Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain (1) understanding of high school teachers related to the planning and implementation of learning tools with learning model Problem Based Learning and media reality, (2) display of teacher problems related to the implementation of high school teachers related to learning tools with Problem Based Learning model and reality media, (3) description of student's problem to result of learning on environmental pollution material. The result of observation of teacher and student problem analyzed by qualitative descriptive indicate that teacher's understanding related to Biology based learning model of Problem Based Learning and Media Reality is still very low so that its use in the learning process has not been running optimally, the teacher experiences obstacles in making learning tools include syllabus, RPP, Hand Out, and LKPD. Assessment shows a low percentage or less so that student learning outcomes are also low. Therefore it is necessary to develop biology learning tools with problem-based learning model and reality media to improve student learning outcomes.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh (1) gambaran pemahaman guru SMA terkait perencanaan dan pelaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan media realita, (2) gambaran permasalahan guru terkait pelaksanaan guru SMA terkait perangkat pembelajaran dengan model Problem Based Learning dan media realita, (3) gambaran permasalahan siswa terhadap hasil belajar pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Hasil observasi permasalahan guru dan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriftif kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman guru terkait perangkat pembelajaran Biologi berbasis model Problem Based Learning dan Media Realita masih sangat rendah sehingga penggunaannya pada proses pembelajaran belum berjalan secara optimal, guru mengalami kendala dalam pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran meliputi silabus, RPP, handout, dan LKPD. Penilaian menunjukan persentase yang rendah atau kurang sehingga hasil belajar siswa juga rendah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengembangkan perangkat Pembelajaran Biologi dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan media realita untuk dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of the research are as follows (1) To have a perspective of the understanding of SMA 2 teacher related to the development of the Biology learning media through Discovery Learning, (2) To describe the problems of the teacher related to the planning of biology learning media through Discovery Learning, (3) To describe the problems of the teacher about the implementation of biology learning media through Discovery Learning, 4) to describe the problem of the teacher about the understanding of the concept and scientific behavior. Based on of the observation of the teacher’s needs which analyzed by qualitative descriptive showed as follows (1) Teachers still had problems to apply it during learning process in the class, (2) There are common problems experienced by the teacher during learning process because of the time limit of the development of learning media, 3) Fungi lesson is the lesson that required a lot of memorizing even though it is all around us which means a student could have more interested in learning, (4) The development of Discovery Model of learning equipment is needed in order to improve the understanding of the concept and student’s scientific behaviour. The learning Model used is the Learning Model Based on Discovery Learning. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah (1) untuk memperoleh gambaran pemahaman guru SMAN 2 Samarinda terkait pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran Biologi melalui model Discovery Learning, (2) mendeskripsikan permasalahan guru terkait perencanaan perangkat pembelajaran Biologi melalui model Discovery Learning, (3) mendeskripsikan permasalahan guru terkait pelaksanaan  perangkat Pembelajaran biologi melalui model Discovery Learning, dan (4) mendeskripsikan permasalahan guru terkait pemahaman konsep dan sikap ilmiah. Hasil observasi kebutuhan guru yang dianalisis secara deskriftif kualitatif menunjukan bahwa (1) guru masih kesulitan dalam menerapkan pembelajaran di dalam kelas, (2) terdapat kendala umum  dialami  guru dalam proses pembelajaran, karena keterbatasan waktu dalam pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran, (3) materi jamur merupakan materi yang menuntut banyak hapalan, padahal materi ini ada di sekitar kita seharusnya siswa lebih tertarik untuk belajar, (4) Perlu dilakukan pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran model discovery untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan sikap ilmiah siswa. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan yaitu Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Discovery Learning.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to obtain (1) description of the understanding level of high school teachers related biology learning tools through the Inquiry based learning model, (2) the solutions formulation to solve the problems of teachers solutions related to the development of Biology learning tools in high school, (3) description of the level of problem-solving skills of students related to learning biology-based Inquiry models, (4) the solutions formulation to solve the students problem solving skills related to Inquiry based biology learning model. The observation results of teachers and students problems were analyzed by descriptive qualitative showed that (1) the understanding level of teachers related inquiry based model of biology learning tools is still lacking, so its usage in the learning process has not done optimally, (2) Teachers have trouble in making learning tools. Therefore, teachers need a reference benchmark, mentoring activities and socialization in inquiry based learning model development, (3) Students are still difficult to solve problems in the learning process in the classroom, (4) lack of problem-solving skills students need to be addressed with the full guidance teacher to student related problem solving skills.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh (1) gambaran pemahaman guru SMA terkait perangkat pembelajaran Biologi melalui model pembelajaran berbasis Inquiry, (2) rumusan solusi dalam mengatasi permasalahan guru terkait pengembangan perangkat pembelajarann Biologi di SMA, (3) gambaran tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa terkait pembelajaran Biologi berbasis model Inquiry, dan (4) rumusan solusi dalam mengatasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa terkait pembelajaran Biologi berbasis model Inquiry. Hasil observasi permasalahan guru dan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa (1) pemahaman guru terkait perangkat pembelajaran Biologi berbasis model inkuiri masih kurang sehingga penggunaannya pada proses pembelajaran belum dilakukan secara optimal, (2) guru mengalami kendala dalam pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, guru memerlukan referensi acuan, kegiatan pendampingan dan sosialisasi dalam pengembangangan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis model Inquiry, (3) Siswa masih sulit dalam memecahkan permasalahan pada proses pembelajaran di kelas, dan (4) rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa perlu diatasi dengan bimbingan penuh guru kepada siswa terkait kemampuan pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

