Abstract

Perkembangan pendidikan menuntut sekolah tidak hanya fokus pada akademik, tetapi juga pembentukan karakter, keterampilan sosial, dan kesiapan karier siswa. Layanan bimbingan dan konseling (BK) memiliki peran strategis dalam membantu siswa mengenali potensi diri, memahami lingkungan sosial, serta mengambil keputusan tepat bagi masa depan, namun pemanfaatannya di MAN 2 Karawang belum optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap guru BK dan peserta didik. Analisis data dilakukan secara interaktif melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan, serta divalidasi menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa layanan BK di MAN 2 Karawang dilaksanakan melalui bimbingan kelompok, konseling individu, dan kegiatan kolaboratif antar guru. Guru BK berperan sebagai fasilitator dalam menanamkan nilai toleransi, empati, dan keterbukaan. Kegiatan ini efektif meningkatkan kesadaran siswa terhadap perbedaan, membentuk karakter positif, dan mendukung perencanaan karier. Implementasi layanan BK berkontribusi nyata terhadap pengembangan karakter, kemampuan sosial, dan kesiapan karier siswa, meskipun masih diperlukan peningkatan kompetensi guru dan sarana pendukung agar layanan lebih optimal.

Abstract

Studi ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mengkaji pelaksanaan dari layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling. (BK) di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 1 Karawang dari perspektif guru Bimbingan Konseling dan siswa. Metode riset ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif, dengan cara pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui pengamatan langsung serta wawancara setengah strterhadap satu orang guru BK dan dua orang siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Layanan BK telah diimplementasikan secara terstruktur meliputi bimbingan klasikal, kelompok, konseling individu, dan asesmen; (2) Fokus utama layanan adalah konsultasi karier dan perencanaan studi lanjut, sesuai dengan kebutuhan mayoritas siswa yang berencana melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi; (3) Kolaborasi antara guru BK, wali kelas, guru mata pelajaran, dan orang tua menjadi faktor pendukung utama; (4) Tantangan utama meliputi keterbatasan SDM guru BK yang hanya berjumlah satu orang untuk melayani seluruh siswa, serta masih adanya stigma di kalangan siswa bahwa BK hanya untuk siswa bermasalah. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya penambahan guru BK dan sosialisasi berkelanjutan tentang peran BK yang sesungguhnya.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the reality of implementing Guidance and Counseling (GC) services at SMAN 1 Lemahabang, covering the types of services, their conformity with national standards, and the supporting and inhibiting factors. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach through observation and interviews with the counseling teacher and three twelfth-grade students. The results show that the GC services at SMAN 1 Lemahabang cover four main areas personal, social, learning, and career, and are in line with the Ministry of Education Regulation No. 111 of 2014. Supporting factors include strong support from the principal, teacher collaboration, and active student participation. However, the main obstacle lies in the limited number of counselors, with one teacher serving approximately 545 students, resulting in less optimal individual guidance. Nevertheless, the counselor optimizes services through group approaches, cooperation with Islamic Education teachers in character development, and the use of online communication media. The study emphasizes the need to increase the number of counselors and strengthen collaborative systems to make GC services more effective and responsive to students’ needs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how guidance and counseling services are implemented at SMA 1 Kedungwaringin to address student behavior influenced by family economic circumstances. A qualitative approach using a descriptive case study design is the methodology employed. Guidance and counseling teachers and two ninth-grade students who struggle with conduct because of financial strains in their families make up the research subjects. Sugiyono's interactive analysis methodology, which comprises data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, was used to examine the data that were gathered through documentation, in-depth interviews, and observation. The study's findings demonstrate that preventive and curative strategies, such as individual and group counseling, traditional services, and home visits, are used to provide advice and counseling services. This service's introduction has been shown to be successful in assisting students in coping with financial strains, boosting their drive to learn, and encouraging virtues like self-control, discipline, and responsibility. According to the study's findings, guidance and counseling services are crucial in helping students develop their moral fiber and mental toughness in the face of financial constraints in their families
