Abstract

Tulisan ini mendeskripsikan dimensi etika dalam pengajaran patriotisme lokal di sekolah. Patriotisme lokal dapat diajarkan melalui beragam metode dan model pembelajaran. Namun, muatan nilai dalam patriotisme lokal lebih efektif dieksplorasi dengan metode pembelajaran yang mengandalkan proses eksplorasi dan aktivitas seperti diskusi dan bermain peran. Metode itu aplikatif dalam model pencarian dan penemuan. Model pembelajaran inovatif yang berbasis pada ektivitas peserta didik mampu mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir rasional dan sekaligus menginternalisasi nilai yang terkandung dalam kisah-kisah patriotisme lokal. Proses pencarian dan penemuan itu akan melatih peserta didik untuk berpikir akademis, untuk memaknai sejarah sebagai satu pengetahuan yang dibentuk dengan proses kritis. Pengembangan pengetahuan patriotisme lokal itu juga perlu didukung oleh wawasan guru yang aktual tentang lingkungan historis di sekitar sekolah, guru yang aktif dalam menelaah sejarah-sejarah under cover, yang belum banyak dibicarakan di kelas sejarah. Kesimpulannya, menginternalisasi dan mengeksplorasi dimensi etika dalam pengajaran patriotisme lokal relevan dilakukan untuk mengembangkan wawasan baru dan kemampuan telaah kritis peserta didik terhadap potensi sejarah lokal di sekitar mereka.

Abstract

This study analyzes the curriculum's influence, collective memory formation, and alternative approaches to learning history. This research was carried out using qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The data in this study consisted of 3 sources: informants, documents, and learning activities. Data analysis applied Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). The research findings show that, as a reference document, the curriculum also has a negative impact on teachers, one of which is the perception that the curriculum is a rigid document and inhibits teacher freedom. So that in learning history, collective memory is formed based on official history, which is very difficult for teachers to provide information about alternative history. Teachers must implement alternative learning approaches such as humanism, critical pedagogy, and reflective approaches. To create a more enjoyable learning atmosphere and to accommodate all groups in Indonesia to be involved in discussing the history of their nation, which is humane and free from grudges and hatred.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan penggunaan media bagi guru sejarah Kabupaten Semarang melalui pelatihan pemanfaatan podcast dalam pembelajaran. Secara teknis, pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatiihan yang dirancang sebagai berikut: 1) Persiapan. Pada tahap persiapan ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis permasalahan secara lebih mendalam dan merumuskan langkah strategis dalam penyelesaian permasalahan tersebut; 2) Pelaksanaan Kegiatan. Mempersiapkan pedoman pemanfaatan podcast untuk kegiatan pembelajaran. Mempersiapkan hotline yang memberikan pelayanan konsultasi pada guru. Pelatihan pemanfaatan media podcast untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru. Pendampingan yang dilaksanakan rutin selama satu bulan sekali (berjalan 8 bulan). Pendampingan tersebut dilaksanakan secara online melalui media sosial (Whatsapp Group) dan offline yaitu secara tatap muka langsung; dan 3) Evaluasi dan monitoring kegiatan. Evaluasi dan monitoring kegiatan dilakukan secara periodik dengan melibatkan anggota pelaksana dan mitra kegiatan. Setiap tahap evaluasi akan dilaksanakan secara keseluruhan untuk mengetahui derajat keberhasilan kegiatan berdasarkan target yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil evaluasi tahap pertama akan dijadikan dasar untuk pelaksanaan tahap kedua dan seterusnya. Luaran yang ditargetkan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu: 1) Publikasi Ilmiah; 2) Publikasi di Media Massa Elektronik; dan 3) Video Highlight Kegiatan

