Abstract

This research aims to explore the effectiveness of traditional Javanese cultural games in enhancing language politeness among young children. Traditional games, rich in cultural and moral values, are believed to play a significant role in shaping children's character and language skills. This study employs a qualitative approach using participatory observation and in-depth interviews with children aged 4-6 years who engage in traditional Javanese games such as 'Cublak-Cublak Suweng', 'Jamuran', and 'Benthik'. Data are analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify changes in the children's language politeness. The results indicate that participation in traditional Javanese games significantly enhances the use of polite expressions, such as 'please', 'sorry', and 'thank you', as well as the children's ability to speak in a polite tone and respect their interlocutors. Additionally, the children show improvements in their ability to speak coherently and appropriately within social contexts. The social interactions that occur during traditional games provide children with opportunities to practice language politeness in real-life situations, thereby reinforcing their understanding of the importance of communication ethics. These findings suggest that traditional Javanese cultural games serve not only as a form of entertainment but also as an effective educational medium for developing polite language skills in young children. Therefore, it is recommended that educators and parents actively integrate traditional games into children's daily activities as an effort to foster better character development. Moreover, educational policies should support the preservation and teaching of traditional games as an integral part of the early childhood education curriculum.   ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas permainan tradisional budaya Jawa dalam meningkatkan kesantunan bahasa pada anak usia dini. Permainan tradisional, yang kaya akan nilai-nilai budaya dan moral, diyakini memiliki peran penting dalam pembentukan karakter dan keterampilan berbahasa anak. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode observasi partisipatif dan wawancara mendalam terhadap anak-anak usia 4-6 tahun yang terlibat dalam permainan tradisional Jawa seperti 'Cublak-Cublak Suweng', 'Jamuran',dakon, lompat tali dan 'layang-layang'. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis konten untuk mengidentifikasi perubahan dalam kesantunan bahasa anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi dalam permainan tradisional Jawa secara signifikan meningkatkan penggunaan ungkapan-ungkapan santun, seperti penggunaan kata 'tolong', 'maaf', dan 'terima kasih', serta meningkatkan kemampuan anak dalam berbicara dengan nada yang sopan dan menghormati lawan bicara. Selain itu, anak-anak juga menunjukkan peningkatan dalam kemampuan berbicara secara koheren dan sesuai konteks sosial. Interaksi sosial yang terjadi dalam permainan tradisional memberikan anak-anak kesempatan untuk mempraktikkan kesantunan bahasa dalam situasi nyata, yang pada gilirannya memperkuat pemahaman mereka tentang pentingnya etika berkomunikasi. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa permainan tradisional budaya Jawa tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai media edukatif yang efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berbahasa yang santun pada anak usia dini. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar pendidik dan orang tua lebih aktif mengintegrasikan permainan tradisional dalam kegiatan sehari-hari anak sebagai upaya pembentukan karakter yang lebih baik. Selain itu, kebijakan pendidikan juga perlu mendukung pelestarian dan pengajaran permainan tradisional sebagai bagian integral dari kurikulum pendidikan anak usia dini.

Abstract

In an effort to keep the age developments in the publication world up-to-date on accredited journals and international journals requires the author to write the article using mendeley's application. Writing articles and scientific works is essential to improving the quality and quality of the lecturer and of the student completing the final task in particular. Currently the student who wrote the scientific work, making the quotations and library lists was still manual and did not have the knowledge in using mendeley's application. The purpose of this community's devotion activity is to improve the ability and interest of the students in writing scientific works. The method used in the workshop activity is conducted with lecture on the materials understanding of the mendeley application, discussion and continued practice for participants for installation, account making to create sittings and references. Participants on this activity are students at the mamba 'ul ulum surakarta. The results of this workshop show increased student interest in scientific writing and also show that students are able to perform installations and are able to use mendeley's applications to create sitations, manage references, reference lists and climate Settings.

