Abstract

Abstract  The application of e-learning in education has become increasingly essential for enhancing learning effectiveness, particularly in physics topics such as static fluids. This study aims to design a blended learning–based e-learning system to improve students’ understanding of static fluid concepts. The research employs a research and development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), integrated with Moodle’s built-in feature, Activity Analytics, to monitor students’ learning progress and engagement. The results indicate that the blended learning design integrated into Moodle consists of key components, including interactive learning materials, collaborative activities through discussion forums, quizzes for evaluation, and the use of Activity Analytics to track students’ learning progress. This design is expected to support the development of more adaptive learning features that accommodate students’ individual learning needs. Abstrak  Penerapan e-learning dalam dunia pendidikan menjadi semakin penting untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran, khususnya pada materi fluida statis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang e-learning berbasis blended learning yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep fluida statis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan research and development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation), serta memanfaatkan salah satu fitur bawaan Moodle, yaitu Activity Analytics, untuk memantau aktivitas dan perkembangan belajar siswa. Hasil pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa desain blended learning yang terintegrasi dengan Moodle mencakup komponen utama berupa materi pembelajaran interaktif, aktivitas kolaboratif melalui forum diskusi, kuis sebagai sarana evaluasi, serta pemanfaatan fitur Activity Analytics untuk memantau progres belajar siswa. Melalui desain ini, diharapkan dapat dikembangkan fitur pembelajaran yang lebih adaptif guna memenuhi kebutuhan belajar individu siswa.

Abstract

Abstract Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) is an important approach in teaching physics because it encourages students' engagement in the learning process. The STEAM approach is an effective learning strategy for developing 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. This research aims to systematically examine the strategies of learning using the STEAM approach in improving students' 21st-century skills in the topic of kinematics. The research method used is a literature study of articles published between 2015 and 2025 from the Google Scholar and DOAJ databases. The findings of this research show that learning with the STEAM approach is effective in developing students' participation, learning outcomes, and higher-order thinking skills. This research contributes to the development of more effective learning strategies in physics education. Abstrak Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) merupakan salah satu pendekatan penting dalam pembelajaran fisika, karena pendekatan ini mendorong keterlitabatan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Pendekatan STEAM menjadi strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan abad 21, seperti berpikir kritis, kreatif, kolaborasi, dan komunikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis strategi pembelajaran dengan pendekatan STEAM dalam meningkatan keterampilan abad 21 peserta didik pada materi kinematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur terhadap artikel yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2015-2025 dari database Google Scholar dan DOAJ. Hail penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peembelajaran dengan pendekatan steam efektif dalam mengembangkan partisipasi, hasil belajar, dan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dalam pendidikan fisika.

Abstract

Abstract In order to bridge the gap between current industry demands and vocational school curricula, university academics directly teaching Content Management System (CMS) training at vocational schools has proven to be successful. These efforts ensure that students receive comprehensive and state-of-the-art training in web development as well as management. Implementing CMS training in vocational schools gives students the golden opportunity to acquire and refine the technical skills that are so much needed in today’s digital age. The integration of CMS training into vocational school curricula forms a solid foundation for students to pursue careers in a variety of fields such as web design, digital marketing, and content management, empowering them to excel in the digital era. The results of this training show that the training participants, namely students, have successfully developed a website and mastered the use of various tools on the WordPress platform. The resulting output covers a wide range of types of websites, confirming the success of the training in equipping students with practical skills that can be applied in a variety of industry contexts. This success encourages students to seize broad and relevant career opportunities amidst rapid technological developments and market needs. Abstrak Pelatihan Content Management System (CMS) yang diberikan secara langsung oleh akademisi universitas di sekolah kejuruan membuktikan menjadi jembatan efektif dalam mengatasi kesenjangan antara tuntutan industri terkini dan kurikulum sekolah kejuruan. Upaya ini memastikan bahwa siswa mendapatkan pelatihan yang komprehensif dan mutakhir dalam pengembangan serta manajemen web. Implementasi pelatihan CMS di sekolah kejuruan memberikan siswa peluang emas untuk memperoleh dan mengasah keterampilan teknis yang sangat dibutuhkan di era digital saat ini. Integrasi pelatihan CMS di dalam kurikulum sekolah kejuruan membentuk dasar yang kokoh bagi siswa untuk mengejar karir di berbagai bidang seperti desain web, pemasaran digital, dan manajemen konten, memberdayakan mereka untuk mencapai keunggulan di era digital. Hasil dari pelatihan ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta pelatihan, yaitu siswa, berhasil mengembangkan website dan menguasai penggunaan berbagai alat dalam platform WordPress. Output yang dihasilkan meliputi beragam jenis website, menegaskan keberhasilan pelatihan dalam membekali siswa dengan keterampilan praktis yang dapat diterapkan dalam berbagai konteks industri. Keberhasilan ini mendorong para siswa untuk meraih peluang karir yang luas dan relevan di tengah pesatnya perkembangan teknologi dan kebutuhan pasar.

