Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS berbasis masalah pada materi sistem ekskresi yang layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran siswa kelas VIII SMP. Pembelajaran berbasis masalah merupakan model pembelajaran yang mencirikan adanya masalah nyata sebagai konteks bagi siswa untuk mempelajari keterampilan kritis dan pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian pengembangan (Research & Development) dengan mengacu pada model Plomp, yang terdiri dari 5 tahap, yaitu: (1) tahap investigasi awal, (2) tahap desain, (3) tahap relasi, (4) ) tahap pengujian, tahap evaluasi dan revisi, (5) tahap implementasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pengembangan LKS berbasis masalah diperoleh rata-rata hasil validasi media 87% dengan kategori sangat valid dan rata-rata hasil ahli materi 91,5% dalam kategori sangat valid. "kategori. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan LKS berbasis masalah pada materi sistem ekskresi untuk digunakan pada siswa kelas VIII SMP yang dikembangkan dengan model Plomp sangat valid untuk digunakan kemudian dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to find out the level of the students' problem solving skills on environmental material at X class of MAN Bintan. The researcher applied descriptive quantitative approach as method for analyzing the data. Sampling in this study using Total Sampling technique with the sampel consisted of 59 students. This instrument is used to collect students' problem solving skills through six aspects to Chang & Kelly with 6 items essay and feature interviews. The data were analyzed with statistical rule in percentage. Based on the results of data analyze shows that a 77% rate highly classified. The researcher concluded that student at X class MAN Bintan has good problem solving skills. However, it still needs training and guidance to develop problem solving skills.

Abstract

The aim of this study to determine student questions based on Revised Bloom's Taxonomy. This study was done by quantitative approach with descriptive research method. Research data were obtained through analysis of student questions sheets and interviews. Guide the student’s question were analysid sheet was used to record student questions while learning in class. Based on the results of the analysis it is known that 20% of students' questions at the cognitive domain level C1 (Remembering), 37% at the C2 level (Understanding), 20% at the C3 level (Applying), 11,5% at the C4 level (Analyzing), 11,5% at the C5 level (Evaluating), and 0% at the C6 level (Creating). While based on the dimension of knowledge, factual level questions were asked by 26% of students, conceptual level questions by 74%, and there was no question in procedural and metacognitive level.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to know: 1) the influence of Problem Based Instruction to the mastery of biology concept; 2) the influence of student’s learning motivation to the mastery of biology concept; 3) the interaction between learning model and learning motivation to the mastery of biology concept; and 4) the influence of better learning strategy to the mastery of biology concept. This research was quasi experiment research using Randomized Control Only design. Learning model and learning motivation were independent variables and mastery of biology concept was the dependent variable. The population of this research was all of  X grade of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta. The samples of this research were the students of class X-5 as the control class and students of class X-4 as the experimental class.  The sample of this research was established by cluster random sampling. The data about the result of study biology collected by use test and observation. Learning motivation meansured by using questionnaires. The analisis of this research was anava two away in different cell and the advance test used Bonfferoni test. The conclusion of this research were: 1) Problem Based Instruction had significant influence to the mastery of biology concept on X grade of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta; 2) Learning motivation had significant influence to the mastery of biology concept on X grade of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta; and 3) There wasn’t interaction between learning model and learning motivation to the mastery of biology concept on X grade of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta. Key Words: the mastery of biology concept, Problem Based Instruction, and learning motivation

