Abstract

This study focuses on the ergonomics of work posture during the packing process at Toko Bahan Kue Berkah Jaya, a bakery ingredient store located in Bekasi, Indonesia. The subject of the study is a worker with a height of 173 cm who performs tasks at a packing station with a table height of 80 cm. Observations indicate that the worker adopts a bent posture with a back angle of 25°, suggesting an ergonomic mismatch between the worker’s posture and the workstation setup. This misalignment poses a potential risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).The objective of this study is to analyze the worker’s posture during the packing process and provide ergonomic recommendations for improving workstation design. The methodology involves collecting primary data through direct observation and video documentation, followed by the application of the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method to evaluate posture risk. The REBA score is analyzed to determine the ergonomic risks associated with the current setup.The findings highlight that the current workstation height leads to poor posture, increasing the risk of MSDs. By increasing the table height to 95-100 cm and ensuring optimal material placement within arm's reach, the ergonomic risk score is significantly reduced. The proposed improvements show a notable decrease in posture risk, with REBA scores shifting from a high-risk to a controlled category. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of ergonomic intervention in promoting better work posture and reducing musculoskeletal risk factors.

Abstract

Steam Autobilaz Car Wash & Detailing is located at Jl. Cemara Raya, Jakasampurna, District. West Bekasi, is a company engaged in car washing services with the main service of cleaning cars using robotic steam technology. Robotic car wash is a modern car wash concept with advanced technology. An automated system that uses robots to clean vehicles. Employee activities and performance in the operational process of car washing using steam robot technology greatly influence the time required to manufacture a product or perform a service. In operating the car wash at Steam Otobilaz, it was found that the working time required to wash each car was not optimal. This can be seen from the uncertainty of time in the cleaning process which causes an increase in service time per car and results in a decrease in labor efficiency. So the aim of this research is to study how to calculate standard time based on stopwatch time (stopwatch time study) in the Robotic Car Wash business. The author conducted standard time research directly using the Stop Clock method and to find out how long it takes to complete one manufacturing cycle in Robotic Car Wash operations. Stopwatches are included in the category of working time measurement methods that are directly applied to short, repetitive work. Based on this method, standard time is obtained to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes. The analysis results show that robot car wash technology is able to reduce operational duration significantly with a standard time of 26.67 minutes, this could be a proposed improvement for the company.

Abstract

In this study, a descriptive qualitative approach was applied to analyze the condition of the warung managed by Mr. Sutino. The research process includes project exploration, information gathering through relevant questions, and analysis of the data that has been obtained. The findings showed an increase in optimal production for bakso and chicken noodle, with an additional profit of Rp 8,318,200 every week. This result emphasizes the need to increase production capacity for both food items. In the business realm, the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) sector in Indonesia has a substantial influence. The application of integer programming as a linear programming method serves to optimize production by considering integer variables. In addition, the graphical method is used to reduce production costs by minimizing expenses for material management. This research methodology includes data collection through observation, analyzing the impact of stalls on food production and distribution, developing mathematical models, and evaluating the impact of the resulting models. This research is expected to provide valuable insights for the development of business strategies in the SME sector and become a reference for further research in similar fields.(Paduloh, Yunita, and Purba 2020)

Abstract

This research aims to implement the Simplex method in order to optimize profits in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the culinary sector. Culinary often face challenges in managing limited resources, such as raw materials, labor and production time, which can affect their profit potential. The Simplex Method, which is a technique in linear programming for solving optimization problems, is applied to determine the best combination of resource use and production allocation to maximize profits. This research involves analysis of relevant production and cost data, as well as the formulation of the problem as a linear program. The research results show that the application of the Simplex method can provide an optimal solution in allocating resources to maximize profits by considering existing limitations. Apart from that, this research also provides strategy recommendations to improve operational efficiency and culinary competitiveness of MSMEs. Thus, the Simplex method has proven to be effective as a decision making tool for culinary MSME managers to achieve more optimal and sustainable results.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze employee workload at Mie Gacoan using the Allowance and Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) methods in order to maintain work productivity and efficiency. Data collection was conducted through direct observation on site, involving three main divisions: cashiers, chefs, and waiters. The results showed that the allowance values for cashiers, chefs, and waiters were 34.5%, 35%, and 33%, respectively. FTE calculations revealed that cashiers had a value of 0.93 (underload category), while chefs and waiters had values of 1.09 and 1.16 (normal category), respectively. These findings emphasize the importance of optimizing allowance and FTE values to achieve a balance between operational efficiency, employee job satisfaction, and customer service quality. This optimization is expected to reduce work fatigue, increase productivity, and maintain operational cost efficiency.