Analysis of the problems occurred in the process of learning Science Biology becomes a factor in knowing the level of understanding of teachers regarding materials that comply with the problems of students. The samples in this analysis is the teacher of Junior High School students of biology and Natural Science in Samarinda. The results of the analysis showed as much 68.66% teachers are constrained in implementing learning materials, students are less likely to understand the lessons. Solutions in optimizing the tendency is to implement a biodiversity-based learning materials, but not all teachers understand about learning materials focused on biodiversity especially the area of East Kalimantan. The results of this research it can be concluded that the ability of teachers to address problems in learning to do improvements.Analisis permasalahan yang terjadi pada proses pembelajaran IPA Biologi menjadi faktor dalam mengetahui tingkat pemahaman guru mengenai bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan permasalahan siswa. Sampel pada analisis ini adalah guru IPA Biologi dan siswa SMP di Samarinda. Hasil analisis menunjukkan sebanyak 68,66% guru terkendala dalam menerapkan bahan ajar, akibatnya siswa cenderung kurang memahami pelajaran. Solusi dalam mengoptimalkan kecenderungan tersebut adalah dengan menerapkan bahan ajar berbasis biodiversitas, namun tidak semua guru mengerti tentang bahan ajar yang terfokus pada biodiversitas khususnya daerah Kalimantan Timur. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan guru untuk mengatasi permasalahan dalam pembelajaran perlu dilakukan peningkatan.