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media tiga dimensi model kayu penampang jaringan tumbuhan pada materi struktur dan fungsi tumbuhan kelas VIII SMP yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (research & development) dengan mengadaptasi model penelitian ADDIE yang melalui beberapa tahap yaitu : analysis (analisis kondisi peserta didik, analisis kurikulum, analisis, media, analisis materi), desain (menentukan konsep yang akan dibuat media, mencari literatur tentang media tiga dimensi, merancang bentuk media yang akan dibuat, mencari bahan, mulai membuat produk), development (penyusunan instrumen dan validasi aspek media dan materi), implementation (uji praktikalitas dan efektivitas), dan evaluation (penilaian dan revisi akhir). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pengembangan diketahui bahwa validitas pada aspek media dan materi dikategorikan sangat valid. Hasil uji praktikalitas dikategorikan sangat praktis. Hasil uji efektivitas ranah kognitif media adalah efektif dengan kategori peningkatan “tinggi” sedangkan efektivitas motivasi belajar siswa adalah efektif dengan kategori peningkatan sedang. Dengan hasil tersebut maka media tiga dimensi model kayu penampang jaringan tumbuhan pada materi struktur dan fungsi tumbuhan kelas VIII SMP valid, praktis dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran biologi. Kata-kata kunci : Tiga Dimensi; Model Kayu; Struktur dan Fungsi Tumbuhan Abstract This research focused to develop a three dimensional media model of wood cross section of plant tissue on the material structure and function of plants to first grade of junior high school that is valid, practical and effective for uses in students’ learning activities. This research carried out development by adapting the ADDIEs’ research model through several stage, that is: analysis (analysis of students’ condition, analysis of curriculum, analysis of media and analysis of material), design (determine the concept that was created by the media, find the literature of three dimensional media, designing the shape of the media was created, looking for languages and start making shapes), development (preparation of instruments and validation of media and material aspects), and evaluation (final assessment & revision). Result indicated that the development of a three dimensional media and material is known that the assessment of the validity categorized was very vali. The result of practicality test categorized was very practical. For the result of the effectiveness test on cognitive was efective with the improvement category was high while the effectiveness of students’ learning motivation is effective with the improvement category was “moderate”. This indicates that there are three dimension media model of wood cross section of plant tissue on the material structure and function of plants to first grade of junior high school was valid, practical and effective for uses in students’ learning activities biology.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the experience of preservice science teacher in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic in Tanjungpinang. This research is a survey research, with a quantitative descriptive research method. The sample is determined using total sampling technique, with totaling 278 peoples. The research instrument used a questionnaire in the Google Form. The results showed that almost all preservice science teacher took part in online learning from home using smartphone devices and learning platforms in the form of whatsapp and google classroom, as well as video conferencing, namely zoom. Most preservice science teacher still do practicums that are carried out independently at home and also virtually. Limited networks and internet data packages are two major aspects that interfere with online learning. However, preservice science teacher feel the benefits of online learning, among others, being efficient in terms of time, increasing digital technology literacy, and avoiding Covid-19.

Abstract

Soal kemampuan berpikir kritis yang berkualitas dibutuhkan untuk mengukur pencapaian siswa setelah mengikuti program pembelajaran yang diberikan oleh guru. Soal yang baik juga dibutuhkan agar siswa terlatih untuk menghadapi persoalan yang membutuhkan kemampuan kompleks tersebut. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan agar guru IPA dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menyusun soal kemampuan berpikir kritis dan menganalisisnya dengan Model RASCH. Pelatihan dilaksanakan secara tatap muka sebanyak dua pertemuan dan dikombinasikan dengan pembimbingan secara daring, dengan total 38 JP. Temuan yang diperoleh menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman guru tentang kemampuan berpikir kritis pada kategori sedang (N-Gain 0,63), peningkatan kualitas soal tes berpikir kritis yang disusun guru, dan peningkatan keterampilan dalam analisis menggunakan Model RASCH

Abstract

Low levels of 'ocean literacy' has been identified in many countries and can be a barrier for citizens to engage in environmentally responsible behavior even though improving public awareness about the ocean can benefit society and the environment. This study assessed the level of knowledge, attitude, and behavior towards the ocean of students grades 10-11 (ages 15-17) in Tanjungpinang, Indonesia, a region with strong connections with the sea. A survey was used in a public school and a private school, with a total of 200 students participating in a test about ocean knowledge and a survey about ocean attitude and behavior. Many test questions were aligned with the SOLE (The Survey of Ocean Literacy and Experience) based on 'Ocean Literacy Principles' established by the Ocean Literacy Campaign in the United States. Overall, respondents possess a moderate level of knowledge, a highly positive attitude towards the ocean environment, and a moderate level category on behavior. There are significant differences: the level of behavior in terms of class level, the level of knowledge, and attitudes in terms of subject interest. There is no significant difference in knowledge between private and public schools. There is a correlation between attitude and knowledge and also between attitude and behavior

Abstract

Siswa sebagai agen perubahan masa depan perlu diberikan edukasi tentang pelestarian lingkungan khususnya ekosistem mangrove. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk pemberian edukasi dan pengenalan melalui seminar konservasi mangrove. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk menanamkan sikap peduli lingkungan sejak dini sehingga dapat membantu membentuk karakter cinta lingkungan pada siswa. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh siswa- siswi sekolah menengah yang ada di kota Tanjungpinang dan kabupaten Bintan. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui metode observasi secara langsung kepada siswa-siswi yang telah mengikuti kegiatan ini. Observasi bertujuan untuk melihat keterlibatan siswa dalam aksi peduli lingkungan yaitu pada kegiatan menanam bibit mangrove yang diikuti oleh siswa. Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan berjalan dengan baik dan siswa-siswa terlibat secara aktif dalam aksi penanaman sebagai bentuk sikap peduli lingkungan. Mulai dari kegiatan seminar konservasi kemudian dilanjutkan pada aksi penanaman mangrove secara langsung siswa menunjukkan ketertarikan dengan terlibat dalam proses pengambilan bibit, penancapan pancang serta penanaman bibit mangrove.