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini yaitu upaya peningkatan keterampilan publikasi di media massa bagi guru sejarah di Kabupaten Semarang melalui pelatihan artikel populer. Permasalahan yang mendasari kegiatan ini yaitu guru yang belum familiar dengan aktivitas penulisan dan publikasi, mempersiapkan naskah publikasi, dan teknis pengiriman naskah ke redaktur media massa. Berdasarkan analisis situasi dan permasalahan mitra yang telah diidentifikasi, Tim Pengabdi telah menyusun strategi untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan di atas, berikut kegiatan yang diperlukan untuk menyelesaikan masalah: Pelatihan penulisan artikel populer untuk publikasi di media massa dan Pendampingan penulisan artikel populer untuk publikasi di media massa. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini mengacu sistematika berikut: Pembentukan tim, perumusan tujuan, identifikasi stakeholders, pengumpulan dan analisis kebutuhan, penentuan prioritas solusi masalah, persiapan, implementasi, pendampingan, review dan evaluasi, dan menentukan kebutuhan dan sasaran baru. Luaran pengabdian yang telah ditentukan yaitu: Publikasi di jurnal nasional terakreditasi Sinta, Berita pada media massa elektronik, dan Video highlight kegiatan yang diunggah pada YouTube

Abstract

Sasaran kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah guru-guru sejarah SMA di Kabupaten Semarang. Berdasarkan observasi awal dengan ketua MGMP dan beberapa guru dapat disimpulkan bahwa para guru sejarah tersebut dipandang perlu mendapatkan pelatihan dan pendampingan tentang pemanfaatan model pembelajaran inovatif. Dalam kegiatan pelatihan kali ini ditargetkan sekitar 20 guru SMA anggota MGMP sejarah Kabupaten Semarang dapat mengikuti kegiatan. Strategi dan langkah-langkah yang kami harapkan dapat diterapkan dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini diantaranya (a) Observasi awal dengan curah pendapat, pengalaman, kendala dan gagasan tentang penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka khususnya penerapan pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran sejarah dengan pengurus MGMP dan guru sejarah SMA di Kabupaten Semarang, kegiatan ini telah dilaksanakan bersamaan dengan pendampingan Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan (PLP) tahun 2022 dan kegiatan MGMP sebelumnya; (b) Presentasi tentang sintaks pendekatan saintifik, pemanfaatan model pembelajaran inovatif dalam modul ajar; (c) Bimbingan teknis dan praktik pemanfaatan model pembelajaran inovatif; (d) Pendampingan kepada peserta dalam penerapan hasil pelatihan. Kegiatan pendampingan ini direncanakan di 2 sekolah mitra pelatihan dengan masing-masing dikunjungi 3 kali. Kunjungan pertama pendampingan praktik implementasi hasil pelatihan kemudian dilanjutkan refleksi bersama sebagai bahan masukan untuk praktik kedua demikian seterusnya sampai pendampingan ketiga. Dalam pendampingan ketiga diharapkan semua peserta sudah terbiasa menerapkan hasil pelatihan sekaligus mendorong siswa untuk menghasilkan karya sebagai penguatan ketrampilan literasi bagi siswa; dan (e) Kegiatan terakhir adalah Evaluasi baik oleh tim pengabdian maupun MGMP sejarah. Dengan mengikuti kegiatan ini secara serius maka guru mata pelajaran sejarah dapat mengembangkan sekaligus memanfaatkan model-model pembelajaran yang inovatif. Hasil yang diharapkan yaitu tumbuhnya kreatifitas guru dan siswa dan meningkatnya motivasi dan kesadaran sejarah siswa. Luaran pengabdian yang telah ditentukan yaitu: Publikasi di jurnal nasional terakreditasi Sinta, Berita pada media massa elektronik, dan Video highlight kegiatan yang diunggah pada YouTube.