Abstract

The problem that is often faced by students is the lack of high-level thinking ability of students especially on the material of human digestive system, causing many students who do not reach the target of graduation so that this research will be related to the problem of high-level thinking ability of junior high school students. The type of this research is quantitative with descriptive approach for data collection using questionnaire and accompanied by unstructured interview. Data analysis techniques with percentages and described. The results showed that 50% of the students were not interested, the digestive system material presented by the teachers 50% of the students were less agree, 33% of the students agreed and 16% of the students strongly agreed, the learning media used by teachers 50% of the students less agree, 33% and 16% of students strongly agreed, a similar case occurred in the use of handouts and evaluation of learning where 66% of students were less amenable and 16% of students agreed, 16% of students strongly agreed. From the results of research can be concluded that the type of device and how to teach teachers that result in the ability to think high level of junior high school students.Permasalahan yang kerap kali dihadapi oleh siswa adalah kurangnya kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa SMP, khususnya pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia sehingga menyebabkan banyak siswa yang tidak mencapai target kelulusan sehingga penelitian ini akan berkaitan dengan permasalahan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa SMP. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif untuk pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan disertai wawancara tidak terstruktur. Teknik analisis data dengan persentase dan dideskripsikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 50% siswa tidak tertarik, materi sistem pencernaan yang disampaikan oleh guru 50% siswa kurang setuju, 33% siswa setuju dan 16% siswa sangat setuju, media pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru 50% siswa kurang setuju, 33% siswa setuju dan 16% siswa sangat setuju, hal yang serupa terjadi pada penggunaan handout dan evaluasi pembelajaran dimana 66% siswa kurang setuju dan 16% siswa setuju, 16% siswa sangat setuju. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada jenis perangkat dan cara mengajar guru yang mengakibatkan kurangnya kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa SMP.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the problems and constraints faced by teachers of SMP Negeri 19 Samarinda associated drafting device science learning through guided inquiry learning model. The method used is the method of percentage based on the answers of a questionnaire distributed to all the science teacher at SMPN 19 Samarinda related devices guided inquiry-based learning models. Results observation concerns the teachers and students were analyzed descriptive qualitatively shows that teachers' understanding related devices science teaching model based inquiry guided still very low, so its use in the learning process has not run optimally, teachers experienced problems in the manufacture of devices based learning model of inquiry guided due to lack of training and socialization in the device pengembangangan inquiry-based learning models. Furthermore, in the learning process requires teachers who support the models and approaches to increase motivation in students learning.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui permasalahan dan kendala yang dihadapi guru SMP Negeri 19 Samarinda terkait penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran IPA melalui model pembelajaran Inkuiri terbimbing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode presentase berdasarkan hasil jawaban dari kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada seluruh guru IPA di SMP Negeri 19 Samarinda terkait perangkat pembelajaran berbasis model inkuiri terbimbing. Hasil observasi permasalahan guru dan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriftif kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman guru terkait perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis model Inkuiri terbimbing masih sangat rendah sehingga penggunaannya pada proses pembelajaran belum berjalan secara optimal, guru mengalami kendala dalam pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis model Inkuiri terbimbing karena kurangnya pelatihan dan sosialisasi dalam pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis model Inkuiri. Selanjutnya dalam proses pembelajaran guru memerlukan model dan pendekatan yang menunjang siswa untuk meningkatkan motivasi dalam belajar.

Abstract

The aim of this study to (1) description of teacher’s problem related to based on examples non examples model, (2) to describe solution of teacher problem related to the implementation of learning device based on Examples Non Examples model, (3) to describe student problem related to biology learning result) describes the solution of student problems related to biology learning outcomes. The population of this requirement analysis is Biology teacher at SMAN 1, SMAN 2, SMAN 3, and SMAN 14 Samarinda. The result of observation of teacher and student problem in descriptive qualitative analysis showed that (1) teacher activity related to planning of biology learning device based on Examples Non Examples model is still less so that its application in teaching and learning activity is not optimal (2) needed socialization and reference reference in development model-based learning tools Examples Non Examples (3) students' learning outcomes fall into the category of less, and (4) required full guidance and assistance by teachers related to student learning outcomes.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mendeskripsikan permasalahan guru terkait perangkat pembelajaran berbasis model Examples Non Examples, (2) mendeskripsikan solusi permasalahan guru terkait pelaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran  berbasis model Examples Non Examples, (3) mendeskripsikan permasalahan siswa terkait hasil belajar biologi, (4) mendeskripsikan solusi permasalahan siswa terkait hasil belajar biologi. Populasi penelitian analisis kebutuhan ini adalah guru Biologi pada SMAN 1, SMAN 2, SMAN 3, dan SMAN 14 Samarinda. Hasil observasi permasalahan guru dan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa (1) kegiatan guru terkait perencanaan perangkat pembelajaran biologi berbasis model Examples Non Examples masih kurang sehingga  sehingga penerapannya dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar tidak optimal  (2) diperlukan sosialisasi dan acuan referensi  dalam pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis model Examples Non Examples (3) hasil belajar siswa masuk kategori kurang,  dan (4) diperlukan bimbingan dan pendampingan yang penuh  oleh guru terkait hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penyebab  utama permasalahan  kegiatan pembelajaran selama ini baik yang terjadi pada mata pelajaran IPA di SMP dan mata pelajaran biologi di SMA  adalah  kegiatan praktikum yang dilaksanakan sebagai bagian dari pembelajaran tidak pernah diterapkan sebagai bagian dari tahapan  kegiatan pembuktian hipotesis, padahal tahapan ini  merupakan  salah satu tahapan  dalam sintaks model pembelajaran inkuiri.  Jadi permasalahan utama pembelajaran yang terjadi di sekolah adalah kegiatan pembuktian melalui  kegiatan praktikum dipisahkan sebagai bagian dari tahapan sintaks model pembelajaran inkuiri. Akibatnya pembelajaran yang terjadi selama ini tidak dapat memfasilitasi peningkatan kemampuan konseptual dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengembangankan perangkat model pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri (inqary based learning), untuk digunakan guru memfasilitasi peningkatan pemahaman konseptual dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada siswa. Metode penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan (research and development). Penelitian tahun pertama merupakan penelitian sebagai analisis kebutuhan  terkait permasalahan dan upaya guru mengatasi permasalahan terkait perangkat model pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri, yang merupakan tahapan pertama dalam penelitin pengembangan. Teknik analisis data untuk tahapan pertama analisis kebutuhan menggunakan analisis deskriptif melalui pengkategorisasian dan tabulasi serta diagram batang, selanjutnya didakan interpretasi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh permasalahan guru terkait perencanaan dan pelaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran terletak pada silabus, RPP, materi ajar, LKS, media pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Terkait upaya mengatasi permasalahan dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran model pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri  (inquary based learning) sangat kurang efektif karena belum melakukan upaya.Keywords:        Inquary based learning, kemampuan konseptual,  pemecahan masalah