Abstract

The main challenge in tofu production is the rising cost of soybean raw materials, which impacts efficiency and profitability. A quantitative approach was employed to develop a mathematical model based on Linear Programming, incorporating variables such as raw material availability, production capacity, and market demand. The model was solved using POM-QM Software. The analysis revealed that the optimal daily production for maximum profit of IDR 178,000 can be achieved with 2.55 cycles of white tofu production and 3.27 cycles of yellow tofu production per day. These findings highlight the importance of applying optimization methods to enhance efficiency and profitability.

Abstract

Bakpau, derived from the word Baozi. The word Bao means “wrap”, Zi which refers to the word round. Baozi literally means “round wrapper”. It is a soft and delicious food, invented by an important Chinese figure named Zhuge Liang in 220-280 AD, and popularized during the Tang dynasty (618-907 AD) in China. Bakpao is one of China's favorite foods, served as a snack, breakfast, or even a main meal on some occasions. The common filling for buns is pork, however, in Indonesia where the majority of Muslims do not consume pork, the filling of buns has become more varied, such as chicken, beef, chocolate, green beans, and various fruits. Bakpao raw materials such as flour, yeast, sugar, salt, eggs, margarine, and others are a problem; if one of these ingredients is not fulfilled, Bakpao production can be hampered. Therefore, it is important to know what factors can hinder production.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the profit of meat sales at PT Hijrahfood through the application of linear programming method. Since its establishment in 1992, PT Hijrahfood as a meat distributor has faced significant challenges in increasing profitability amid increasingly fierce competition. With the increasing demand for quality meat products, the company needs to design effective strategies in managing production and sales. In this study, we developed a mathematical model to analyze the relationship between various variables that affect profits, such as production costs and selling prices. The graphical method is used to visualize the objective function as well as the constraints, enabling the discovery of the optimal solution. It is hoped that the results of this study can provide in-depth insight into better management strategies, as well as improve the efficiency and profitability of PT Hijrahfood. Thus, this research is not only relevant for PT Hijrahfood, but is also expected to make a meaningful contribution to the meat distribution industry as a whole.

Abstract

The Warm Bread Factory business is a major community business in economic activities in Indonesia. Especially the food industry has a very positive development and contributes greatly to national economic growth. Bread is an alternative ready-to-eat food that is quite attractive to the public because it is available in a wide selection of flavors, practical presentation, and can be enjoyed from children to the elderly. The increasing number of bread producers will have implications for the higher level of competition among bread companies. This high competition is one of the factors for the Warm Bread Business to carry out business development. This research aims to optimize production planning using Linear Programming method. This case study is applied to the production of three types of bread, namely chocolate, cheese, and mung bean bread, with the aim of maximizing profits while complying with resource constraints such as raw materials, production time, and machine capacity. Thus, the use of this method can assist the Roti Hangat Keliling Factory in planning production more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Dalam era digital, otomatisasi penghitungan barang menjadi krusial untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi dalam pengelolaan inventaris, terutama di industri dengan volume barang besar, di mana kesalahan dalam penghitungan sering terjadi Sistem sensor otomatis untuk penghitung barang berbasis Arduino dan Thingspeak pada penelitian ini dibuat dengan rangkaian metode prototype yang terstruktur dan sistematis. Tahapan awal pembuatan alat sensor dimulai dengan studi literatur pengenalan Arduino, NodeMCU ESP8266, perakitan dan penulisan Coding program, pengujian, implementasi dan penulisan laporan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa alat penghitung barang bekerja dengan baik dalam melakukan proses penghitungan barang. Diharapkan bahwa alat penghitung barang berbasis Arduino dan ThingSpeak dapat membantu proses pencatatan produksi serta membantu pengawas melihat target prosuksi secara real-time melalui website pemantauan.
