Abstract

Health workers in the midwife profession are at the forefront in maintaining the welfare and reproductive health of women so that midwives have a very important role, one of which is making the family planning program launched by the government a success. Of course midwives cannot work alone, midwives must collaborate with other related parties. Implementation of community service activities aims to carry out the duties of midwives in making family planning activities a success. The methods used are lectures and discussions as well as providing and installing long-term contraceptives, namely intrauterine devices and implants. Implementation of activities at the Community Health Center and for the results of knowledge and understanding related to welfare and maintaining women's reproductive health through family planning and the results of the provision and installation of long-term contraceptive devices, implants in the new installation category amounted to 30.91% and in the dismantling category amounted to 34.55%, while intrauterine contraceptives in the newly installed category were 18.18% and in the removable category were 16.36%. The conclusion that can be drawn is that midwives have carried out their role in the family planning program launched by the government. PUS has had a shift in thinking in planning family size to choose long-term contraceptives.

Abstract

Screening for breast cancer is finding people or groups of people who are detected as having disorders/abnormalities that may be Ca Mammary and then require a confirmation diagnosis. Screening is aimed at getting early mammary ca so that the treatment results are effective; so it will reduce the possibility of recurrence, reduce mortality and improve quality of life. Some actions for screening are Breast Self-Examination (BSE), Clinical Breast Examination (SADANIS), and Screening mammography. The method of implementing Community Service includes health education and Self-Breast Examination (BSE) for participants which is carried out at the Lumaring Village office AULA. This community service activity was carried out for 1 day. The results showed that 26 participants had high knowledge in practicing breast self-examination and 6 participants had moderate knowledge in practicing breast self-examination techniques. It is concluded that there is an influence of health education and breast self-examination (BSE) with increasing knowledge of women of childbearing age regarding breast self-examination.

Abstract

The community receives guidance and counseling about health and can develop a relationship with health initiatives, this can be designed in a higher education community with various activities that can contribute to community health. The purpose of PkM is to find out the knowledge of residents about cancer and to know Health through simple laboratory examinations through Preventive activities with education and Healthy Laboratory examinations in Sidomulyo Village RW 06 Kel. Bener, Tegalrejo District, Yogyakarta. The method used in the delivery is the lecture or counseling method to increase knowledge through pretests and posttests in measuring health status with general health examinations, and simple laboratory examinations. Residents of Sidomulyo Village, Bener Village, Tegalrejo District, Yogyakarta have never had counseling related to cancer in the past few years, and how much knowledge is not yet known. Based on this, it is necessary to hold counseling activities. Lecturers have the opportunity to carry out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in the form of Community Service (PkM). The results of the activity are the implementation of PkM activities and increased knowledge about cancer. In addition, from 27 residents who were examined, it was found that 30% had high uric acid levels, 11% had high random blood sugar levels, 37% had high uric acid levels and 90% had high cholesterol.