Abstract

This study aims to develop innovative learning media through the introduction of numbers with "Mama Rare" lamp media in early childhood. In the process of learning activities, learning media greatly determines the success in mastering the material provided. One of the most important factors in developing early childhood learning media is designing learning media to be interactive and attract children's attention and encourage children to be actively involved in the learning process. This research was conducted using the R&D(Research and Development) approach. In the initial development process, researchers consulted with media experts, material experts and field experts (Early Childhood Education). The next stage was an initial trial with a sample of 20 students, followed by a final trial on 30 students and analyzed with the t test. The results showed that: 1) In the needs analysis found the need for innovative learning media Mama Langka to introduce numbers in early childhood, 2) Learning Media that is suitable for use as a means of teacher learning media is made by considering an attractive appearance so as to make learning media easier to understand, not boring, and easy to carry everywhere. 3) Mama Langka Innovative Learning Media is effectively used to introduce numbers in early childhood. This can be seen from the significance value obtained is 0.000 <0.05. The t test in the initial trial that the tcount is 12,010> t table 1.725 and the final stage of the tcount is 17,218> t table 1.725, which means that based on the pretest and posttest that has been done to 30 children at PAUD RA Chairunnisa Sukoharjo, there is a difference in the ability to recognize numbers before and after using innovative learning media "Mama Langka".

Abstract

Dalam rangka menciptakan masyarakat yang lebih inklusif, damai, dan penuh toleransi terhadap perbedaan agama, penting untuk memulai pembentukan nilai dan karakter sejak usia dini.  Video interaktif memiliki potensi untuk menarik perhatian anak-anak, memberikan pengalaman belajar yang mendalam, dan menciptakan atmosfer yang bersifat partisipatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu wawancara dan kuesioner. Prosedur pengembangan ini mengacu pada pengembangan model ADDIE. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan bahwa uji validitas oleh 2 orang expert dikategorikan sangat valid, uji praktikalitas dilakukan oleh 1 orang guru dikategorikan sangat praktis, sedangkan efektifitas dilakukan oleh 13 orang anak dengan kategori efektif dan 2 orang anak dengan kategori tidak efektif. Media video pembelajaran interaktif dapat mempermudah guru dalam menyampaikan sikap toleransi. Selain itu, media video pembelajaran yang dikembangkan didesain secara menarik supaya anak dapat memahami sikap- sikap toleransi.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted for PKK members in Bulan village, Wonosari district, Klaten. The purpose of holding this community service activity is to instill character in an effort to instill a sense of love for the homeland. Therefore, we intend to conduct community service activities. With the hope that it can provide additional knowledge to PKK members to become agents of change in fostering a sense of nationalism and concern for the country. And can increase the awareness of the importance of the role of each individual, especially among the Z generation in building and protecting the homeland, and encourage active participation in social, cultural and community activities. It can also strengthen the values of togetherness, unity, and the spirit of gotong royong in the community of Bulan Village. Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to provide examples of various activities that can be implemented in each PAUD institution, namely Independence activities that contain many benefits, especially in instilling character in children. Characters that can be developed such as the character of love for the country, patriotism, brave, responsible, honest, willing to sacrifice, helpful, respect for differences, etc. The methods used in this training activity are preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation method includes meeting with 35 teachers at RA Chairunnisa to coordinate activities. The implementation method includes material presentation on the preparation of P5 independence activities from the beginning stage, development stage and conclusion stage. In addition, the practice of making Independence activities by making a variety of Indonesian traditional costumes, making war equipment such as guns, swords, rifles and simulating independence competitions. The evaluation method is in the form of discussions and questions and answers between participants and resource persons. The result is that teachers understand how the steps in the preparation of project activities to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students (P5), teachers have ideas and ideas for preparing interesting activities on Independence Day that contain many benefits, especially in instilling children's character.

Abstract

This PKM activity was attended by 40 teacher representatives from several Early Childhood Education Institutions (PAUD) in Surakarta. This dedication aims to enable teachers to develop creativity in creating learning media such as Educational Tools by utilizing objects that are around such as natural materials or loosepart. The methods used are preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparatory methods include the formation of committees, the division of tasks and coordination with the source. The implementation method includes the presentation of material by the source and the practice of creating learning media. The evaluation phase is a discussion and a question answer between the workshop participants and the source. The result of this PKM activity is that teachers acquire practical skills in creating creative and interesting teaching materials. In addition, Teachers can develop and use a variety of appropriate learning media to teach moral and religious values of labor as a tool, as well as visual media so that learning is interesting and enjoyable for children.

Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PjBL) serves as an effective strategy for developing students’ discipline and responsibility while strengthening the core values of the Profil Pelajar Pancasila within the Merdeka Curriculum framework. This study aims to describe the implementation of PjBL in fostering disciplined and responsible character among students at SDN Kebrengan and to analyze its impact on reinforcing the values of the Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Employing a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques, the study found that PjBL effectively nurtures students’ discipline, responsibility, collaboration, and independence through contextual project activities such as creating learning tools from recycled materials. The model not only enhances academic skills but also serves as an effective medium for instilling moral and social values through reflective learning experiences. Despite challenges such as varying levels of student independence and time limitations, PjBL aligns with the spirit of the Merdeka Curriculum that emphasizes meaningful learning. In conclusion, PjBL contributes significantly to strengthening students’ discipline and responsibility while serving as a strategic alternative for promoting the Profil Pelajar Pancasila in elementary education.

Abstract

Character education is an important aspect of the educational process which aims to shape individual personality and morals. In the context of human and societal development, character education has a very crucial role. Moral and ethical education is one of the efforts in forming children's character. The research method used in this research is field research, which collects data directly from the research location.  Then using a descriptive qualitative research type, this research shows the results that moral and ethical education such as moral stories, role playing, small group discussions, collaborative projects, instilling positive habits, appreciation for positive behavior, and collaboration with parents can help shape children's character from an early age. early, brings long-term benefits in forming individuals with integrity, responsibility and care for other people and their environment. This is proven by the differences in children's characters before the child enters RA Amanah Ummah and after the child graduates from RA Amanah Ummah.   ABSTRAK Pendidikan karakter merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam proses pendidikan yang bertujuan untuk membentuk kepribadian dan moral individu. Dalam konteks perkembangan manusia dan masyarakat, pendidikan karakter memiliki peran yang sangat krusial. Pendidikan moral dan etika adalah salah satu upaya dalam pembentukan karakter anak. Metode penelitian  yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah  penelitian lapangan  (field  research) yang  dalam mengumpulkan  datanya  dilakukan  secara  langsung  dari  lokasi  penelitian.  Kemudian  menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif Penelitian ini menunjukan hasil bahwa pendidikan moral dan etika seperti cerita moral, permainan peran, diskusi kelompok kecil, proyek kolaboratif, penanaman kebiasaan positf, penghargaan atas perilaku positif, dan kerjasama dengan orang tua dapat membantu membentuk karakter anak sejak usia dini, membawa manfaat jangka panjang dalam membentuk individu yang berintegritas, bertanggung jawab, dan peduli terhadap orang lain dan lingkungannya. Hal ini terbukti dengan adanya perbedaan karakter anak ketika sebelum anak masuk di RA Amanah Ummah dan setelah anak lulus dari RA Amanah Ummah.

Abstract

The development of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) has become a key priority in contemporary Islamic Religious Education (IRE) to foster students”™ critical, analytical, and reflective thinking. This study aims to examine the innovation of HOTS-based learning methodologies in Islamic Religious Education at State Senior High School 1 Karanganyar. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and school leaders, and document analysis of lesson plans and instructional materials. The data were analyzed using an interactive model involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that HOTS-based learning in IRE is implemented through problem-based learning, contextual learning activities, open-ended questioning, and reflective discussions that actively engage students in higher-level cognitive processes. However, the implementation faces several challenges, including teachers limited pedagogical competence in HOTS-oriented instruction, constraints in learning time allocation, and students varied academic readiness. Despite these challenges, HOTS-based methodology innovation contributes positively to improving students”™ critical thinking, learning engagement, and conceptual understanding in Islamic Religious Education. This study highlights the importance of continuous professional development and institutional support in strengthening HOTS-based pedagogical practices in secondary Islamic education.
