Abstract

Implementing the Independent Curriculum launched by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia seeks to strengthen the quality of Indonesian education and prepare students to learn the material needed so that the world of work can directly absorb it. Vocational High School (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan/ SMK) is a secondary school that prepares students to be ready for work. Vocational students need to prepare provisions for the world of work. They must be able to make career decisions in line with the stage of career development, which is the exploration stage, to have a more directed career. This study examined the difficulties of career decision-making in vocational students and the role of school climate that will influence students' career decisions. The study was conducted on several vocational schools in Pangandaran Regency, one of the West Java areas with a high open unemployment rate. The respondents were class XII students with a sample of 180 people. The theoretical concepts used in this study are the School Climate (NSCC, 2015) and the Career Decision-Making Difficulties (Gati et al., 1996). The research design used is a non-experimental approach using linear regression analysis methods. The data collection technique is through online and written questionnaires with stratified and cluster sampling techniques. The results showed a positively significant influence of the school climate on the difficulty of making career decisions by 15.2%. That is, the more positive the perspective of grade 12 Vocational High School students on the school climate, the lower the level of difficulty in making career decisions, and vice versa.

Abstract

The worsening climate conditions in Indonesia has pushed numerous companies to transform themselves to become a green company that aims to preserve the environment through their daily operations. Through Social Exchange Theory, employee green behavior is found to increase employee self-satisfaction, which in turn will enhance their well-being. This research is done to examine the relationship between employee green behavior (EGB) and employee well-being (EWB) among one of green company employees. This quantitative, non-experimental research involved 104 employees from one of the green company. This research utilized the Employee Green Behavior questionnaire developed based on The Green Five Taxonomy to measure EGB, as well as the Employee Well-Being questionnaire to measure EWB. Both are self-report questionnaires. The results of this research indicate a significant positive relationship between employee green behavior (p=0.01, r=0.300) and employee well-being among employees. Additionally, the study also reveals significant differences in employee green behavior and employee well-being between gender groups. This suggests the need for more comprehensive research to further two related variables.

Abstract

Not a few mothers who work in a formal work environment decide to quit and start a new career and become entrepreneurs, which makes them part of the phenomenon often known as "mompreneur," which is a combination of her mother role and her chosen entrepreneurial role, which adequately illustrates the complexity of the responsibilities and roles that mothers play daily. With the enormous responsibility of being a mother and the center of the family, a mother's job satisfaction and psychological well-being as she goes about her day are very important. This study was conducted on 89 mompreneurs in Bandung City with a quantitative non-experimental approach through a written questionnaire conducted via small groups of mompreneurs. This study proved that job satisfaction significantly affects psychological well-being and found that job satisfaction is negatively related to marital status. In contrast, Psychological well-being is positively related to education. This study suggests that mompreneurs' socioeconomic situation does not significantly affect their job satisfaction and well-being. At the same time, most previous research focuses on the boarder concept of working mothers.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on various aspects of people's lives, including the tourism sector.
