Abstract

Purpose – This research aims to determine the feasibility of the Android-based "guizzer" application in mathematics learning for fifth grade elementary school. The lack of teacher innovation in the use of learning media, especially mathematics, makes students less enthusiastic. Therefore, researchers developed an Android-based Guizzer application to improve the quality of fifth grade elementary school mathematics learning.Method – This research uses Research and Development (R&D) research with the ADDIE development model including the Analyze, Design, Development, Implement and Evaluate stages. This research was carried out at Waturoyo State Elementary School with the research subject being class V. Data collection techniques used included observation, interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis used is in the form of validity.Findings – The research results show that the results of media validation by validator 1 were 78.3% and validator 2 were 85%, resulting in an average of 81.65% (very feasible). The results of material validation by validator 1 obtained a percentage of 83.3% and validator 2 of 81.7%, so an average of 82.5% was obtained (very feasible). The results of the trial, namely student responses, obtained a percentage of 97.1% (very feasible). It can be concluded that the "guizzer" application is very suitable for use in the learning process. Research Implications – Based on the research results, the Android application "Guizzer" is suitable for use in the fifth grade elementary school mathematics learning process. The implication is that students are interested and enthusiastic in the learning process, thereby making a positive contribution to achieving learning goals.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to develop the metaphorical snakes and ladders game media, how valid and practical the metaphorical snakes and ladders game media is and to find out how to improve students' thinking skills in using the metaphorical snakes and ladders metaphorical game media. The research method used is the development type which is a limited scale trial stage of Research and Development. The subjects studied were Class IV students at SDN 3 Bulungkulon. Data collection techniques use observation sheets, interviews, questionnaires, validation sheets, and thinking ability tests. The research results showed that 95% of the results of the validation questionnaire were valid, the student response questionnaire was 3.3, which means very good, and student learning outcomes increased by 13% after testing the metaphorical figurative snake and ladder game media. This shows that there is an increase in students' thinking skills after using the metaphorical figure of speech snake and ladder game media.Keyword: Snakes and Ladders Media, Metaphors, Thinking SkillsAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media permainan ular tangga majas metafora bagaimana kevalidan dan kepraktisan media permainan ular tangga majas metafora serta mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berfikir siswa dalam menggunakan media permainan ular tangga majas metafora. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu jenis pengembangan yang merupakan tahap uji coba skala terbatas dari Research and Development.. Subjek yang diteliti adalah siswa Kelas IV SDN 3 Bulungkulon. Tehnik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi, wawancara, angket, lembar validasi, dan tes kemampuana berfikir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 95% dari hasil angket validasi, angket respon peserta didik sebesar 3,3 yang berarti baik sekali dan hasil belajar siswa yang mengalami peningkatan sebesar 13% sesudah uji coba media permainan ulartangga majas metafora. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan keterampilan berfikir siswa setelah menggunakan media permainan ulartangga majas metafora.Kata Kunci: Media Ular Tangga, Majas Metafora, Keterampilan Befikir

Abstract

The transformation of 21st-century education requires teachers to not only master the subject matter but also be able to utilize digital technology in developing teaching materials and assessments that are relevant to the local context. This community service program aims to enhance the competencies of elementary school teachers in Bacin Village, Kudus District, in creating interactive teaching materials and assessments based on local wisdom literacy with the assistance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The activities were conducted offline using a participatory-collaborative approach through several stages: needs identification, training, mentoring, and evaluation. The training materials covered the use of AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Gamma AI, Canva AI, and Educaplay to develop interactive teaching materials and quizzes that highlight local cultural values such as Gusjigang, historical buildings, and Kudus's signature cuisine. The training results showed a significant improvement in teachers' understanding of local literacy and digital literacy concepts related to AI technology use. The average improvement in understanding reached 80%. The products produced include simple teaching materials (e-modules and handouts) and digital assessments (Educaplay). Additionally, survey results indicate that 100% of participants recognize the importance of integrating local cultural values into learning. This training demonstrates that the integration of AI and local wisdom can empower teachers to become adaptive and contextual learning facilitators.

Abstract

Era digitalisasi telah berpengaruh pada beberapa sektor, salah satunya pada sektor Pendidikan. Salah satu inovasi yang perlu dikembangkan dalam dunia Pendidikan adalah mengintegrasikan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi mobile menjadi salah satu inovasi yang perlu dikembangkan. Media PELUKUS (Pembelajaran Volume Kudus) merupakan media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi android yang dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa efektiv media pembelajaran PELUKUS terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kuantitatif, jenis Pre-Experimental dengan one-group pretest-posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Nalumsari. Sample dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 18 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sample dalam penelitian ini yaitu sampling jenuh. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu soal pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji paired sample t test & uji n-gain untuk melihat tafsiran efektivitas media PELUKUS terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis sebelum dan sesudah diterapkannnya media PELUKUS secara signifikan berdasarkan uji Paired Sample t test. Berdasarkan uji N Gain yang dilakukan ditunjukkan adanya peningkatan antara rata-rata skor pretest dan posttest sebesar 0,58 pada kategori sedang. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan media PELUKUS cukup efektiv dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Mathematical problem-solving ability is an important ability for students to master, but it is often not facilitated due to the lack of use of adequate teaching materials and learning models. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of SMART-KU local wisdom-based module in Problem-Based Learning on students' mathematical problem-solving ability. Using a quantitative method of quasi-experimental design, which specifically takes a non-equivalent control group design, with a total sample of 32 fifth-grade students of SDN 1 Mijen in the experimental class and control class, and data analysis through paired sample t-test, independent sample t-test, and N-Gain score test. The results showed that: (1) through paired sample t-test, there is a significant average difference in students' mathematical problem solving ability before and after treatment, both in experimental (Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 (≤ 0.05)) and control classes (Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 (≤ 0.05)), (2) through independent t-test, there is a significant average difference in students' mathematical problem solving ability between experimental and control classes (Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 (≤ 0.05)), and (3) through N-Gain test, students' mathematical problem solving ability in experimental classes (0.87) improved better than students in control classes (0.68). It can be concluded that the SMART-KU module based on local wisdom in PBL effectively improves students' mathematical problem-solving ability. This research contributes to alternative learning to improve students' mathematical problem-solving ability, which combines local wisdom-based teaching materials and contextual and meaningful learning models.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine social interaction among lower-grade students at SDN Patikidul 01. The research employed a qualitative narrative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The subjects consisted of six students selected from a total of 32 students in Class I.C, along with the classroom teacher. The results indicated that students’ social interaction skills were generally in the good category, as they were able to interact effectively with peers and teachers. Among the students who initially exhibited introverted tendencies, two out of three showed improvement in their social interactions after the teacher implemented a seating arrangement strategy. The findings suggest that social interaction skills are influenced not only by internal factors but also by external factors such as the learning environment. In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of supportive classroom strategies in enhancing students’ social interaction skills. The results can serve as a reference for teachers in developing effective approaches to improve social interaction among lower-grade elementary students.

