Abstract

Coliform bacteria can be used as an indicator of the presence of pathogenic bacteria, such as E.coli bacteria that cause diarrhea. The aimed of this study is to determine the relationship between physical-chemical parameters namely temperature, pH, DO and BOD to the density of coliform bacteria in Jawi River, Pontianak. The sampling was conducted at one point each in the upstream, midstream and downstream area of the Jawi River during two tidal conditions of the Kapuas River in September 2016 at 09:40 (at low tide) and at 15:40 (at high tide). The correlation of physical-chemical parameter to coliform value was tested Pearson Product Moment. The results showed that coliform bacterial density increased from upstream to downstream with 150-1500 MPN/100 ml at high tide and 930-11000 MPN/100 ml at low tide. The results showed that the coliform bacterial density value had a positive relation with pH and BOD parameters and negative relation with temperature and DO parameters. So, it can be concluded that there is a correlation between physical parameters, such as temperature and chemical parameters such as pH, DO and BOD to microbiological parameters especially Coliform bacterial density. The benefit of this study is to give information about water quality of Jawi River and its correlation with density of Coliform bacterial, so that people are expected to pay more attention to the use of clean water to avoid the disease caused by coliform.

Abstract

The environmental crisis is happening today requires the attention of the global community. One approach that can be done is to apply the teachings of Islam as a whole. Belief in religion can influence people to maintain the environment. This study was conducted to determine how the environment in Islam. Scientific publications in accordance with Islamic friends in the neighborhood of indexed Dimensions analyzed by a systematic literature review (SLR). The parameters analyzed were the number of publications per year, the origin and the origin of the author's state institutions. Furthermore, the results were analyzed with the VOS Viewer software. A total of 30 relevant scientific articles selected and analyzed. Publications related to the environment in Islam increased since 2006 with some of the topics of discussion. A popular topic of research is on the management of natural resources and environment, water conservation, and climate change.

Abstract

Keberadaan sungai sebagai air permukaan sangat diperlukan bagi kelangsungan kehidupan manusia, antara lain sebagai air baku minum, air baku irigasi pertanian, peternakan, pembangkit listrik, rekreasi, dan sebagainya. Diketahui juga bahwa PDAM Tirta Khatulistiwa Kota Pontianak belum melayani seluruh penduduk Kota Pontianak. Sehingga masih ada masyarakat yang memenuhi keperluan air bersih menggunakan air sungai/parit yang ada di Kota Pontianak. Di Sungai Putat yang termasuk kawasan gambut, masyarakat masih menggunakan air sungai tersebut sebagai sumber air bersih. Kualitas perairan sungai merupakan suatu cara yang dapat menduga dan mengevaluasi adanya perubahan lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui status mutu air pada lahan gambut, tepatnya di Sungai Putat. Standar status mutu air yang digunakan adalah air kelas II berdasarkan PP 82 tahun 2001. Pengambilan sample air menggunakan purposive sampling di 3 titik pada Sungai Putat. Analisis status mutu menggunakan metode STORET. Diketahui bahwa status mutu Sungai Putat Kota Pontianak tercemar sedang. Sehingga dibutuhkan pengendalian pencemaran air terhadap Sungai Putat.

