Abstract

Vocational skills in an inclusive society are needed in business trips within an organization. The Mitra Sejahtera Center for Disability Empowerment (PPDMS) is an organization of persons with disabilities that is productive in producing patchwork mat products in quite a large capacity. This research wants to reveal how assistive technology in their business can change their vocational skills before and after knowing technology. This study uses a qualitative approach with a unique case of doormat crafts at PPDMS in Gunungkidul Regency. The research subject is the organizational chart, including the chairman and members involved in the production of doormats. The results of this study indicate that their vocational skills underwent a significant transformation after assistive technology was introduced. Before they learn assistive technology, their skill is to weave mats with the help of conventional looms. Developing more modernly, the use of mechanization with non-machine looms accessible for persons with disabilities has changed weaving skills to weaving skills complemented by skills in spinning threads. Developing even more rapidly, engineering technology-based vocational skills create job specifications for persons with disabilities. The users of these semi-automatic machines must be skilled and understand the machine mechanization system. This research implies that with the existence of assistive technology, the transformation of vocational skills goes hand in hand with developments in technology and science.

Abstract

Implementing remedial and enrichment strategies followed by modeling the weight of the appraisal is the goal to be achieved in this study. The ASSURE model in this study has been used to develop an appraisal model for remedial and enrichment activities integrated with the independent curriculum in the vocational field. The results showed that the peer tutoring strategy among students could optimize remedial and enrichment outcomes. The students have shown their ability in independent and collaborative learning. In remedial and enrichment activities, groups of enrichment students have been directed to help their friends to be successful in remedial. Students' success in the remedial process is the success of enriching other students and vice versa. Each student has received an appreciation of the value according to his effort. The progress of remedial students is 8% to 82%, with an average of 10%. This progress forms the basis for determining the final score for the remedial, intermediate, and enrichment groups as tutors. The difference between the remedial and enrichment appraisal weights was determined using mathematical model 1. The final score of students who become tutors is determined using the mathematical model 3. The three mathematical models above can calculate remedial, enrichment, and tutor results. The use of this model helps teachers or lecturers to be more objective in giving grades. Lecturers' appraisal of student learning outcomes has been carried out in a transparent, fair, and accountable following the differences in the potential competencies of each student. Students have followed the learning process, the assessment process has been carried out properly, the teacher's documentation is complete, and the teacher is more confident.

Abstract

Apem yaqowiyyu is a traditional snack at every breakfast event in Jatinom District, Klaten Regency. Gradually, apem yaqowiyyu began to be sold every day without waiting for the Saparan ceremony. One of the existing and productive producers of Apem Yaqowiyyu is UKM Apem Yaqowiyyu Bunda Santi. A total of 6 people, namely Mrs. Santi and five workers, have been able to produce apem yaqowiyyu to meet the needs of the local community and tourists. In carrying out business, these SMEs have a significant production problem. The problem is that the limited apem owned is not durable and long-lasting, and the number of variants over the years of opening a business is only five flavors. Solutions that can be resolved based on an agreement between the PKM team and partners are solving production problems. The solution to the production problem is the addition of 5 new flavors that the general public likes. The resulting PKM results are six new flavor variants based on research innovation and science and technology application to partners, including Mocca A, Mocca B, Pisang Kepok, Pisang Raja, Baked Plantain, and Raisins. Based on the PKM team and partner assessment results, Mocca A is in great demand and has the potential to have a high selling value because the quality of the apem filling is premium class.

Abstract

Transformational leadership is seen as a strategic approach to enhancing teacher performance, particularly in vocational education settings that require adaptation to industrial changes and learning innovations. This study aims to synthesize empirical findings from 30 scientific journals published between 2019 and 2024, to analyze the contribution of the four dimensions of transformational leadership of ideal influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual considerations on motivation, self-efficacy, and Performance of vocational teachers. The systematic review adheres to the PRISMA 2020 guidelines and uses data sources from ERIC, Scopus, and DOAJ. The results indicate that vocational school principals who use transformational leadership may foster a collaborative work environment, encourage pedagogical experimentation, and enhance teachers' professional engagement. Contextual factors, such as institutional support, organizational culture, and national vocational education policies, moderate the effectiveness of these leadership practices. Therefore, leadership training for vocational school principals should be designed contextually and continuously. This review provides an empirical foundation for the development of leadership-based teacher quality enhancement policies within the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system.
