-beda dan tidak alamiah dan dilakukan dalam waktu yang cukup lama dan dapat menyebabkan gejala kelelahan subjektif dan menimbulkan beban kerja yang beresiko bagi pekerja petani kopra bagian pengupasan sabut kelapa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian istirahat pendek terhadap kelelahan kerja pekerja petani kopra (kelapa) di Desa Elusan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan quasi-eksperimen design dengan rancangan non-equivalent pre-post control-group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah non probability sampling dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 13 sampel pada masing-masing kelompok. Waktu penelitian pada Bulan November – Desember 2022. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk menilai kelelahan kerja yaitu dari Industrial Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC). Analisis data menggunakan SPSS v.25 dengan uji Parametrik Independent T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel kelelahan subjektif pada kelompok kontrol menunjukkan hasil tidak berbeda bermakna (p>0,05) dengan nilai t = 6,72 dan nilai p = 5,08. Analisis kelelahan subjektif pada kelompok intervensi menunjukkan bahwa hasil berbeda bermakna (p<0,05) dengan nilai t = 18,44 dan nilai p = 0,00 dan nilai selisih sebelum dan sesudah bekerja = 13.00 (-54,07%).  Pemberian istirahat pendek dapat menurunkan kelelahan subjektif pada petani kopra. Abstract

Meningkatnya penggunaan produk pestisida berdampak negatif terhadap tenaga kerja petani berupa pencemaran yang berujung pada keracunan pestisida. Salah satu langkah yang dapat dilakukan petani untuk mencegah keracunan pestisida adalah dengan memakai Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) lengkap seperti masker, kaca mata, topi, baju khusus, sepatu khusus, dan sarung tangan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hubungan pengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan terhadap penggunaan APD pada petani penyemprot pestisida di Kecamatan Lolayan Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Cross sectional study. Waktu pelaksanaan penelitian pada bulan November sampai Desember 2022 di Kecamatan Lolayan Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Provinsi Sulawesi Utara. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh petani yang berada di Kecamatan Lolayan Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 32 petani. Analisis data menggunakan uji Chi-square. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan (p-value=0,038), sikap (p-value=0,012), dan tindakan (p-value=0,029) berhubungan terhadap penggunaan APD pada petani penyemprot pestisida di Kecamatan Lolayan Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow. Disarankan agar pemerintah kabupaten melaksanakan program pelatihan bagi petani tentang bahaya pestisida dan prosedur operasi standar penggunaan pestisida yang aman. Selain itu, edukasi tentang tanda bahaya dan pentingnya penggunaan APD saat menyemprot pestisida. Kata kunci: Pengetahuan, Sikap, Tindakan, APD, Petani, Pestisida

Abstract

ABSTRAK Industri manufaktur memiliki peran sentral dalam memproduksi berbagai produk sehari-hari, tetapi juga memiliki risiko tinggi terhadap kecelakaan dan cedera kerja, seperti yang dialami oleh perusahaan CV Victorina yang bergerak dalam berbagai jenis produksi. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan tingkat kepatuhan pekerja dalam menggunakan alat pelindung diri (APD) yang sesuai, seperti helm, sarung tangan, masker pelindung, dan sepatu keselamatan dan meningkatkan pemahaman pekerja tentang praktik ergonomi yang benar saat bekerja. Ini termasuk penyesuaian postur kerja, teknik pengangkatan yang benar, dan pencegahan cedera yang terkait dengan ergonomi. Metode yang digunakan adalah berupa penyuluhan kesehatan kerja dengan metode ceramah, tanya jawab dan diskusi aktif. Peserta yang terlibat sebanyak 10 orang pekerja di CV. Victorina Kabupaten Minahasa Sulawesi Utara. Sebelum pelaksanaan penyuluhan diberikan pre-test terlebih   dahulu   untuk   mengetahui   sejauh   mana   pengetahuan pekerja tentang penggunaan alat pelindung diri dan bahaya ergonomi, setelah itu pemberian materi dan tanya jawab, serta diakhiri dengan pemberian post test untuk menilai keberhasilan dari penyuluhan ini. Dalam pengabdian ini, hasil yang dicapai ada perubahan pengetahuan tentang penggunaan alat pelindung diri dan bahaya ergonomi dibuktikan dengan hasil pre dan post test ada peningkatan. Kata Kunci: Penyuluhan, Alat Pelindung Diri, Risiko Ergonomi, Industri  ABSTRACT The manufacturing industry has a central role in producing a variety of everyday products, but it also has a high risk of occupational accidents and injuries, as experienced by the CV. Victorina company which is engaged in various types of production. The purpose of this service activity is to increase the level of worker compliance in using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as helmets, gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes, and increase workers' understanding of correct ergonomic practices while working. This includes work posture adjustments, correct lifting techniques, and prevention of ergonomics-related injuries. The method used was occupational health counseling using lectures, questions and answers, and active discussion. The participants involved were 10 workers at CV Victorina, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi. Before the implementation of counseling, a pre-test was given first to determine the extent of workers' knowledge about the use of personal protective equipment and ergonomic hazards, after which the material was given and asked questions and answers, and ended with a post-test to assess the success of this counseling. In this service, the results achieved are changes in knowledge about the use of personal protective equipment and ergonomic hazards as evidenced by the pre and post-test results. Keywords: Education, Personal Protective Equipment, Ergonomic Risks, Industry