Abstract

Application of Mangrove Planting Technology in Kabupaten Mempawah, West Kalimantan, Indonesia  Abstract. In 11 years there has been a change in the mangrove ecosystem around 76,000 ha or 36% of its original area in West Kalimantan. Damage to the coastal area of Kabupaten Mempawah in Desa Sungai Kunyit due to abrasion. The impact felt by the surrounding community is the decline in fisheries production. However, in the last few years, it has been known that in Kabupaten Mempawah mangrove conservation has been carried out, especially in preventing abrasion on degraded land. However, most mangrove plantations fail to grow. The purpose of this writing is to explain the community-based mangrove conservation in Kabupaten Mempawah which has been done to overcome the failure of mangrove planting that has been done. The method in mangrove conservation is carried out with mangrove planting training, followed by preparation and search for mangrove seedlings, seeding mangrove seeds, planting mangrove seedlings by stake, conservation evaluation. As a result of this activity, mangrove plants are in the range of 60-70% which still survives. The proven stake can increase the chances of survival of mangrove seedlings planted on the coast. A management group for Mempawah mangrove ecosystem has also been formed. Conservation in mangrove ecosystem forests must involve many parties, communities, village governments, local governments, the private sector, community, youth organizations, and others. Conservation in Kabupaten Mempawah is carried out with an emphasis on empowering local communities, commonly known as the bottom-up approach.Keywords: Community, conservation, mangrove, Mempawah. Abstrak. Dalam 11 tahun telah terjadi perubahan ekosistem mangrove sekitar 76.000 hektare atau 36% dari wilayah aslinya di Kalimantan Barat. Kerusakan wilayah pesisir Kabupaten Mempawah di Sungai Kunyit dikarenakan abrasi. Dampak yang dirasakan oleh masyarakat sekitar adalah menurunnya produksi perikanan. Namun dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, diketahui bahwa di Kabupaten Mempawah telah melakukan konservasi mangrove, terutama dalam pencegahan abrasi pada lahan yang sudah kritis. Namun sebagian besar penanaman mangrove gagal tumbuh. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan konservasi mangrove berbasis masyarakat di Kabupaten Mempawah yang telah dilakukan untuk mengatasi kegagalan penanaman mangrove yang pernah dilakukan. Metode dalam konservasi mangrove ini dilakukan dengan pelatihan penanaman mangrove, dilanjutkan dengan persiapan dan pencarian bibit mangrove, penyemaian bibit mangrove, penanaman bibit mangrove dengan ajir, evaluasi konservasi. Hasil kegiatan ini, tanaman mangrove berada di kisaran 60-70% yang masih bertahan hidup. Terbukti ajir bisa menambah peluang hidup bibit mangrove yang ditanam di pesisir pantai. Juga telah terbentuk kelompok pengelola ekosistem mangrove Mempawah. Konservasi di hutan ekosistem mangrove harus melibatkan banyak pihak, masyarakat, pemerintah desa, pemerintah daerah, sektor swasta, organisasi masyarakat/masyarakat, organisasi pemuda, dan lainnya. Konservasi di Kabupaten Mempawah dilakukan dengan penekanan pada pemberdayaan masyarakat lokal yang umumnya dikenal sebagai pendekatan bottom-up.Kata Kunci: komunitas, konservasi, mangrove, Mempawah.

Abstract

This paper investigates global research of highly cited articles on biochar for wastewater treatment using bibliometric analysis from Scopus database. Based on bibliometric, highly cited articles were published between 2009-2018. We found 33 highly cited articles with 6,429 citations from various journals, countries, institutions, and authors. The most active journal to publish biochar in wastewater treatment is Journal of Hazardous Materials (JHM) from Netherlands. Most active authors come from America and China. University of Florida, USA, is the most active institution to research the use of biochar in wastewater treatment. Then, the common keywords that authors used are biochar and heavy metals. It shows that biochar is effective to remove heavy metals from wastewater. Also, biochar optimization in production and adsorption is a concern of future research. This is one of the first attempts to understand a stream of research which, over time, has paved the way for the utilization of biochar as a material for wastewater treatment.

Abstract

Drinking water is an aspect of Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs 2030 with the aim of ensuring the availability and management of clean water and sustainable sanitation. Many efforts to fulfill drinking water have been carried out by the Government of Indonesia, including in Segedong District as evidenced by the existence of a Drinking Water Treatment Plant. However, with the increase in population, the water produced by the WTP cannot sufficient of drinking water needs, so it is necessary to increase the amount of drinking water by planning a Water Treatment Plant for Segedong District for 15 years (2021-2035). The method used is primary data collection (climatological data) and secondary data (population and public facilities) which will then be processed to obtain the amount of drinking water needed and the required WTP capacity. The results obtained that the raw water source comes from the Peniti River, where the Peniti River has parameters that exceed the quality standard, namely color, pH, turbidity, organic matter, manganese, iron, and total coliform. Parameters will be processed with coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, neutralization. The calculation results show the amount of drinking water needed is 85.56 l/sec. Planning is carried out in 3 stages every 5 years, so that the planning to be carried out is phase I planning for drinking water needs in 2026 with a capacity of 75 l/s. Phase I planning requires an area of 293.97 m2.

