Abstract

ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) is a life-threatening cardiovascular emergency that requires rapid and appropriate intervention. One key indicator of successful management is Door-to-Balloon Time (D2BT), which reflects the interval between a patient's arrival at the emergency department and the initiation of primary percutaneous coronary intervention. The CODE STEMI program was developed to streamline the clinical pathway and accelerate reperfusion therapy. To evaluate the impact of the CODE STEMI program on achieving optimal D2BT in STEMI patients. This quantitative comparative study employed an analytical design using the Chi-Square test.

Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that remains a major public health problem in Indonesia. The prevalence of hypertension among adults aged 18 years and over reaches 34.1%, with most cases being asymptomatic yet potentially leading to serious complications such as stroke, kidney failure, and heart disease. This situation underscores the need for effective health education to control risk factors by improving patient adherence to antihypertensive medication and a low-salt diet. Objective: This community service activity aimed to improve patients’ knowledge, awareness, and adherence to antihypertensive therapy and the implementation of a low-salt diet to maintain optimal blood pressure control. Method: The program was carried out in the Internal Medicine Ward of RSUD Jayapura using direct health education and outreach methods with printed leaflets as educational media. This approach was chosen because it enables practical, clear, and direct communication of health information to patients and families. Leaflets also allow patients to review the material independently at home. Result: The results showed a notable increase in patients’ and families’ understanding after participating in the educational activity. Post-education assessments indicated improved knowledge and awareness regarding medication adherence and dietary salt restriction. The leaflet proved to be an effective, easy-to-understand, and practical educational medium for supporting sustainable health promotion among hypertensive patients. Conclusion: Health education through printed leaflets can effectively increase patient knowledge and adherence to antihypertensive medication and a low-salt diet. This medium supports healthcare workers in delivering consistent and continuous patient education for better hypertension management outcomes.

Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this service was to increase the knowledge and independence of post sectio caesarea mothers in implementing postoperative health management through structured educational interventions in the PONEK Room of Siwa Regional Hospital. Method: This public service was conducted by health education and empowerment activities involving 20 participants (post SC mothers and families) in the PONEK Room, using interactive lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and leaflet/poster media. Analysis of priority problems used Fishbone to determine the root causes of low patient knowledge, USG to establish priority ranking (where acute pain, infection risk, and mobilization barriers were the highest), and SWOT to design strategy improvements based on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in service implementation. Result: The results showed an increase in patient knowledge, with pre-test values averaging 60% increasing to 90% in the post-test. Participants demonstrated improved ability in wound care, early mobilization, pain control, nutrition management, and recognition of danger signs. Family involvement and support for patient recovery also increased. Conclusion: Structured health education effectively improves knowledge, attitudes, and independence of post SC mothers in postoperative health management. Optimization of continuous education and stakeholder collaboration is recommended to sustain improved recovery outcomes and patient safety in the surgical ward.

Abstract

Stunting remains a major public health concern in Indonesia, including in Sumbawa Regency. Preventive efforts must be carried out upstream, one of which is through nutrition and health education for adolescents as future parents. This community service activity aimed to develop a digital-based educational media in the form of the RAMPES (Remaja Peduli Stunting/Adolescents Care for Stunting) website as an interactive learning tool to improve adolescents’ literacy in nutrition and health. The method applied combined participatory, educational, and co-creation approaches, including problem identification, digital content development, online and offline dissemination, and evaluation through pre- and post-tests. The product developed was a website containing digital modules, educational videos, presentation materials, and interactive exercises designed to match adolescent characteristics. The website was disseminated online via Zoom with the participation of 233 students from 47 senior high schools/vocational schools (SMA/SMK), and offline at five pilot schools: SMA Negeri 1 Sumbawa, SMA Negeri 2 Sumbawa, SMA Negeri 3 Sumbawa, SMK Negeri 1 Sumbawa, and SMK Islam Farmasi Sumbawa. Evaluation results indicated an improvement in knowledge, with the “poor” category decreasing from 21.6% to 16.2% and the “fair” category increasing from 40.5% to 45.9%. A more significant improvement was observed in attitudes, with the “good” category rising from 23.4% to 63.1% and the “poor” category decreasing sharply from 25.2% to 3.6%. These findings demonstrate that website-based education is effective in enhancing adolescent nutrition literacy and fostering positive attitudes toward stunting prevention. This initiative also supports the Bakti Stunting Program implemented by KCD DIKBUD Sumbawa and serves as a strategic innovation in the digital transformation of education and health sectors.