Abstract

STEM education is critical in current teaching because it combines science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into a unified learning experience. STEM education focuses on educating students for the changing profession by developing critical thinking and problem-solving abilities while also addressing gender inequalities in STEM disciplines. Robotics, an important component of STEM education, provides hands-on learning experiences that pique students' curiosity and practical application of STEM principles. To overcome the scarcity of talented individuals in STEM industries, educators must get STEM and robotics training. This publication describes a STEM-Robotics training program meant to help science instructors incorporate robotics into their teaching techniques. The program seeks to improve instructors' robotics education skills, create new teaching techniques, bridge theory and practice, and improve student engagement and learning results. By combining hands-on robotics activities into the curriculum, the program hopes to foster dynamic learning settings that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving abilities. This book describes the STEM-Robotics training program's rationale, organization, aims, and expected impact, emphasizing its importance in educating students for future employment in technology, engineering, and other STEM-related disciplines.

Abstract

This training emphasizes the implementation of the Project Based Learning model and Wiggle Bot as learning tools to enhance teacher engagement as training participants with knowledge about the STEM approach in modern education. In this training session, the teachers worked in groups to design and create a Wiggle Bot, which will then be integrated into the curriculum. After successfully making the Wiggle Bot, the teachers identified the STEM components present in it. This aims to enable teachers to create various STEM projects that align with the learning and concepts of the material taught in class, thereby capturing the students' attention and indirectly engaging them actively in classroom learning. The active involvement of teachers as participants indicates positive feedback from this training. This training not only enhances teachers' skills but also deepens their understanding of STEM concepts and approaches.

Abstract

This training on developing STEM-based teaching modules aims to equip science teachers with the knowledge and tools needed to create teaching materials, such as modules, that will be used in classroom learning. The development of modules is not only relevant to the curriculum but also capable of integrating STEM concepts. This STEM-based teaching module can enhance critical thinking skills and foster students' creativity to face the challenges of the 21st century. The method in this training session began with the presentation of material on STEM education, guidelines for module development, explanations of examples and types of teaching modules, and provided teachers with the opportunity to collaborate or discuss with the facilitators. Because the module that has been developed is expected to integrate STEM concepts into learning materials both in the classroom and during independent study. Thus, in this training, it is hoped that it can have a positive impact on both teachers and students so that it can be implemented effectively in the classroom with a more interactive and innovative approach, thereby increasing students' interest in learning and enhancing their ability to solve complex problems.

Abstract

This article discusses a capacity-building initiative designed to empower science educators through a systematic training program that emphasises the development of STEM-oriented teaching modules. The program emphasised the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) into lesson plans to enhance students' problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking abilities. The module's primary components included problem conceptualisation, inquiry planning, experiment execution or engineering design, data analysis, and reflection. Educators were instructed to establish learning objectives aligned with STEM principles, develop authentic assessment instruments, and employ interdisciplinary approaches in their instruction. The training outcomes indicated that educators were more proficient in designing pertinent and engaging learning experiences. This initiative illustrates the significance of equipping educators with the necessary resources to effectively instruct STEM courses in alignment with the requirements of 21st-century learners.

Abstract

Mechanical waves are an important part of high school physics, but they can be hard to understand because they are so abstract. The goal of this study was to create and test a physics-based digital exploration game that would help people understand wave phenomena. The game content included electromagnetic and mechanical waves, transverse and longitudinal waves, and the Doppler effect. This study employs a simplified instructional design model focusing on three key steps: analysis, design, and development. This model aims to enhance student engagement through the use of digital platforms and interactive learning resources such as educational games and mobile applications. Playzone was built on the CORE APPS platform. It had a shooting game set in a lab with tasks that required players to unlock objects, find clues, and get to areas that boost health. The expert reviewed the curriculum alignment, how the materials were presented, and how the evaluations worked. The assessment gave this game prototype a score of 89.33%, which means it is very feasible as learning media. These results show that the game could be very useful in the classroom because it makes learning about abstract physics concepts more fun and easier to understand by using stories and interactive activities.