Abstract

Waste discharged into the environment (air and water) needs to meet the expectation of environmental quality standards. One method that has been widely studied and to be used in maintaining water quality is a combination of the Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) method. With the Dimensions database, in the last ten years (2010-2020), it is known that there are 373 journals regarding MBBR for wastewater treatment. Furthermore, a bibliometric analysis was carried out with data from 2017 to 2020, using visualization from Vosviewer to determine the development of research on MBBR. Indonesia is in 10th place, contributing five articles on MBBR. Some other countries conducting the most research on MBBR include China, the United States, Iran, India, and Germany. The Journal that publishes the most research on MBBR is Bioresource Technology. The author who has done the most research on MBBR is Olav Vadstein, by the issuance of four articles. Meanwhile, the institutions that write the most research on MBBR are the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the Technical University of Denmark. Another combination of data-driven systematic literature review (SLR) is needed to complement the bibliometric analysis of the MBBR study for wastewater treatment.

Abstract

Abstract The concept of waste management through a waste bank was first researched in Thailand in 2008. It is known that waste banks can minimize the volume of waste that will be disposed of to landfill. Waste banks also create economic opportunities and can improve the quality of the environment. This research was conducted to find out how to manage waste through a waste bank. Scientific articles indexed by Dimensions (2008-2018) were analyzed by the systematic library review (SLR) method. The parameters analyzed include aspects of the number of articles published, journal choice, article writer, author's institution and country of origin, author collaboration, and the number of citations. The results of the analysis are visualized with the VOSviewer application. There are 99 scientific articles known and can be known by authors, institutions and any country in the world that study waste banks for waste management. Publications on waste banks tend to experience a significant increase from 2016 to 2018. Popular research topics are community-based waste management, changes in environmental care behavior, and performance evaluation and success factors for waste banks. Keywords: bibliometric, systematic literature review, VOSviewer, waste bank Abstrak Konsep pengelolaan sampah melalui bank sampah pertama kali diteliti di Thailand pada tahun 2008. Diketahui bahwa bank sampah bisa meminimalkan volume limbah yang akan dibuang ke TPA. Bank sampah juga menciptakan peluang ekonomi dan bisa meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengelolaan sampah melalui bank sampah. Artikel ilmiah yang terindeks Dimensions (2008-2018) dianalisis dengan metode tinjauan pustaka sistematis (SLR). Parameter yang dianalisis meliputi aspek jumlah artikel yang terbit, pilihan jurnal, penulis artikel, institusi penulis serta asal negara, kolaborasi penulis, dan jumlah kutipan. Hasil analisa tersebut divisualisasikan dengan aplikasi VOSviewer. Diketahui ada 99 artikel ilmiah dan bisa diketahui penulis, institusi dan negara mana saja di dunia yang meneliti mengenai bank sampah dalam pengelolaan sampah. Publikasi mengenai bank sampah cenderung mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dari tahun 2016 hingga 2018. Topik popular penelitian adalah manajemen pengelolaan sampah berbasis masyarakat, perubahan perilaku peduli lingkungan, serta evaluasi kinerja dan faktor keberhasilan bank sampah.   Kata kunci: bank sampah, bibliometrik, tinjauan pustaka sistematis, VOSviewer.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSungai Jawi menjadi saluran primer yang digunakan oleh masyarakat setempat dan muara saluran sekunder dari kawasan perumahan. Bakteri coliform biasa dijadikan indikator keberadaan bakteri patogen yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit water borne disease yaitu diare. Hal tersebut menjadi dasar tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kepadatan bakteri coliform di saluran Sungai Jawi dan hubungannya terhadap parameter suhu, pH, DO dan BOD serta insidensi penyakit diare di Sungai Jawi. Titik pengambilan sampel dilakukan di hulu, tengah dan hilir Sungai Jawi saat kondisi pasang-surut Sungai Kapuas pada bulan September 2016 jam 09.40 WIB (saat surut) dan jam 15.40 (saat pasang). Analisis hubungan kepadatan bakteri coliformterhadapparameter suhu, pH, DO dan BOD serta insidensi diare menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Momentsementara analisis hubungan masyarakat yang menggunakan air Sungai Jawi terhadap insidensi diare menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil analisis kualitas air menunjukkan bahwa kepadatan bakteri coliform meningkat dari titik hulu menuju titik hilir dengan nilai 150-1.500 MPN/100 ml saat pasang dan 930-11.000 MPN/100 ml saat surut. Analisis uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif (berbanding lurus) parameter pH dan BOD serta hubungan negatif (berbanding terbalik) parameter suhu dan DO terhadap kepadatan bakteri coliform. Hasil uji korelasi juga menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara kepadatan bakteri coliform terhadap insidensi diare, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi -0,649 (pasang) dan -0,695 (saat surut). Sementara hasil analisis uji Chi-Square(df=1;a=5%) menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara masyarakat pengguna air Sungai Jawi dan insidensi diare. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan air Sungai Jawi berpotensi sebagai faktor terjadinya diare di Sungai Jawi. Kata Kunci :Diare, Coliform, Sungai Jawi, Pontianak

