Abstract

This research is aimed at finding the curriculum design of Islamic economic, especially on its epistemological basis, its method of integration and its method of teaching. The object of research is postgraduate program at universities that offer the degree of Islamic Economic. The universities that will be researched represent four outstanding countries that have serious concern on Islamic economic studies. Those universities are International Islamic University Islamabad Pakistan, Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, International Islamic University of Malaysia and four Universities of Indonesia i.e. Islamic State University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Islamic State University Sunan Ampel, University of Airlangga, and STIE Tazkia. The data will be collected through documentary and interview method. To analyze the data the researchers employs descriptive, compare and contrast, and synthesis method. The curriculum design that includes the vision and mission where epistimological aspects are clearly stated, in most of Islamic economics departments. However, not all departments that state explicity their vision and mission and objective clearly have clear statement on the integration of conventional and Islamic economics. Islamic State University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Islamic State University Sunan Ampel, University of Airlangga, STIE Tazkia, and Istanbul Sabbahatain Zaim do not state clearly the vision and mission in relation the program of integration and Islamization. So the epistimological aspect is not taken into serious consideration as the vision and mission of the program. The Universities that clearly state the integration and Islamization are Islamic Science University of Malaysia, International Islamic University of Islamabad, and International Islamic University of Malaysia.

Abstract

This article highlights the principles and implementation of Islamic banking marketing ethics. Ethics based on sharia principles are an essential differentiator from their competitors. It begins from the 4 P's marketing mix framework, namely product, price, promotion, and place. This article is qualitative descriptive research using literature review. This article employs secondary data from 11 articles. The data that has been collected then analyzed with descriptive information. Therefore, through 4 P's marketing mix lens, this article finds a lack of ethical marketing practices in Islamic Banking from the ethical ideals espoused in the literature. This study analyzes the ethical marketing practices of Islamic banks which can be used as an evaluation of policies in the Islamic financial industry.

Abstract

In the book "Theory and Practice of Islamic Economics: The Basics of Islamic Economics" Dr. Mohammad Abdul Mannan, explained that the Islamic social order is based on the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, which can be formed if each resident is able to maintain harmony among the families, families with the public, community and government, namely creation of an implementation of the rights and obligations can be met. Furthermore, he expressed the characteristics of an Islamic social order that is social equality, the right to exploit the wealth proportionately and private ownership recognized and protected in Islam, an Islamic mandate to engage in economic activities by setting a good rule to ensure the implementation of these activitiesin an honest and benefit, elimination of the capitalist system in all fields of economic activity,  modern planning concept that refers to the utilization of domestic resources to achieve certain goals which are subject to the orders of the holy book of Qur'an and Sunnah, the creation of social justice. Other than that he would affirm the concept of welfare state in Islam, by applying the values in the teachings of Islam as a moral and spiritual values,  economic values, and Islamic social and political values.  Next will be explained about the Islamic social order is clear, concise, and solid.Keywords: Islamic social order and its characteristics, the concept of welfare states with moral , spiritual, social, political, and economic.

Abstract

This article describes the structure of the waqf concept from a worldview theory perspective. Worldview is simply a fundamental belief system concerning God, reality, man and truth, ethics, etc.; which serves as a guide for human life. A person's worldview will determine his behavior and actions. The next question is what kind of belief concept makes someone willing to do waqf? This article is a literature review that employs qualitative data with a philosophical approach. The data analysis method employs content analysis of data sources from the library. The result shows that the worldview analysis on waqf is a concept that was emerging from the Islamic worldview whose emergence was supported by various other fundamental concepts such as God, Prophets, Revelation, and Sharia (religion). It proves that the structure of the waqf concept is not as simple as handing over the property to Allah for the benefit of others. The peculiarity of such waqf concept seems impossible to be affirmed by the secular Western worldview, which is unable to affirm the concept of revelation, the Prophet, and religion. It also proves that the philosophical foundation of a waqf concept built on an Islamic worldview is very consistent, solid, and even has a broad spectrum that spans the worldly and the hereafter visions simultaneously.