Abstract

Transportasi mempunyai peranan penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat untuk membantu berpindah dari satu tempat ke tempat lain dengan lebih mudah dan cepat. Kecelakaan lalu lintas adalah salah satu masalah yang terjadi pada aspek transportasi. Kecelakaan ini dapat melibatkan kendaraan bermotor, pejalan kaki, atau jenis transportasi lainnya. Ketika pengemudi berkendara secara terus menerus umumnya menyebabkan tingkat kewas­padaan akan menurun. Penurunan kewaspadaan dapat mempengaruhi kondisi kelelahan dalam berkendara yang menjadi penyebab kecelakaan lalu lintas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelelahan subjektif yang dialami oleh sopir bus BRT. Peneli­tian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif, dimana data kelelah­an subjektif sopir bus BRT dievaluasi dari hasil kuesioner Bourdon Wiersma, pengukuran kelelahan subjektif dilihat dari tiga aspek yaitu kecepatan, ketelitian dan konstansi. Kelelahan subjektif pada sopir bus BRT ditinjau dari aspek kecepatan yaitu lelah ringan 54,3% dan lelah sedang 45,7%. Kelelahan pada sopir bus BRT ditinjau dari aspek keteliti­an yaitu 45,7% lelah ringan dan 54,3% lelah sedang. Kelelahan pada sopir bus BRT ditin­jau dari aspek konstansi yaitu 20% lelah sedang dan 80% lelah berat. Kelelahan subjektif pengemudi diakibatkan pekerjaan yang repetitif dan monoton dalam posisi duduk dengan jarak gerak yang agak sempit, terkadang dapat diperparah dengan kondisi jalan yang padat, sehingga dapat meningkatkan faktor stres kerja.

Abstract

Kawangkoan beans are well known as one of the souvenirs and snacks typical of North Sulawesi. Named kawangkoan beans, because the area has a fertile soil type and a climate suitable for peanut growth. Kacang is also an icon of the Kawangkoan sub-district which has been enshrined in a peanut statue. The manufacture of kawangkoan beans is usually carried out in several stages, namely from upstream to downstream processes. The stages of making kawangkoan beans sequentially include planting, fertilizing, caring, harvesting, drying, roasting, packaging, and selling. These stages are usually carried out by several farmer groups and home industries, especially IKM Rimawar. The purpose of this service is to implement and train partners regarding the kawangkoan bean roasting machine so that later roasted peanut production is better, faster and cost-effective. The methodology carried out includes field surveys, interviews, machine manufacturing, training, machine handover and reporting. The results obtained from this service are that participants are able to understand the process of using and maintaining machines with a percentage of 95%. In addition, for the percentage of participant activity, this value reaches 90%. The activity was obtained from the observations of the participants during the training. Furthermore, for the cooperation process, all participants were able to work well together, this was shown by the percentage of group cooperation which reached 95%. The application of this peanut roaster machine is very good for partners and easy to use. Used fuel oil is easy to find, making the use of this machine able to protect the environment from indiscriminate disposal of used oil waste.

