Abstract

Improving shipping cost efficiency is a significant issue in the distribution of sports shoes at the wholesale level, such as Pak Sumitro in Bekasi. Sports shoes are supplied from Cikarang, Cibitung, and Karawang, stored in Kranji, Jati Waringin, and Jatiwarni warehouses, and distributed to Sumarecon Mall, Pondok Gede Mall, and Kalimalang Mall using pick-up trucks. The Northwest Corner (NWC) transportation model is used to optimize shipping costs. The initial step is to determine the shipping cost from the warehouse to the mall, the total collected is in the warehouse as well as the demands for sports shoes in each mall. The calculation of the cost of shipping sports shoes from three warehouses to three malls using the NWC model shows a cost of IDR 167,500. However, with the Stepping Stone method, the optimal solution shows transportation costs to be IDR 147,500, thus saving shipping costs of IDR 20,000. This research succeeded in finding a solution to optimize the shipping costs of sports shoes, providing economic benefits for traders like Pak Sumitro.

Abstract

Medicines are important products in maintaining human health. The need for medicines will continue to increase along with population growth and lifestyle changes. Therefore, pharmacies need to forecast drug sales to ensure adequate drug availability and avoid excess or shortage of stock. This research aims to apply the Exponential Smoothing method in predicting drug sales in pharmacies using RStudio drug sales software which uses historical data on drug sales during a certain period. The results of this research indicate that the Triple Exponential Smoothing method is the best method to use because it has results with an SSE value of 3,508.75, when compared with the Single Exponential Smoothing and Double Exponential Smoothing methods with a value of 10,306.39

Abstract

Bread is a food that is very popular with Indonesian people because it is very high in fiber, making people who consume it feel full for a long time and eat small portions. Forecasting is the process of compiling previous information to obtain new information. This research uses Single and Double Exponential Smoothing forecasting methods with a case study, namely bread. A comparison will be made between these two methods to find out the best method for forecasting. The results of this research show that the Single Exponential Smoothing method is the best to use because it has results with an SSE of 7,116,359,819, when compared with Double Exponential Smoothing of 7,469,741,265.

Abstract

The Solo Sweet Tea iced drink business, which has been operating since 2019, aims to provide more job opportunities for the community. This study collects information about the business through observation methods. The research results show that Iced Teh Manis Solo focuses on selling drinks without providing complementary foods. The main product is tea with various flavors that have a strong aroma and sweet taste. The findings of this study reveal that every day Solo Sweet Tea ice requires 75 tea bags, 15 liters of water, 1500 grams of sugar, and 20 kg of ice cubes, which can vary according to customer demand. By applying managerial economic principles, Es Teh Manis Solo can optimize operations and develop its business. For example, they can increase sales through the right marketing strategies and reduce production costs by optimizing the supply chain. Apart from that, the application of risk management can also help these companies overcome challenges such as fluctuating raw material prices and increasingly fierce competition in the beverage market.

Abstract

Barokah Rice Store is one of the famous rice stores in Cileungsi, West Java. This store has many customers and the demand for rice continues to increase. The issue Barokah Rice Store is facing is the imbalance between the market's supply and demand for rice. Forecasting is necessary for effective and successful planning. Because of this, forecasting techniques are essential for making future event predictions. Sales data on rice was obtained from Barokah Rice Store for the 2020–2024 period. This method basically uses past data that has been exponentially weighted against earlier or newer observation values to smooth it. Brown developed Brown's double exponential smoothing, a linear model. This double exponential smoothing method is used when the data shows a trend. As per the findings of this investigation, the most precise α parameter for forecasting the number of rice sales at Toko Barokah Rice. Additionally, every month since 2022, the Barokah Rice Store's projected results for rice sales have declined.

