Abstract

A pharmacy, aside from being a pharmaceutical care provider is also a functioning business. Thus, in the scope of business, pharmacy performance can be analysed using liquidity, activity, and profitability ratios. This study aimed to determine the performance of Pharmacy X based on a financial perspective before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a descriptive cross-sectional study that employed data obtained from sales and purchase records. The data were analysed using financial ratio analysis methods, including liquidity, activity, and profitability ratios. This study was conducted at Pharmacy X based on the amount of prescription and non-prescription income from before the COVID-19 pandemic (in 2019) and during the pandemic (in 2020). The results showed that Pharmacy X was not good at managing its current assets and current liabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the results for the ratios of total asset turnover and fixed asset turnover, asset utilisation was less efficient. Analysis of the probability ratios and net profit margin showed a decrease in Pharmacy X’s profit during the pandemic. The Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Return on Investment (ROI) values indicated that the business was less able to generate profits and net income from its invested capital.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which by only using a few new antibiotics, can kill the bacteria. Tuberculosis treatment has several stages, namely intensive and advanced stages. Compliance with the use of OAT is an imported factor in the success of TB treatment. The use of many drugs can cause side effects that result in patients stopping treatment when it creates the TB treatment process to fail. Improved adherence can do by using a fixed-dose combination OAT. In the intensive phase, the patient will get a fixed-dose combination containing a mixture of four antibiotics. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the potential side effects that occur during fixed-dose combination OAT treatment at an intensive stage and see the level of compliance of patients taking TB drugs. Observational sampling in TB patients was taking OAT at an acute stage by looking at side effects that arise during treatment and then analyzed using statistics and algorithm Naranjo. The results showed the most common potential side effects for fixed-dose combination OAT in the intensive stage were itching, headache and nausea with a percentage of 72% each, joint pain 45%, stomach pain 36.4%, lack of appetite and rashes 27.3% each and reddish color in the urine 18.2%. The results of the analysis using Naranjo logarithm obtained results eight, which means the side effects might cause due to the use of the drug. The results of patient compliance achieved a 100% compliance rate

Abstract

Health-related issues are one of the most pressing needs of society. Indonesia has government-run health insurance that is directly under its control. When patients obtain services that are considered appropriate or above expectations, patient satisfaction is achieved. This research uses a survey research approach and is descriptive. Surveys distributed to respondents were used to collect data. Eighty respondents who met the inclusion requirements were sampled. The data used is primary data, information obtained directly from respondents, with data collection methods such as providing questionnaires, which are filled in by the respondents themselves and sent back to the researcher. The findings of the study, which were based on SPSS patient characteristics analysis, showed that females accounted for the most significant percentage of respondents (43), followed by the 46-55 years age group (32.5%) and housewives (27.5%), (n=26; 32.5%) had the highest hypertension diagnosis on SPSS analysis, while (n=18; 69%) had the highest drug name of amlodipine. The results, according to the Servqual model, showed that the guarantee dimension had the largest average of 98%(Assurance), while the responsiveness dimension had the lowest average of 92% (waiting time).