Abstract

Papan penjumlahan dan pengurangan atau bisa disebut dengan PANJURANG adalah sejenis papan yang mengajarkan kepada siswa bagaimana menerapkan ide penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan. Motivasi di balik kajian ini adalah untuk menumbuhkan sebuah alat bantu peraga instruktif sebagai papan pemuaian dan pengurangan, yang disebut "PANJURANG", untuk Aritmatika dalam percakapan pemuaian dan pengurangan logaritma bilangan bulat untuk kelas 1 di SD 1 Prambata Kidul, wilayah Kudus. Ujian ini menggunakan teknik Research and Development (Innovative work) dengan model advance mengacu pada improvement model oleh Borg and Nerve yang telah diubah, ada 9 langkah menuju pelaksanaan metodologi kerja inovatif, yaitu: ( 1) Potensial permasalahan, 2) Pengumpulan data, 3) Desain produk, 4) Validasi desain, 5) Revisi desain, 6) Uji coba produk, 7) Revisi, 8) Uji coba penggunaan, 9) Revisi produk Siswa kelas 1 SD 1 Prambatan Kidul, Kabupaten Kudus, menjadi subjek penelitian ini yang dirancang untuk membantu siswa memahami konsep penjumlahan dan pengurangan melalui sarana visual dan interaktif. Prosedur pemilahan informasi diperoleh melalui tes dan persepsi yang disusundigunakan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas alat peraga serta menilai respons dan tanggapan siswa terhadap penggunaannya. Hasil analisis awal pengembangan media PANJURANG dengan berbagai revisi sehingga mendapatkan validasi Ahli media dengan skor 80 rerata 5 dengan kategori “sangat baik”. Peneliti kemudian mengukur perbandingan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan one-group pretest-posttest design. Nilai rata-rata siswa pada pre-test adalah 47,5, dan nilai rata-rata pada post-test setelah siswa menggunakan media PANJURANG adalah 81,8, menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar sebesar 72 persen. Hasilnya, hasil belajar matematika kelas 1 SD 1 Prambatan Kidul meningkat berkat penggunaan media PANJURANG yang layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran matematika. Kata kunci : alat peraga matematika, aljabar, kelas 1 sekolah dasar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas IV di SD 4 Prambatan Lor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas IV SD 4 Prambatan Lor berjumlah 14 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest, observasi kelas, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu Uji Paired Sample t-test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh Nilai signifikansi 0,05 yaitu 0,000 0,05. Maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan rata-rata keterampilan berbicara sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan model pembelajaran CTL. Terdapat peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas IV sesudah diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran CTL. Berdasarkan uji N-Gain diperoleh nilai 0,2633 termasuk kategori rendah.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru SLB dalam menerapkan teknik expressive writing berbasis model handwriting sebagai pendekatan pengembangan motorik halus. Metode yang digunakan adalah partisipatif-kolaboratif melalui ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab, serta praktik langsung. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada dengan melibatkan 32 guru SLB di Purwosari, Kabupaten Kudus. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan workshop menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap konsep expressive writing serta penerapannya dalam pembelajaran. Integrasi teknik menulis ekspresif dengan model handwriting dapat memberikan stimulus efektif terhadap koordinasi motorik halus siswa melalui aktivitas menulis yang bermakna dan bertahap. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa peserta kegiatan memberikan respons yang sangat positif. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini dapat dinyatakan berhasil meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam merancang pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif, adaptif, dan berpusat pada kebutuhan siswa, serta berkontribusi pada pengembangan motorik halus secara optimal.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematical problem-solving ability of students caused by the lack of learning activities and teacher-centered learning. This study aims to determine the effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning model assisted by PANZAT media on the mathematical problem-solving ability of elementary school students and examine the role of learning activities in supporting these abilities. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design of one group pretest-posttest. The subjects of the study were 42 second-grade students of SD Negeri 5 Ngabul. Data collection techniques used interviews, observations, and tests, while data analysis included normality tests, paired sample t-tests, and simple regression tests. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. In addition, learning activities had a positive and significant effect on mathematical problem-solving ability with a correlation coefficient of 0.788 and a determination coefficient of 0.622. Thus, RME learning assisted by PANZAT media has a positive effect on students' learning activities and mathematical problem-solving abilities