Abstract

The integration of technology in history learning is very important, but teaching techniques and competence in developing enjoyable learning situations are no less important. The problem that has been identified is that history teachers in Central Java Province are not familiar with edutainment in concept or practice. This is a challenge for the Service Team to be able to resolve this problem. Quizizz media-based edutainment is a means of creating an interactive and creative learning atmosphere. Technically, the implementation of quizizz media-based edutainment training activities for AGSI Central Java Province is as follows: Preparation. This preparation stage is carried out to analyze the problem in more depth and formulate strategic steps in resolving the problem. Implementation of Activities. Preparing a guidebook on implementing quizizz media-based edutainment. Preparing a hotline that provides consultation services to teachers regarding the implementation of the independent learning Focus Group Discussion (FGD) policy and outreach regarding the implementation of quizizz media-based edutainment. Mentoring is carried out regularly once a month (running for 8 months). This assistance is carried out online via social media (Whatsapp Group) and offline, namely face to face. Evaluation and monitoring of activities. Evaluation and monitoring of activities is carried out periodically by involving implementing members and activity partners. Each evaluation stage will be carried out as a whole to determine the degree of success of the activity based on the targets that have been set. The results of the first stage evaluation will be used as a basis for implementation in the second year and beyond.

Abstract

This study aims to critique the textual narrative of heroic history, with a particular focus on the philosophy of the Local Hero, the integration of Local Heroes into history classes, and the academic community's reception of the Local Hero concept. Employing a qualitative approach with a critical ethnographic design, the research reveals several key findings: 1) The Local Hero concept is philosophically well-suited for teaching local history; 2) History classes become more engaging when popular concepts are incorporated, especially given that the millennial generation tends to be less interested in overly political or elitist historical narratives, making the Local Hero concept particularly relevant; and 3) The concept receives positive feedback from both educators and students in the classroom. Based on these findings, the researcher concludes that there is a current need for innovation in history teaching to align with contemporary values and interests.

Abstract

This research explores the influence of epistemic cognition and memory on students' understanding and narrative competence in learning the history of the Independence Revolution at SMA N 1 Semarang (a High School), using a qualitative case study approach. Data was obtained from classroom observations, student, and teacher interviews, as well as analysis of documents related to curriculum and learning practices. The research results show that understanding epistemological concepts, such as the nature of historical knowledge, influences students' understanding of historical material. Students who better understand the nature of historical knowledge tend to relate the material to personal and social experiences and construct critical historical narratives. The role of memory in shaping students' narrative competence is also important; consistency in remembering the chronology and relationship of events as well as the influence of emotions influence students' understanding. Student involvement, such as participation in discussions and teacher support, also influences the quality of learning. In conclusion, understanding epistemic cognition and the role of memory can help design effective learning strategies, while research implications highlight the importance of responsive curriculum development, support for teacher professional development, and collaboration between teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the teacher's world view of sensitive and controversial issues in history learning. This research was carried out using qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. This study involved 90 participants. Data collection in this study used interview techniques relying on two techniques: first, one-on-one interviews with informants and second, group interviews or clustered discussions. Analysis of the research data using an interactive model. The results of this study indicate that the concept of sensitive and controversial issues in history learning has an important position for developing the thinking skills of prospective history teachers. To be able to manage sensitive and controversial issues requires an understanding of innovative learning strategies and evaluations. This study concludes that sensitive and controversial issues in history learning need to be mastered by history teacher candidates who are currently studying, so that this knowledge can have implications for history lessons that train critical thinking skills in schools.

Abstract

This research aims to develop electronic teaching materials in the form of handouts regarding the dynamics of the Gondang Winangun Sugar Factory since the Malaise crisis for students of SMA N 2 Klaten (a high school). This development focuses on two main challenges: first, although students are enthusiastic about interactive history learning, teachers need more engaging and easy-to-understand teaching materials; Second, although students are interested in local history, local historical resources are often limited and difficult to access. This teaching material is presented digitally as an interactive website accessed through various electronic devices. The research method uses Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, including the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data was obtained through observations, interviews, and questionnaires from validators, history teachers, and students. The assessment results showed that this teaching material obtained an average assessment percentage of 82.3% from media experts, 90.2% from material experts, 91.1% from history teachers, and 88% from students. With these results, electronic handouts are considered feasible and effective as alternative teaching materials at SMA N 2 Klaten, especially for class XI.
