Abstract

Dalam rangka meningkatkan kesadaran anak-anak akan pentingnya memeriksa tanggal kadaluarsa pada makanan dan minuman, kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat dengan topik belajar pentingnya memeriksa tanggal kadaluarsa pada produk makanan dan minuman yang diadakan di Rumah Belajar Cerita Savana, Bangkala, Kecamatan Manggala, Kota Makassar, pada tanggal 16 Mei 2024. Anak-anak diajarkan tentang risiko mengkonsumsi makanan dan minuman kadaluarsa dan cara yang benar untuk menyimpannya melalui edukasi interaktif. Hasilnya menunjukkan, pemahaman dan perilaku anak-anak tentang keamanan konsumsi meningkat, dan mereka mulai mengedukasi teman dan keluarga mereka tentang hal ini. Program ini menunjukkan bagaimana teknik yang efektivitas dan menyenangkan dapat menumbuhkan perilaku yang bertanggung jawab dan sehat.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of women's roles from housewives to online entrepreneurs in Makassar City and identify the driving factors and challenges faced in this process. The research approach used was descriptive qualitative with purposive sampling of women transitioning to digital entrepreneurship through platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Shopee. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources and methods. The results show that Makassar women have experienced significant social transformations along with the development of digital technology. Social media plays a crucial role in transforming domestic activities into productive economic activities. Key driving factors include economic needs, technological convenience, and social support from family and community. This transformation demonstrates the conversion of social capital into economic capital, as described by Bourdieu and Coleman, where trust and social networks are key forces for women's empowerment. Despite facing challenges such as dual role conflict, limited digital literacy, and limited access to capital, women demonstrate high social resilience by leveraging community networks and local solidarity. This research confirms that women's empowerment in the digital era depends not only on technological mastery, but also on the ability to manage and maintain social capital as a sustainable economic force.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of parents' roles in shaping children's gender understanding in Makassar City, particularly within the context of the intersection of traditional Bugis-Makassar values and modern urban values. This study employed qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach, involving ten informants, parents of children aged 5–12. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. Data validity was maintained through triangulation of sources, techniques, and member checking. The findings of this study highlight three main points. First, parents' roles in childcare are still heavily influenced by traditional role divisions, with mothers being more dominant in the domestic sphere and fathers in the public sphere. This pattern shapes gender symbols that children internalize from an early age. Second, family parenting is in a phase of negotiation between traditional and modern values. Young families tend to adopt egalitarian patterns, but pressures from tradition and the extended family maintain the strength of traditional values. Third, children respond differently to gender messages. Some adhere to family values, while others question gender boundaries due to exposure to digital media and more egalitarian school environments. These findings reinforce Mead's Symbolic Interactionism perspective, which states that children's gender identity is formed through the process of interpreting symbols from their parents' behavior and their social environment. Overall, this study concludes that children's gender understanding is the result of a dynamic interaction between parenting styles, local culture, and the influence of modernity. Therefore, gender education in families needs to be directed toward a more equal, reflective, and responsive pattern to social development.