Abstract

The working conditions of healthcare workers in Indonesia, especially in state hospitals, remain unsatisfactory. One factor that influences this is the low reward system in state hospitals compared to private hospitals. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the reward system (incentives, promotions, and career development) on improving the performance of nurses. The design of this research is quantitative, employing a cross-sectional approach, with the population in this study comprising all 150 nurses at UPTD RSUD Bobong. The sample consisted of a portion of the population that met the inclusion criteria, comprising 112 people selected using a simple random sampling technique. The collected data were analyzed using Spearman's rho statistical test and ordinal logistic regression analysis with an α error rate of 0.05. The results of the analysis using the ordinal regression test yielded a significant result. (2-tailed) values for the incentive factor (p-value = 0.012 < 0.05), promotion factor (p-value = 0.023 < 0.05) and career development factor (p-value = 0.019 < 0.05). The research shows that incentive, promotion, and career resulted in harm er development factors in implementing the reward system influence the performance of nurses at Bobong Hospital, Taliabu Island Regency. The incentives factor is the most dominant in the reward system, which influences nurse performance.

Abstract

This study analyzes factors influencing laboratory practice performance among fourth-semester D3 Nursing students at STIKES Aisyiyah Palembang in 2024. Using a cross-sectional design with random sampling, 131 students participated by completing structured questionnaires. Data were analyzed with simple linear regression to determine the effects of motivation, interest, and learning intensity on laboratory outcomes. Results showed that 64.9% of students had positive motivation, 66.4% expressed strong interest, and only 13.7% demonstrated high learning intensity. Overall, 94.7% of students passed laboratory practice. Cross-tabulation revealed that students with positive motivation (97.6%), strong interest (97.7%), and high learning intensity (100%) had the highest pass rates. Regression analysis confirmed that motivation (p = 0.000), interest (p = 0.000), and learning intensity (p = 0.035) significantly influenced laboratory performance, while the learning environment and facilities showed no statistical impact. These findings highlight that intrinsic factors—particularly motivation and interest—are stronger predictors of success compared to external conditions. Therefore, nursing educators should prioritize strategies that foster student motivation, maintain engagement, and encourage consistent learning intensity to optimize laboratory outcomes.

Abstract

The successful implementation of an Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS) in high-risk industries, such as sugar manufacturing, is determined not only by the completeness of formal systems but also by human factors at the operational level. This study aims to analyze the influence of competence, workload, and job stress on the implementation of OSHMS among production employees at the Ngadirejo Sugar Factory in Kediri. A quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach was employed. A total of 109 employees were selected from a population of 150 using simple random sampling. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that job stress has a positive and significant effect on OSHMS implementation (β = 0.329; p = 0.004), whereas competence (β = −0.062; p = 0.643) and workload (β = 0.119; p = 0.275) do not show significant effects. Simultaneously, the three variables explain 10.1% of the variance in OSHMS implementation (R² = 0.101), suggesting that other factors outside the model play a more dominant role. The findings suggest that job stress may function as a driver of alertness that enhances compliance with safety procedures in the operational context of Ngadirejo Sugar Factory. Managerial implications emphasize the importance of adaptive stress management, not to eliminate stress entirely, but to maintain it at an optimal level that supports safe work behavior while preventing long-term fatigue and burnout.
