The method in this service uses the ABCD (Asset Base Community Development) method, the location of the service is carried out at the Ma'arif NU Metro Lampung early childhood education institution, which consists of three schools, namely RA Ma'arif, TK Maarif 1, and TK Ma'arif 2 Metro Lampung. As with the Service Locations that will be carried out later, the habituation program is based on the values of ASWAJA and Nahdliyah. However, its application requires innovation from audio-visual media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of storytelling methods using picture story books in developing the language skills of children aged 5-6 years at the Qur'an Ma'arif Kindergarten Sumber Rezeki Mataram. The study was conducted in the form of Classroom Action Research (CAR) for two cycles, each consisting of three meetings. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, with a focus on five indicators of language skills: speaking with good language, writing names, communicating with teachers and friends, asking and answering questions. The results showed a significant increase in language skills. The average score of children increased from 7.6 (Not Developing) in the pre-cycle, to 16.0 (Developing as Expected) in the first cycle, and reached 23.5 (Developing Very Well) in the second cycle. Learning with picture books has been proven to be able to create a pleasant learning atmosphere, stimulate children's verbal expression, and facilitate the understanding of vocabulary and sentence structure. This study recommends the use of picture story methods as an effective strategy for early childhood education teachers in improving children's language development as a whole.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between fatherlessness and mathematical mindset through self-esteem. The study used an ex post facto correlational research design involving 184 junior high school students. The instruments used were the fatherlessness scale, self-esteem scale, and mathematical mindset scale, all of which had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was performed using Andrew F. Hayes' Process Model 4. The results showed that fatherlessness had a significant negative effect on self-esteem (β=-0.298, p<0.01). Self-esteem had a positive effect on mathematical mindset (β=0.384, p<0.01), and fatherlessness also had a direct negative effect on mathematical mindset (β=-0.167, p<0.01). In addition, there is an indirect mediating effect through self-esteem (β=-0.114, 95% CI [-0.184, -0.062]). The implications of the research results for guidance and counseling practices will be discussed.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal how piil pesenggikhi develops and becomes a family parenting pattern for the Lampung people. Piil pesenggikhi is taught by parents from early childhood through the family environment. However, immoral behaviours are still committed by children from Lampung community families. The problem formulation presented is how parents teach their children these values for early childhood moral development. This research uses qualitative methods to examine Lampung community families and traditional Lampung elders. Researchers found a specific identity from the values of piil pesenggikhi, including nemui nyimah, juluk adok, nengah nyappor, and sakai sambayan. Through these values, early childhood moral development is carried out through learning that prioritizes respect, courtesy, hospitality, acceptance of differences, perseverance, and teaching children to help each other.

Abstract

The limited in-depth research on the internalization of moral values through Islamic education at the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) level underpins this study, given the critical importance of character formation from an early age. This research aims to analyze the strategies, implementation, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in the development of children's moral character at PAUD Al-Ikhlas. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, and data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving the school principal, teachers, and parents. The findings reveal that the internalization of moral values is integrated across all school activities. Three main strategies are applied: modeling by all school members, habituation of Islamic values in daily routines, and value reinforcement through emotional media such as storytelling and nasyid. Key supporting factors include visionary leadership and strong partnerships between the school and parents, while the main obstacles involve inconsistencies between home and school values and fluctuations in teacher motivation. This study contributes to the reinforcement of social learning theory and the concept of tarbiyah, and has practical implications for the development of a holistic curriculum and stronger synergy between schools and families in fostering children's character development.

Abstract

This study aims to describe a parenting-based inclusive early childhood learning model in families in Metro City. The study used a qualitative approach with field research, with parents of children with special needs such as ADHD, dyslexia, and speech delay as subjects. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, while data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results showed that the parenting-based inclusive learning model was implemented through five main stages: identification and assessment of children's needs, adjustment of learning materials and activities, implementation of educational play activities, active involvement of parents as companions, and periodic evaluation and adjustment. The learning process takes place flexibly, naturally, and is based on daily experiences within the family, with parents as the primary educators who adjust learning strategies based on the child's conditions and needs. Educational play activities are the main medium in stimulating children's cognitive, social, and language development. Active parental involvement in ongoing mentoring and evaluation is a determining factor in learning success. The research findings indicate that this model is effective in supporting the development of children with special needs, although it still requires strengthening in terms of systematization and professional support for optimal implementation.