Abstract

This development research aims: (1) determine the design of augmented reality media development to improve learning outcomes of integrated science learning outcomes for VIII grade students of SMPK Santo Fransiskus Assisi Samarinda, (2) determine the feasibility of developing augmented reality media on the excretion system (kidney) material of grade VIII students of SMPK Santo Fransiskus Assisi Samarinda, (3) to determine the effectiveness of the development of augmented reality media on the excretion system (kidney) material of grade VIII students of SMPK Santo Fransiskus Assisi Samarinda. This development research refers to the research steps of Dick & Carey's product development design. Product development in this research is designed with the following stages: (a) the analysis stage, (b) the planning and design development stage, (c) the design development and validation stage, (d) the design evaluation and revision stage, (e) the design stage preparation of improvement models, (f) product trial stage, (g) product evaluation and revision phase, (h) experimental trial stage. Product testing consists of alpha testing / validation conducted by material experts and media experts, as well as beta testing which is carried out in 2 stages, namely beta 1 / empirical test (small group trial). Data collection used interview guidelines, observation, questionnaires for material experts, and questionnaires for media experts, student response questionnaires, and test script instruments. This research produces teaching media that is packaged in the form of an application (apk.) which can be used on Android and iPhone. Based on the results of the extensive test, learning media that utilize Augmented Reality technology can improve student learning outcomes in class VIII, from the pre-test data, the experimental and control groups are not much different, so it can be assumed that students from both groups have homogeneous and comparable abilities, namely 57: 58,75 . But after being given the difference in teaching materials and the similarity of teaching in front of the class, the effect was significant, namely 85.1: 78.8. Whereas referring to the independent t test for equality output table in the equal section assumed the sig value is known. (2-tailed) is 0.010 <0.05, so as the basis for making independent t-test decisions it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted or there are differences in student learning outcomes given Augmented Reality media and not.

Abstract

The low understanding of concepts can be caused because the learning process is not maximized which makes students inactive, unable to think independently, more practical to find answers on the internet, and unable to express what they have learned. Digital School Books as a medium and learning model Survey, Question, Read, Reflection and Review (SQ4R) is an alternative that can activate students and make it easier to remember concepts so that learning is more meaningful. The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of the SQ4R learning model with digital school books on students' understanding of biology concepts in class VII at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nurussa'adah Sangkulirang Islamic Boarding School. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design. The study population was students of class VII, using cluster random sampling technique which produced class VII.B as the experimental class and class VII.A as the control class. The results of the data analysis showed that there was an influence of the SQ4R learning model with digital school books on the understanding of biology concepts for class VII students at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nurussa'adah Sangkulirang Islamic Boarding School.