Abstract

Abstract This community service program was designed to enhance the pedagogical and technological competencies of physics teachers in MGMP Fisika Jakarta by introducing them to sensor and microcontroller-based learning media. The training consisted of eight structured sessions, beginning with an introduction to microcontroller fundamentals and various types of sensors, including their working principles and real-world applications in physics education. Participants then engaged in hands-on training on operating microcontrollers and constructing measurement instruments, such as temperature and distance sensors, integrated into microcontroller systems. Teachers were also guided through the process of developing simple, sensor-based educational devices tailored to classroom use. To support effective implementation, the training included the creation of a practical guidebook and the production of demonstration videos that could be used in future instruction. Futhermore, participants learned how to build and utilize a Learning Management System (LMS) using Moodle to digitize and manage learning content. The training was delivered through a collaborative, workshop-based approach that encouraged active participation and creativity. As a result, teachers not only improved their technical skills but also gained the ability to integrate technology into physics instruction in innovative ways. The program demonstrated that equipping teachers with skills in sensor and microcontroller technology can significantly enrich STEM-based teaching and learning experiences. AbstrakProgram pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik dan teknologi guru fisika di MGMP Fisika Jakarta melalui pengenalan media pembelajaran berbasis sensor dan mikrokontroler. Pelatihan terdiri dari delapan sesi terstruktur, dimulai dengan pengenalan dasar-dasar mikrokontroler serta berbagai jenis sensor, termasuk prinsip kerjanya dan penerapannya dalam pembelajaran fisika. Peserta kemudian mengikuti pelatihan praktik langsung mengenai pengoperasian mikrokontroler dan pembuatan alat ukur seperti sensor suhu dan jarak yang terintegrasi dengan sistem mikrokontroler. Para guru juga dibimbing dalam mengembangkan perangkat edukatif sederhana berbasis sensor yang disesuaikan untuk penggunaan di kelas. Untuk mendukung implementasi yang efektif, pelatihan mencakup pembuatan buku panduan praktis dan produksi video demonstrasi yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran di masa mendatang. Selain itu, peserta belajar cara membangun dan memanfaatkan Learning Management System (LMS) menggunakan Moodle untuk mendigitalisasi dan mengelola konten pembelajaran. Pelatihan ini diselenggarakan dengan pendekatan kolaboratif berbasis lokakarya yang mendorong partisipasi aktif dan kreativitas. Hasilnya, para guru tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan teknis, tetapi juga memperoleh kemampuan untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam pembelajaran fisika secara inovatif. Program ini menunjukkan bahwa membekali guru dengan keterampilan teknologi sensor dan mikrokontroler dapat secara signifikan memperkaya pengalaman pembelajaran dan pengajaran berbasis STEM.

Abstract

Pembelajaran abad 21 harus dilakukan tanpa dipengaruhi batasan ruang dan waktu. Pembelajaran ini harus ditunjang dengan media belajar yang kontekstual, dan multi representasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat e-learning berbasis Content Management System (CMS)  Joomla yang layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika di SMA. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan model Dick and Carey. Perangkat e-learning menampilkan paparan materi secara multi representasi. Materi diperkaya video pembelajaran, latihan soal, perangkat evaluasi pembelajaran, serta forum diskusi untuk memudahkan interaksi antar siswa dan guru. Siswa belajar secara mandiri, tanpa terbatas ruang maupun waktu. Perangkat media e-learning sudah melalui tahap evaluasi formatif dengan menggunakan instrumen skala likert 1-5. Hasil uji kelayakan materi medapat nilai 86,33, kelayakan media 86,3, kelayakan pembelajaran 92,14, uji coba lapangan untuk guru Fisika 91,78, dan uji coba lapangan dengan kuisioner 85,44. Hasil uji coba penggunaan media e-learning sebagai pelengkap pembelajaran memberikan nilai-gain sebesar 0,323. Dari hasil uji kelayakan dan uji lapangan tersebut maka media E-learning berbasis CMS Joomla yang telah dikembangkan dinyatakan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika SMA dengan kualitas sangat baik. Siswa mendapatkan tambahan pengetahuan cukup signifikan setelah melakukan pembelajaran secara mandiri melalui perangkat e-learning fisika ini. Hal ini mengindikasikan media e-learning fisika SMA yang dikembangkan dengan CMS Joomla dapat digunakan sebagai pelengkap pembelajaran fisika didik SMA.
