Abstract

This research delineates the significant role of Posyandu in improving toddler health in Kotasari Hamlet, Kalensari Village. Through structured monthly activities, Posyandu effectively monitors the development of 12 toddlers consistently. Despite occasional attendance surpassing expectations, the study concludes that Posyandu holds a pivotal role in enhancing toddler health. Routine activities, including registration, data collection, weight measurement, height assessment, and growth recording in the KMS book, are consistently conducted. Posyandu also provides immunizations, health education, and basic care for pregnant women. Collaboration with local health centers and non-governmental organizations expands access to healthcare, including training healthcare personnel and procuring medical equipment. The primary focus on toddler health involves providing nutrition, immunizations, and growth monitoring. The holistic nutrition education program and timely immunizations serve as significant preventive measures. Regular monitoring, including weight measurements, height assessments, and growth data recording, forms the basis for early identification of health issues. Consequently, Posyandu in Kotasari Hamlet is not just a physical health center but also a platform for education and stimulation of child development, supporting optimal health and growth for toddlers in the region. The method applied in this community service program is socialization, aimed at delving deeper through a participatory and interactive approach. This socialization method encompasses various educational activities, community meetings, and the utilization of information technology as an effective means of conveying information to the public.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effectiveness of the Learning and Mini-Research Integration Program in improving the quality of Islamic education in the Islamic Education Management Study Program of STAI Darussalam Kunir. It focuses on research management, program implementation, and supporting and inhibiting factors. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation from LPPM, study program leaders, students, staff, and partner school principals, then analyzed through reduction, display, and verification with triangulation and member checking. The results show that the program is quite effective. Research management is conducted through structured planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation. The integration of learning and mini-research creates more contextual learning by linking theory with field data. The program also improves students’ research skills, supports lecturers’ tridharma, strengthens academic culture, and benefits partner institutions. The main obstacle is students’ limited research competence, but this is supported by institutional policies, lecturer involvement, and partner networks. In conclusion, the program is an effective strategy to enhance the quality of Islamic education through research-based learning, improved student competence, and strengthened academic culture.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to improve public speaking skills and self-confidence among children in Mangun Jaya Village through speech training. The program was initiated due to children’s lack of courage and limited experience in public speaking caused by inadequate facilities and guidance. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving 30 children aged 9–13. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The training was conducted over seven days, covering the introduction of speech, basic techniques, script reading practice, simulations, feedback sessions, and a speech contest. The results indicated significant improvement in the children’s courage, intonation, articulation, eye contact, and self-confidence. Support from parents and local authorities also contributed to the program’s success. Despite limitations in time and facilities, the program proved effective in addressing children’s low public speaking skills. In the future, the program can be developed further by adding materials such as debates, presentations, or drama to broaden communication skills.

Abstract

Limited fine motor skills represent a significant challenge for students at Bauzan Jaya Early Childhood Education (PAUD), where the daily learning process does not optimally facilitate the development of these essential skills. This problem is rooted in the lack of variety in interesting and relevant learning methods and media, resulting in suboptimal stimulation of students' fine motor skills. The main objective of this community service activity is to improve students' fine motor skills through the implementation of a cow milking simulation training method. The implementation method of this activity is carried out through three main stages: (1) observation and needs analysis to identify students' initial level of fine motor skills and the availability of resources; (2) designing and creating safe and attractive cow milking simulation media; and (3) implementing practical training in cow milking simulations involving squeezing, pinching, and pressing activities. The results demonstrate a significant increase in students' fine motor skills, particularly in aspects of eye-hand coordination, finger strength, and dexterity in grasping and releasing objects. The activity also yielded the diversification of innovative, effective, and enjoyable learning methods, which directly contribute to increasing students' readiness to enter the next level of education. This activity successfully provided an easily adaptable and sustainable alternative learning medium for Bauzan Jaya PAUD teachers to use.