Abstract

The Sejahtera Women's Farmers Group (KWT) in Kabba Village faces limitations in economic aspects, particularly in utilizing local entrepreneurship potential. The group does not yet have a well-organized productive business activity, despite the significant potential for cultivating ornamental plants such as cactus and succulents. The goal of this empowerment program is to enhance the economic capacity of KWT members through training, mentoring, and the application of technology in developing creative entrepreneurship based on cactus and succulents, thus creating an independent, competitive, and sustainable women’s business group. The solutions offered in this community service project include several interventions. In the production sector, the partners will be provided with cactus and succulent cultivation training. In business management, a simple administrative system will be introduced, covering financial record-keeping, stock management, and business planning. In the marketing aspect, the partners will be taught packaging techniques and digital marketing strategies through social media and digital platforms.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Pengaruh lingkungan keluarga terhadap hasil belajar sosiologis siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 4 Makassar, 2) Pengaruh pengelolaan kelas terhadap hasil belajar sosiologis siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 4 Makassar, 3) Pengaruh lingkungan keluarga dan pengelolaan kelas terhadap hasil belajar sosiologi kelas X di SMA Negeri 4 Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei, jumlah populasi 432 orang. Pengambilan besaran sampel ditentukan melalui rumus Slovin , menggunakan teknik Proportional Stratified Random Sampling dengan perolehan sampel sebanyak 81 responden. Proses pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengambilan data melalui uji validitas menggunakan teknik Bivariate Pearson dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan teknik Cronbach Alpha . Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji statistik deskriptif dan uji statistik inferensial dengan pengolahan data melalui aplikasi IBM SPSS versi 21. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Terdapat pengaruh lingkungan keluarga terhadap hasil belajar sosiologi siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 4 Makassar. Dibuktikan dengan hasil uji T dengan nilai thitung (8,098) > ttabel ( 1,990) dan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Kontribusi lingkungan keluarga berada pada kategori “baik” dengan persentase 79,82%. 2) Terdapat pengaruh pegelolaan kelas terhadap hasil belajar sosiologi siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 4 Makassar. Dibuktikan dengan hasil uji T dengan nilai thitung (9,692) > ttabel ( 1,990) dan nilai signifikan 0,000 < 0,05. Kontribusi pengelolaan kelas berada pada kategori “sangat baik” dengan persentase 80,52%. 3) Terdapat pengaruh secara simultan antara lingkungan keluarga dan pengelolaan kelas terhadap hasil belajar sosiologi siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 4 Makassar. Hal ini dibuktikan pada tabel uji F dengan perolehan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dan nilai F hitung (91,818) > F tabel (3,11). Hasil tabel koefisien determinan R 2 “ Model Summary ” menunjukkan nilai R square sebesar 0,702. Artinya, variabel lingkungan keluarga (X 1 ) dan pengelolaan kelas (X 2 ) secara simultan memberikan kontribusi sebesar 70,2% terhadap hasil belajar sosiologi (Y), sedangkan kesejahteraan yaitu 29,8% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain tidak termasuk dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konstruksi stigma pekerjaan perempuan pada profesi guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) di Kota Makassar serta dampaknya terhadap status sosial dan profesionalitas guru, menggunakan perspektif Feminisme Kritis. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi kritis. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Informan terdiri dari 12 guru PAUD (10 perempuan dan 2 laki-laki), dua kepala sekolah PAUD, serta satu pengelola lembaga PAUD yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis tematik dengan teknik triangulasi sumber dan metode untuk menjaga validitas temuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa stigma pekerjaan perempuan terbentuk melalui konstruksi sosial yang menganggap kerja pengasuhan sebagai peran alami perempuan. Stereotip feminin seperti lembut, sabar, dan penuh kasih mengaburkan profesionalitas guru PAUD serta menyebabkan profesi ini dipandang rendah secara sosial dan ekonomis. Rendahnya partisipasi laki-laki semakin memperkuat feminisasi dan persepsi non-prestisius terhadap profesi ini. Penelitian juga menemukan bahwa guru PAUD mengembangkan strategi perlawanan melalui negosiasi identitas profesional, peningkatan kompetensi, redefinisi makna kerja, serta penguatan solidaritas melalui komunitas guru. Kesimpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa stigma berbasis gender memiliki dampak struktural terhadap profesionalitas guru PAUD dan harus diatasi melalui kebijakan pendidikan yang sensitif gender serta penguatan pemberdayaan guru.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze family economic resilience through home-based businesses among young couples in Makassar City, focusing on the type of business they run, the economic resilience strategies they implement, and the division of roles between husband and wife in managing the business and making economic decisions. The research approach used a qualitative method with a case study design. Informants were selected through a purposive sampling technique involving young couples aged 20–40 who run home-based businesses. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and supporting documentation such as business records and activity photos. The data analysis technique used thematic analysis through a process of data reduction, coding, categorization, and drawing out key themes relevant to the research focus. The results show that young couples run various forms of home-based businesses such as culinary, home services, and online sales that contribute significantly to family income. The economic resilience strategies implemented include income diversification, saving expenses, disciplined financial management, and utilizing social networks. In addition, the division of roles between husband and wife is carried out collaboratively and egalitarian, with decision-making carried out jointly. This study confirms that home-based businesses play a significant role in strengthening the economic resilience and stability of young families in urban areas.

Abstract

Tanaman refugia merupakan salah satu metode agroekologis yang dapat digunakan untuk pengendalian hama secara alami melalui pelestarian musuh alami. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani terkait manfaat tanaman refugia dalam sistem pertanian berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Ka'ba, Kabupaten Pangkep, dengan mitra sasaran Kelompok Tani setempat. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri atas pemberian angket awal (pre-test), penyampaian materi melalui metode ceramah, pembagian bibit refugia, serta evaluasi melalui angket akhir (post-test). Hasil kegiatan pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman petani mengenai fungsi ekologis tanaman refugia, dengan 95% peserta menunjukkan peningkatan skor angket setelah sosialisasi. Selain itu, peserta menyatakan kepuasan terhadap materi, metode, dan manfaat kegiatan. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan dan distribusi tanaman refugia efektif dalam membangun kesadaran petani terhadap pengendalian hama ramah lingkungan.
