Abstract

This study presents a systematic literature review of counterproductive work behavior (CWB) using the PRISMA methodology to analyze research trends over the past decade (2014–2024). CWB encompasses negative actions performed by employees that may harm organizations, either directly or indirectly. This study identifies key factors influencing CWB, including personality traits such as narcissism, decision-making styles, perceived task legitimacy, and broader social and economic factors. The findings reveal that illegitimate tasks, job stress, and an unfavorable organizational environment are primary triggers of CWB. Additionally, leadership factors significantly contribute to the emergence of counterproductive behaviors in the workplace. Through an analysis of 11 selected journal articles from the Scopus database, this study highlights the trends in CWB research across various countries and industries, particularly at the managerial level. This research provides insights into the importance of organizational policies and managerial interventions in mitigating the negative impacts of CWB. It also identifies gaps in the literature, offering opportunities for further exploration, particularly in understanding the role of cultural and organizational policies in preventing CWB. By adopting a more holistic approach, organizations can foster a healthier and more productive work environment. Abstract

The healthcare sector, while central to public well-being, is paradoxically responsible for 4–5% of global greenhouse gas emissions. This systematic literature review (SLR) critically explores the emerging concept of Green Work Engagement (GWE)—defined as employees’ proactive involvement in sustainable practices—and its transformative potential for healthcare institutions. Guided by the PRISMA framework, this review synthesizes high-quality studies from 2014 to 2024, identifying leadership, organizational support, environmental awareness, and green HRM as pivotal antecedents of GWE. Findings highlight that green servant leadership and green talent management foster innovative behaviors, enhance job satisfaction, and improve both environmental performance and clinical outcomes. Technological integration (e.g., cloud computing) and structured frameworks (e.g., GreenEd, 5R) also emerge as key enablers of systemic change. However, the literature reveals methodological gaps, limited application in developing contexts, and insufficient empirical evaluation of behavioral interventions. This study offers a robust conceptual foundation and practical roadmap for embedding sustainability into healthcare operations, emphasizing the role of leadership, employee engagement, and inclusive organizational culture in advancing environmental stewardship. The review concludes with actionable research directions to strengthen the theoretical and practical relevance of GWE and support the healthcare sector’s alignment with global sustainability goals. Abstract

Social media platforms have revolutionized how consumers receive and evaluate product information, particularly through Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM). TikTok, with its interactive features and large user base, has emerged as a powerful E-WOM medium that can influence consumer behavior. This study investigates the impact of E-WOM components—information quality, credibility, suitability, and needs—on information usefulness, information adoption, and ultimately purchase intention for Wardah cosmetic products. A quantitative, descriptive-causal research design was applied using purposive sampling, with 160 respondents from the JABODETABEK area who had purchased Wardah products at least twice in 2023. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that all proposed relationships are statistically significant: E-WOM attributes positively affect information usefulness, which in turn influences information adoption and purchase intention. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the role of E-WOM in digital consumer behavior and offers practical insights for cosmetic brands aiming to leverage social media platforms for marketing strategies. Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of transformational leadership and work motivation on job satisfaction, with contingent reward as a moderating variable. Transformational leadership and work motivation influence job satisfaction, while contingent rewards act as awards based on performance achievements. This research uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Model Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires using Google Forms involving 100 respondents. The population in this research study was PT Tembaga Mulia Semanan Tbk; the sampling technique used was purposive sampling, namely permanent employees of PT Tembaga Mulia Semanan Tbk. The sample for this research was permanent employees of PT Tembaga Mulia Semanan Tbk. The findings of this research show that transformational leadership and work motivation influence job satisfaction. In addition, contingent rewards were not proven to moderate the relationship between transformational leadership and job satisfaction. In contrast, contingent rewards were proven to moderate the relationship between work motivation and job satisfaction. This research provides implications for companies developing a transformational leadership style and creating a reward system to increase team member motivation and job satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership on turnover intention, considering the mediating roles of work stress and organizational commitment among retail industry employees. The research employed a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), involving 155 respondents working at PT Duta Intiguna Yasa (Mr.DIY) in East Jakarta, Bogor, and Depok. The results indicate that transformational leadership does not have a direct effect on turnover intention, but it does exert an indirect influence through two pathways: the reduction of work stress and the enhancement of organizational commitment. Organizational commitment emerged as a stronger mediator in reducing turnover intention, while work stress also played a significant yet weaker mediating role. Meanwhile, the indirect effect of work stress on turnover intention through organizational commitment, as well as the combined dual mediation pathway, was not statistically significant. These findings underscore the importance of developing transformational leadership to foster employee loyalty. Practical implications include leadership training, effective stress management strategies, and efforts to strengthen organizational commitment in order to improve employee retention in the retail sector.   Keywords: Transformational Leadership, Turnover Intention, Work Stress, Organizational Commitment, Retail Industry

Abstract

Research on green transformational leadership has attracted academic attention in recent years. However, a comprehensive analysis of the development of green transformational leadership and its role in changes that occur within organizations has not been conducted. To address this gap, this literature aims to review the development of green transformational leadership and analyze the role of green transformational leadership in changes that occur at both the individual and organizational levels. A systematic literature review approach was used in writing this article. Selected journal articles are analyzed to determine their relationship and relevance to the topic of Green Transformational Leadership. Research on Green Transformational Leadership has increased over the past 12 years. In total, 25 articles were examined in this literature review, a large portion of literature used quantitative approaches and were mostly studied in the Asian continent. Based on the findings analyzed, Transformational leadership styles have shifted towards a sustainable approach because of the emphasized responsibility for environmentally friendly behavioral practices for organizations. In addition, Green Transformational Leadership plays an important role in management change at both the individual and organizational levels. This study describes the structural overview of 25 journal articles published from 2013 to early 2025. This review presents an in-depth discussion of the current state of research, trends and future research directions on green transformational leadership.   Keywords: Green Transformational Leadership; Change Management; Sustainable Management

Abstract

Conflicts between personal life and work are increasingly common due to dynamic work environments and growing job demands. This study aims to analyze the effects of Work Interference With Personal Life (WIPL), Personal Life Interference With Work (PLIW), and Emotional Exhaustion on Counterproductive Behavior (CPB) among employees at poultry slaughterhouses. A quantitative approach was employed through a questionnaire survey distributed to 196 respondents. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4 software. The results reveal that WIPL does not significantly affect CPB, while both PLIW and Emotional Exhaustion have a positive effect on CPB. Moreover, WIPL and PLIW significantly increase Emotional Exhaustion levels. However, Emotional Exhaustion does not mediate the relationship between WIPL or PLIW and CPB. These findings highlight the importance of managing emotional fatigue and ensuring work-life balance to prevent counterproductive behaviors in the workplace.
