Abstract

Indigenous Communities (KAT) are still an issue in Indonesia and local governments. KAT in Jambi Province are spread across several regencies, sub-districts and villages. One of them is in Hajran Village, Batanghari Regency. KAT has complex social problems, namely poverty, education and health. Health problems in KAT arise due to the low implementation of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) because this behavior is not yet understood. Increased knowledge and changes in PHBS occur after education is provided. Pop-up book media can increase knowledge, attitudes, skills and behavior of PHBS. Increasing awareness of PHBS as a strategy for preventing stunting. In Hajran Village in June 2024, there were 5 cases of stunting and 2 cases of malnutrition. The Suku Anak Dalam Health Education Center (PODKESAD) is an application of technology development and innovation as an effort to prevent the risk of stunting. This activity aims to increase knowledge and behavior of PHBS in KAT, increase knowledge of stunting prevention with local food and biofloc pond catfish cultivation and PMT processing skills with local food and biofloc pond catfish cultivation in PKK groups. The implementation method is through providing education and training. PODKESAD is able to increase the knowledge of PHBS KAT (76.2%) and behavior (77.9%), increase the knowledge of PKK groups about preventing stunting by utilizing local food (86.1%) and skills (100%), and increase the knowledge of PKK groups about catfish cultivation in biofloc ponds (83.21%) and skills (100%). It is hoped that the Hajran Village government will provide guidance for the sustainability of the program in KAT and TP PKK so that the risk of stunting can be reduced through PHBS habits and the provision of additional food and access to a variety of high-protein foods in the form of catfish floss.

Abstract

e level of food consumption in the adolescent age group is still classified as less in accordance with balanced dietary guidelines, which is still in the low category in the consumption of protein, fruits and vegetables, and the consumption of fat, sugar and salt is quite high. However, if calorie intake is not balanced with the amount of energy expended through physical activity, an increase in energy reserves stored in adipose tissue can lead to overweight. Diet quality, as an assessment of adherence to a balanced diet, has a role to play in improving health by recommending dietary diversity to meet nutrient needs and by preventing food-related noncommunicable diseases. The aim of this study was to determine the difference in diet quality between overweight and non-overweight adolescents in SMA N 10 Jambi City. This research was conducted in May-July 2024 in SMA N 10 Jambi City. This research is a quantitative study with cross sectional design. Data was collected using 3x24 hour food recall interviews. The sample size was 85 adolescents. Data analysis in this study used univariate and bivariate analysis using T- test. The results showed a percentage description of diet quality in adolescents, namely as many as 85 people (100%) had poor diet quality and as many as 41 people (48.2%) had overweight nutritional status. There is no difference between the diet quality of overweight adolescents and non-overweight adolescents with a Sig. 0,284. It can be concluded that there is no difference between the dietary quality of overweight and non- overweight adolescents. It is recommended that schools, in collaboration with the health centre, carry out counselling on the consumption of balanced, nutritious food, guided by the contents of my plate, in order to improve the quality of adolescent diet.

This type of research is quantitative research with cross-sectional design. Data was collected by distributing FFQ questionnaires, GPAQ questionnaires and measuring BMI. This study was conducted in June 2024 in Pelita Raya Junior High School, Jambi City. Data analysis in the study used univariate and bivariate analysis using chi-squared test to determine the relationship between the independent variable (fast food consumption and physical activity) with the dependent variable (overnutrition). The results showed the percentage of adolescents who consumed fast food with frequent categories as many as 15 adolescents (42.9%) and rarely as many as 20 adolescents (57.1%). The picture of physical activity of adolescents with high intensity as many as 21 adolescents (60%) and low as many as 14 adolescents (40%). The nutritional status of adolescents with overnutrition category was 13 adolescents (37.1%) and normal nutritional status was 22 adolescents (62.9%). There is a relationship between fast food consumption and the incidence of overweight (p = 0.015) and there is a relationship between physical activity and the incidence of overweight (p = 0.000). In this study it can be concluded that there is an association between fast food consumption and physical activity with nutrient intake. It is recommended that adolescents reduce their consumption of fast food, adopt good consumption patterns and engage in sufficient physical activity to avoid overnutrition.

Abstract

Adolescent girls are a group that is vulnerable to nutritional problems. Nutritional problems in adolescent girls can be caused by negative body image perceptions, lack of nutritional knowledge, and poor eating behavior according to Riskesdas data in 2018 showing that undernutrition at the age of 13-15 years in Indonesia was 8.7% in the very underweight category and 6.7 including the underweight category. The results of bivariate analysis showed no relationship between body image and eating behavior p value (= 0.623) and no relationship between nutritional knowledge and eating behavior p value = (0.167). It is recommended that schools can work together with health authorities to conduct health education to prevent bad eating behavior and body image perceptions at school so that adolescent girls can improve their knowledge and eating behavior in accordance with balanced nutritional guidelines and improve positive body image perceptions by focusing on their strengths and exploring their interests and talents. Abstract

Adolescents are defined as young people aged 10-19 years.   Adolescents experience rapid growth and development, and are included in a group that is vulnerable to nutritional problems, so they need to get the attention of many parties. This increasing lack of physical activity is a health problem that needs attention and can be addressed immediately. Lack of physical activity has also been identified as a risk factor for chronic disease. As an effort to prevent nutritional problems, this research was carried out to find out factors related to nutritional problems, one of which was adolescent physical activity among MTS students as many as 14 respondents at the Ainul Yaqin Orphanage, Jambi City. The results of the research showed that all respondents fell into the category of early adolescence, 100% of the respondents were male (50%) and 7 respondents were female (50%). Based on the level of physical activity of teenagers, the average number of respondents had a light physical activity level of 9 respondents (64.3%) and 5 respondents had a moderate level of physical activity (35.7%), there were no respondents with a heavy physical activity level. The conclusion in this study was that the majority of respondents, namely 9 respondents, had low levels of physical activity (64.3%). It is recommended that partners continue to motivate teenagers to increase their daily physical activity, so that their health status can be optimal. Future researchers can carry out further research with different variables and methods in efforts to prevent nutritional problems. The targeted output is scientific publication in accredited national journals.
