Abstract

Planting media is an important factor affecting coffee nurseries. Farmers in Wanagiri Village have problems in coffee cultivation because they have soil with a slightly acidic pH. This affects the availability of phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) in the soil. P and potassium K solubilizing fungi can be used to increase the availability of P and K in the soil. This study aimed to analyze the viability of Aspergillus costaricaensis fungi on coffee husk carriers and the effect of A. costaricaensis biofertilizer on planting medium and the growth of Arabica coffee seedlings. The method consisted of the preparation carrier material, viability test of A. costaricaensis on coffee husk carrier, and test of the effect of A. costaricaensis on the planting medium and growth of arabica coffee seedlings. There were four fertilization treatments, i.e., P1 (organic fertilizer), P2 (100% NPK), P3 (organic fertilizer + biofertilizer), and P4 (organic fertilizer + biofertilizer + 50% NPK). Coffee husk carrier material maintained the viability of A. costaricaensis during the nine weeks of storage. The number of populations that could be maintained was log 7.67 (4.7 x 107 CFU g-1). The application of biofertilizer combined with organic fertilizers (P3) increased soil pH to 7.13, and it could potentially reduce the use of NPK fertilizer. Based on the observed growth parameters, it was shown that the treatment of biofertilizers combined with organic fertilizers increased the growth parameters of plant height and stem circumference of Arabica coffee seedlings.

Abstract

Agricultural waste that is wasted is basically organic material that contains nutrients needed by plants. As a result, farmers need more fertilizer to increase production, on the other hand, farmers throw away fertilizer raw materials that are beneficial for soil fertility and health. The limited knowledge of farmers regarding the macro and micro nutrient content of agricultural waste causes the waste to be disposed of and burned. Generally, farmers also do not know the method of composting agricultural waste, especially rice straw waste. This condition also occurs in the Subak Telun Ayah area, Tegalalang, Gianyar. In order to overcome farmers' problems, counseling or socialization related to waste content and processing efforts through composting is carried out. Farmers are given knowledge related to composting agricultural waste quickly, easily and to produce quality compost by utilizing natural decomposers (such as animal manure and fertile soil). Farmers are also given knowledge regarding the benefits of compost from agricultural waste for soil fertility. The hope is that farmers have knowledge related to agricultural waste management and are able to use it, so that in the future they are able to realize environmentally friendly agriculture Keywords: socialization, agricultural waste, waste management, soil fertility, Subak

Abstract

Partners in this service are Prajuru Subak Umalambing, which involves organic and non-organic farmers in Subak Umalambing Sibangkaja Ecotourism. The partner's problems are the developed Subak Lambing ecotourism has not been able to implement state law and local law (adat law, awig-awig, and perarem) as part of legal certainty. Objectives: First, to provide legal awareness of ecotourism and organic farming-based culture with the expectation that the law has a cultural meaning in managing ecotourism; second, the potential of Subak Umalambing as ecotourism organic farming requires synergy between Kelian Subak and the Astungkara Way Foundation in managing small tradition-based agriculture (farmers) that can provide added value to farmers. Third, Subak Umalambing Ecotourism in a "redesign" manner and public health needs continuous education and state intervention, especially village government Sibangkaja, to design sustainable ecotourism with the protection of state law

Abstract

The community service program implemented in Asah Duren Village, Pekutatan District, Jembrana-Bali Regency aims to improve farmers' knowledge and skills in plantation litter management. Another goal is to invite farmers to start utilizing litter and processing it into compost to meet fertilizer needs. The methods used in the service program are observation, socialization, and demonstration. Based on observations, farmers in Asah Duren Village have not used litter, because they still view litter as waste material and have no benefits. Farmers after receiving socialization and training on litter utilization through the plot demonstration method have a desire to process litter into compost. Farmers also want to start using litter compost to reduce the use of inorganic fertilizers. Farmers' interest in utilizing litter compost is also increasing because the price of inorganic fertilizers is increasing

Abstract

The community service carried out in Sanur Kauh Village, Denpasar-Bali aims to increase the knowledge and skills of village youth in managing household waste and utilizing it in eco-enzymes. Youth involvement in waste sorting at the household level is still low, the evidence being that only 7% of youth are regularly involved in waste sorting. The youth argued that waste management in the household was already carried out by parents. 2 young people had attended eco-making training but had never put it into practice because they had only attended the training once. Eco-enzyme production from fruit and vegetable waste, apart from being able to reduce the volume of waste, also produces products of economic value. One of the eco-enzymes can be used as an air freshener.

Abstract

Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum sp.) is an ornamental flower commodity that has high economic potential value. Based on the results of initial visits and discussions with the community, it is known that the problems that farmers complain about most are seed procurement problems and leaf rust problems. The aim of this research is to increase the added value of farmers, using extension and training methods. The solutions that will be implemented regarding the problems faced by Farmer Groups are, (1) Increasing knowledge of plant propagation techniques through good and correct seeds and (2) Increasing knowledge about how to control leaf rust disease.