Abstract

Seiring berjalannya waktu kegiatan perekonomian di dunia mengalami peningkatan yang sangat tajam, kegiatan bisnis semakin lama semakin berkembang di segala sektor hal ini menyebabkan perputaran arus uang yang cepat di masyarakat. Penggunaan sistem pembayaran dengan uang dalam jumlah besar dirasakan kurang efektif dan efesien serta menimbulkan banyak resiko maka, manusia pun mencari alternatif lain untuk bisa mengimbangi laju pertumbuhan ekonomi yang tinggi.Akhirnya, lahir kartu plastik yang lebih dikenal dengan kartu kredit menggantikan fungsi uang sebagai alat pembayaran. Penggunaan kartu kredit yang dirasa lebih aman dan praktis dengan berbagai fungsinya yang semakin bertambah, menjadikan alat bayar baru ini semakin berkembang pesat, khususnya di perkotaan yang terdapat banyak tempat publik lainnya. Sebagaimana alat pembayaran modern, maka cukup dengan “menggesek” kartu untuk mendebit nilai transaksi yang diinginkan.Namun, dalam penggunaan kartu kredit Syariah tesebut masih menyisakan banyak masalah khususnya bagi kaum muslim yang belum memahaminya tentang mekanisme akad yang digunakan yaitu; kafalah, qard, wal ijarah, serta penggunaan tiga akad inipun dalam kartu kredit Syariah menimbulkan banyak masalah yang berkenaan dengan fiqh Islam.Oleh karena itu, peneliti ingin meneliti, menjelaskan dan menggambarkan konsep penggunaan iB Hasanah Card yaitu kartu kredit Syariah yang diterbitkan dari BNI Syariah, dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memperjelas konsep penggunaan kartu kresit Syariah khususnya yang ada di Indonesia.

Abstract

Korupsi merupakan salah satu tantangan terbesar yang dihadapi oleh seluruh bangsa di dunia. Hal tersebut terlepas dari dampak keberadaanya yang amatlah merusak tatanan social kemasyarakatan di berbagai level. Dalam aspek ekonomi, korupsi terbukti menghambat setiap usaha pembangunan bahkan menghancurkan perekonomian Negara. Dewasa ini, perehatian terhadap kejaahatan luar biasa (extraordinary crime) ini meningkat dengan pesat seiring dengan semakin tinggi kesadaran akan kerugian yang ditimbulkannya. Berbagai kajian pun dilakukan untuk mencari strategi yang paling efektif untuk memberantasnya, terutama oleh ilmuwan barat. Penelitian ini merupakan studi pustaka (library research) dengan teknik analisa deskriptif )descriptive method) untuk mengkaji pemnikiran ekonomi para ulama muslim. Kemudian dengan teknik deduktif (deductive method), dirumuskan langkah-langkah perlawanan terhadap korupsi dalam pandangan ekonomi Islam. Hasil dari penelitian terhadap pemikiran tiga ulama ekonomi yaitu Al-Mawardi, Al-Ghazali, dan Umer Chapra menunjukkkan bahwa untuk menekan perilaku koruptif diperlukan terpenuhinya enam prasyarat utama yaitu (1) agama yang kesejahteraannya terus menurus, (2) harapan yang tinggi, (3) keadilan yang menyeluruh, (4) kesejahteraan yang terus menerus, (5) keamanan public, dan (6) kekuasaan yang kuat. Adapun langkah-langkah yang seharusnya dilakukan oleh Negara ialah (1) Pendidikan ekonomi Islam (2) Penerapan Good Governance, (3) Pemberian sanksi yang setimpal pada pelaku korupsi harta, dan (4) pembentukan lembaga Negara khusus untuk melawan korupsi harta.