Abstract

 Segedong District has a Drinking Water Treatment Plant (IPA Drinking) located in the area. The IPA has a small capacity, so it has not been able to meet the drinking water needs for the entire community of Segedong District which is increasing over time. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the capacity of the Drinking Water Treatment Plant for Segedong District for the next 15 years (2021-2035). The source of raw water used comes from the Peniti River. The results obtained indicate that the Peniti River has a value that exceeds the quality standard on several parameters, namely color, pH, turbidity, organic matter, manganese, iron, and total coliform. The planned Drinking Water Treatment Plant focuses on processing parameters that exceed these quality standards. The need for drinking water in this sub-district until 2035 is 85.56 l/s which will be built in 3 stages. Phase I was built for drinking water needs in 2026 of 75 l/s which subsequently the capacity will be used for this planning discharge. The water treatment process used consists of coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, neutralization, and reservoir, with the required land area of 293.97 m2.  Abstrak Kecamatan Segedong memiliki Instalasi Pengolahan Air Minum (IPA Minum) yang terletak di daerah tersebut. IPA tersebut memiliki kapasitas kecil, sehingga belum dapat memenuhi kebutuhan air minum untuk seluruh masyarakat Kecamatan Segedong yang semakin lama semakin meningkat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan peningkatan jumlah kapasitas Instalasi Pengolahan Air Minum untuk Kecamatan Segedong hingga 15 tahun yang akan datang (2021-2035). Sumber air baku yang digunakan berasal dari Sungai Peniti. Hasil yang didapatkan menunjukkan bahwa Sungai Peniti memiliki nilai yang melebihi baku mutu pada beberapa parameter yaitu warna, pH, kekeruhan, zat organik, mangan, besi, dan total coliform. Instalasi Pengolahan Air Minum yang direncanakan ini menitikberatkan pada pengolahan parameter yang melebihi baku mutu tersebut. Kebutuhan air minum di kecamatan ini hingga 2035 sebesar  85,56 l/dt yang akan dibangun menjadi 3 tahap. Tahap I dibangun untuk kebutuhan air minum pada tahun 2026 sebesar 75 l/dt yang selajutnya kapasitas tersebut akan digunakan untuk debit perencanaan ini. Proses pengolahan air yang digunakan terdiri dari koagulasi, flokulasi, sedimentasi, filtrasi, desinfeksi, netralisasi, dan reservoir, dengan lahan yang dibutuhkan sebesar 293,97 m2.