Abstract

Kebakaran merupakan salah satu risiko utama yang dapat menyebabkan kerugian besar pada fasilitas penyimpanan seperti gudang. Penelitian ini menggunakan platform Blynk IoT, sensor api, buzzer, dan NodeMCU ESP8266 yang bertujuan untuk membuat sistem deteksi api atau kebakaran berbasis Internet of Things. Sistem ini dirancang untuk memberikan notifikasi dini dalam bentuk peringatan suara serta tampilan digital yang dapat diakses dari jarak jauh, sehingga risiko kerugian akibat kebakaran dapat diminimalkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengembangan sistem adalah kerangka kerja pengembangan sistem yang sistematis, yaitu System Development Life Cycle. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan beroperasi sebagaimana mestinya. Namun, pengujian sensor api menunjukkan bahwa jangkauan deteksi maksimalnya adalah 57 cm saat diuji menggunakan korek gas dan 50 cm saat diuji menggunakan api lilin. Temuan ini menjadi masukan untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam meningkatkan sensitivitas dan jangkauan sensor. Sistem ini diharapkan mampu menjadi solusi praktis dan efisien dalam meningkatkan keselamatan pada fasilitas penyimpanan.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi membuat karyawan lebih mudah untuk absen. RFID adalah solusi baru yang menggantikan metode tradisional yang manipulatif dan lambat. RFID memungkinkan data disimpan dalam basis data yang terstruktur dan aman serta mengurangi penggunaan kertas. Teknologi ini memungkinkan identifikasi cepat dengan menggunakan tag dan pembaca yang unik, mempercepat proses absensi, mengurangi biaya, dan meningkatkan efisiensi pengumpulan data karyawan. Penelitian mengenai sistem absensi RFID menggunakan metode kuantitatif, kualitatif, dan kualitatif. Metode kualitatif menggunakan observasi, analisis data, dan wawancara untuk memahami kebutuhan bisnis. Metode kuantitatif evaluasi sistem dengan analisis statistik terhadap data yang hilang. Metode campuran mengintegrasikan keduanya untuk memahami kebutuhan bisnis dan menilai efektivitas sistem yang telah dibangun. sistem absensi RFID pada awalnya dikodekan pada arduino hingga terjadi error, kemudian NodeMCU dihubungkan ke WiFi melalui serial monitor. Setelah verifikasi dan pengunggahan, aktifkan XAMPP untuk mengakses web dengan Chrome. Masukkan nama, alamat, dan scan RFID karyawan untuk melakukan registrasi. Scan absen dapat dilakukan pada saat masuk, istirahat, kembali, dan pulang. Setelah melakukan penelitian, analisis, dan Penilaian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem otomasi gudang berbasis Internet of Thoughts dengan memanfaatkan RFID reader dan mikrokontroler NodeMCU ESP8266 ini dapat beroperasi dengan efektif karena setiap komponen berfungsi sesuai dengan yang diharapkan.

Abstract

The research discusses the design of an automatic door system for warehouses based on Arduino microcontroller, utilizing infrared (IR) sensors. The aim of this study is to enhance operational efficiency in managing the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. The system is designed to automatically open and close doors when detecting objects, reducing manual intervention and increasing security and access speed. The research methodology includes hardware experimentation and a prototyping approach, allowing for comprehensive testing and evaluation of the system. In the development phase, components such as IR sensors, servo motors, and Arduino microcontrollers are integrated to form an interconnected system. Test results indicate that the system operates effectively, accurately detects objects, and responds quickly. This automatic door not only boosts productivity but also helps maintain the environmental conditions of the warehouse, such as temperature and cleanliness. Therefore, this research significantly contributes to the application of automation technology in industry, particularly in warehouse management.

Abstract

Efisiensi operasional di gudang menjadi salah satu faktor kunci untuk mendukung kelancaran rantai pasokan. Teknologi modern semakin berkembang untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut, salah satunya adalah penerapan sistem otomasi, seperti sistem penerangan otomatis dan penghitung pengunjung otomatis. Penelitian sistem pencahayaan otomatis berbasis Arduino Uno dan proyek penghitung pengunjung otomatis di gudang dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan eksperimental. Metode ini bertujuan untuk merancang, mengimplementasikan dan menguji sistem yang mampu mengoptimalkan efisiensi energi dan memantau jumlah orang di area gudang. Sistem penerangan otomatis dan penghitung pengunjung otomatis pada gudang dapat diimplementasikan dengan menggunakan Arduino Uno sebagai pengontrol utama. Untuk sistem penerangan otomatis, komponen yang digunakan antara lain sensor gerak PIR, Arduino Uno, relay untuk mengontrol lampu, dan lampu LED atau lampu listrik biasa. Sistem pencahayaan otomatis dan penghitung pengunjung otomatis berbasis Arduino Uno menunjukkan hasil yang memenuhi tujuan. Sistem ini mampu: Mengoptimalkan efisiensi energi dengan mengontrol pencahayaan secara otomatis berdasarkan keberadaan manusia, menyediakan data akurat jumlah pengunjung yang masuk dan keluar gudang, berbagai sensor seperti PIR untuk pendeteksi gerakan, sensor infra merah untuk loket pengunjung, dan relay untuk kontrol cahaya yang efektif.

Abstract

The textile industry in Indonesia plays a crucial role in the economy; however, operational challenges such as demand fluctuations and resource limitations often hinder production efficiency. This study aims to optimize the production of woven fabrics in a textile company using Linear Programming (LP) methods, specifically the Simplex model, to maximize profit and allocate resources optimally. The study focuses on production capacity allocation issues, such as limited spindle and loom hours. By applying LP, the research hopes to find an efficient solution in managing the production of two types of fabrics, namely T/C and 100% Cotton, while considering raw material limitations and available machine hours. The study uses data from PT. Argo Pantes in Tangerang, which produces woven fabrics with different profit margins/ Unit. In the Simplex method, slack variables are added to convert inequalities into equations, enabling the search for optimal solutions iteratively. The expected result of this research is to determine the most profitable production quantity by maximizing the use of available production capacity. Overall, the application of this model is expected to improve production efficiency and company profits, as well as contribute to the development of optimization techniques in the manufacturing sector, particularly in textiles.