Abstract

Kemiskinan merupakan masalah besar yang pasti dirasakan oleh seluruh bangsa termasuk Indonesia. Dan kota Ponorogo di Jawa Timur salah satu diantaranya, dengan tingkat kemiskinan yang tinggi. Lembaga Amil Zakat (LAZ) Ummat Sejahtera Ponorogo adalah lembaga non organisasi tertua yang bergerak dalambidang zakat, infaq dan shodaqoh di Ponorogo. Dengan pengalaman lebih dari 11 tahun, ditambah dengan jumlah muzakki yang terus meningkat seharusnya dapat memecahkan masalah kemiskinan di Ponorogo. Meski begitu,masih banyak kita jumpai pengemis menyusuri kota. Sebuah penelitian memaparkan bahwa peran zakat dalam mengurangi kemiskinan amatlah besar. Dan pemberdayaan LAZ Ummat Sejagtera dalam mengurangi kemiskinan menjadi menarik dikaji. Melalui penyebaran sample angket berjumlah 25 orang dan merupakan para mustahiq dana zakat dalam bentuk modal kerja. Indikator kemiskinan yang dipakai adalah sesuai dengan BPSm yaitu FGT Index yang mencakup Headcount Index (P0) yang menggambarkan persentase orang miskin dalam populasi yang diteliti, Peverty Gap Index (P1) yang menggambarkan posisi mustahiq terhadap garis kemiskinan, dan Poverty Severity Index (H2) yang menggambarkan tingkat ketimpangan pendapatan antar orang miskin dalam populasi tersebut. Ditambah dengan analisa menggunakan paires sample terst pada program SPSS untuk mengetahui perbedaan pendapat sebelum dan sesudah menikah mendapatkan bantuan dalam program pemberdayaan zakat oleh LAZ Ummat Sejahtera Ponorogo.

Abstract

This study tries to analyzethe correct sellingand purchasing transactions whichcomply with law ofIslamiceconomic and compared with the dropshipping mechanismon online business. This study was found that thetransaction by using dropshipping mechanism afterreviewing from the aspect of pillarsofselling and purchasingaccording to syariah economic law had not fulfilled therequirements, specially in terms of ma’qud alaih (objector goods transacted) so it can be concluded through twoopinions, that is dropshipping which has prohibited was thepractice of selling and purchasing under the usual dropshipmechanism, and using a salam contract scheme, while theallowable dropshipping was a dropshipping mechanism which used an intermediary or samsarah scheme, and arepresentative or wakalah scheme.

Abstract

Problems related to environmental damage is a hottopic discussed today. Aside from being concerned with thebasic needs of all humanity, environmental degradationgoes hand in hand with economic and technologicaladvancements which are expected to lead to humanbenefit and prosperity. One of the efforts made to provideenvironmental protection is to adopt the application ofStrict Liability in Anglo Saxon countries in solving cases ofenvironmental damage caused by corporations. Accordingto the principle of strict liability, the claim is not basedon an element of error but is based on the impact of thedefendant’s actions. One example of a forest and landfire that was successfully decided based on Strict Liabilityis the decision number: 456 / Pdt.G-LH / 2016 / PNJkt Sel. On the other hand, environmental problems arealso closely related to spiritual issues. As a living solution,Islam provides views through Muslim scholars regardingenvironmental issues with the inception of the idea of Al-Biah Fiqh. The approach taken through Maqasid Syariah,by combining hifdz al-biah as a matter of dharuriyat. Thiswas supported by Mustafa Abu Sway and also Ali Yafie.The results of this study indicate a paradigm differencebetween the more reductionist environmental law and amore holistic environmental law. But even so, Strict Liabilitycan be adjusted with fiqh al-biah with several conditions

Abstract

Pemberdayaan ekonomi ummat Islam melalui pelaksanaan ibadah zakat masih banyak menemui hambatan yang bersumber terutama dari kalangan ummat Islam itu sendiri. Kesadaran pelaksanaan zakat di kalangan ummat Islam masih belum diikuti dengan tingkat pemahaman yang memadai tentang ibadah yang satu ini, khususnya jika diperbandingkan dengan ibadah wajib lainnya seperti sholat dan puasa. Kurangnya pemahaman tentang jenis harta yang wajib zakat dan mekanisme pembayaran yang dituntunkan oleh syari’at Islam menyebabkan pelaksanaan ibadah zakat menjadi sangat tergantung pada masing-masing individu. Hal tersebut pada gilirannya mempengaruhi perkembangan institusi zakat, yang seharusnya memegang peranan penting dalam pembudayaan ibadah zakat secara kolektif agar pelaksanaan ibadah hart aini menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien.