Abstract

Work-related musculoskeletal disorders are a serious problem that can affect the health and productivity of laundry workers. Workers who experience such disorders may experience pain, muscle stiffness, joint inflammation, and even serious injury. This study aimed to investigate the frequency of work-related musculoskeletal disorders among laundry workers in North Sulawesi. This study was a quantitative, descriptive cross-sectional survey conducted over 1 month in the Tondano - Tomohon Region. A total sample of 225 laundry workers was taken using the accidental sampling technique. The questionnaire used was the Nordic Body Map. The chi-square test was applied to analyze the association between age and musculoskeletal disorders among laundry workers. Complaints felt in all parts of the worker's body 5.38% were very pain, 17.81% were pain, 36.39% were rather pain, and 39.67% were not pain. The body part that experienced the most complaints of severe pain was back at 10.2%, feeling pain was the waist at 37.3%, feeling pain was the right arm at 47.1%, and no pain was the left elbow at 71.6%. Frequency of work-related musculoskeletal disorders, specifically back and lumbar pain to severe pain, among laundry workers. An association was found between the age of laundry workers and the frequency of WMSDs. Thus, appropriate interventions need to be taken to improve working conditions, protect workers' health, and minimize the risk of work-related musculoskeletal disorders in the laundry industry.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the basic values ​​that lecturers must have and understand as State Civil Servants and to actualize the basic values ​​of ASN through the use of the jigsaw learning method. Through this habituation activity, it is hoped that it can become a benchmark for success in improving public services. There are 6 supporting activities chosen to complete the selected core issue, namely creating and packaging learning plans that focus on student activity. deliver learning material using the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model, compose questions in varied forms, carry out formative evaluations, check student exam/test results, and carry out analysis of student exam/test results. The research findings are that the actualization of ANEKA values ​​that has been implemented has succeeded in motivating and increasing students' understanding and activeness with innovative learning models in the Basic Occupational Health and Safety course. This increase in understanding can be seen from the results of evaluation tests in participating in learning during actualization and increasing student activity during learning time. By analyzing the evaluation results, it was found that students' learning completeness was rated as very good at 35%, good at 50%, and quite good at 15%.

Abstract

Dalam melakukan aktivitas proses produksi dijumpai beberapa sistem fasilitas kerja, serta kondisi kerja yang tidak sesuai dengan aspek ergonomic pada area kerja operator yang mengakibatkan rasa kurang nyaman pada saat bekerja. Tujuan pelaksanaan program kemitraan masyarakat ini maka prioritas yang harus ditangani bersama mitra adalah perlu melakukan penerapan ergo-mechanical design yang dapat memberikan perbaikan dari sisi kesehatan kerja dan kualitas produk yang dihasilkan. Hal ini dapat memberikan peningkatan daya saing produk.  Metode pelaksanaan yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini adalah dengan melakukan metode sosialisasi dan pembinaan terhadap proses kerja agar lebih efektif melalui perencanaan stasiun kerja agar sesuai dengan karakter pekerja, kapasitas, alat dan ruang serta lingkungan kerja, dilakukan penataan ruang kerja ergonomis, serta melakukan pengadaan fasilitas kerja berupa meja kerja dan lemari penyimpanan bahan dan alat-alat kerja untuk menunjang peningkatan kualitas dan perlindungan hasil produksi.   Hasil dari sosialisasi yang dilakukan pekerja dan pemilik usaha semakin mengerti tentang pentingnya memiliki ruang kerja yang ergonomic dimana dapat meningkatkan hasil produksi dan meningkatkan produktivitas kerja, juga dapat menghindari kelelahan fisik dan mental pekerja serta mencegah terjadinya penyakit akibat kerja dan kecelakaan akibat kerja saat bekerja.  Pelatihan design dilakukan untuk menunjang proses produksi, sebelum adanya pelatihan design ini, proses design produksi di CV. Victorina masih menggunakan gambar konvensional atau manual. pekerja mampu mengetahui dan menerapkan ergonomic dan design menggunakan solidwork dalam proses design produk yang dihasilkan berdasarkan kaidah design dan kaidah ergonomic yaitu menggunakan acuan antropometri orang Indonesia sehingga kualitas kesehatan dan kualitas produksi yang bersaing

Abstract

An energy audit is a technique used to calculate the amount of energy consumed in buildings and identify ways to reduce it. The Kediri District Office Building currently uses electrical energy efficiently. However, an energy audit is still necessary to determine the amount of electrical energy used, the IKE value, and identify opportunities for energy savings in the Kediri Sub-District Office Building. The data shows that several rooms in the building do not meet the IKE criteria. Out of 13 rooms, 5 are categorized as wasteful, 1 as efficient, 5 as efficient, and 2 as very efficient based on their IKE calculation. To save electrical energy, consider replacing the AC unit and calculating the necessary cooling capacity (PK) for each room based on its area. Additionally, changing the type of load can help meet IKE criteria without compromising the load's function. After implementing the energy-saving method, the Kediri Sub-District Office Building's average monthly electrical energy consumption decreased to 3,233.52, resulting in an annual consumption of 38,802.24. The IKE calculation for each of the 13 rooms showed that 2 rooms were categorized as very efficient, 8 rooms as efficient, and 3 rooms as quite efficient.  This resulted in an average energy savings of 746.28 per month and cost savings of Rp. 1,268,325 per month.  The English version of the abstract is written using English in the form of past tense and appropriate sentences. Results and conclusions are written in present tense. Abstracts are expected to be more communicative and not monotonous. Text length between 150-250 words. Writing abbreviations and mathematical formulas in the abstract needs to be avoided. The abstract briefly explains the problem, objectives, methods, results and conclusions.
