Abstract

Indonesia, with its long-term economic development plan spanning 20 years, divided into five-year medium-term plans, recognizes the importance of both foreign and domestic investments in driving its economic growth. The country presents opportunities across various sectors, as the increasing income levels can influence Indonesian consumers' interest in imported products and services. However, investing in Indonesia comes with unique risks and challenges, considering the country's dynamic context. To ensure successful investments, it is crucial for investors to understand Indonesian culture and the preferences of local consumers. This understanding can help tailor products and services to suit the local market, thus enhancing the chances of success. Additionally, the Indonesian government has implemented strategies to diversify the economy, focusing on priority sectors that can further stimulate economic growth. Foreign and domestic investments play a vital role in contributing to Indonesia's economic growth. These investments not only infuse capital into the country but also bring in technological advancements, job opportunities, and knowledge transfer. To attract investments, the Indonesian government has been implementing policies to improve the ease of doing business and create a favorable investment climate.

Abstract

Macroeconomics is the study of economic activity in a country. Macroeconomic indicators are inflation, unemployment, and economic growth. The purpose of this study is to see the effect of unemployment and inflation on economic growth in North Sumatra. This study uses the multiple regression method where the data is taken from 1998-2022 per semester. Finally, this study only shows that unemployment has a significant effect on economic growth, while inflation has no significant effect on economic growth.

Abstract

Poverty is a problem in a complex and multidimensional economy. Therefore it is necessary to find a solution to overcome or at least reduce the level of poverty. This study aims to analyze the effect of the level of economic growth on the level of poverty in the province of North Sumatra. The author uses library research instruments, documentation studies, internet browsing, where the data taken is secondary data from related agencies, especially the Central Bureau of Statistics of North Sumatra, and in analyzing the data using a simple linear regression analysis technique. The results of data processing show that economic growth has a negative and significant effect on poverty rates in the province of North Sumatra.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the open unemployment rate and inflation on economic growth in Lampung Province. The data used in this study covers the period from 2007 to 2021. The results show that the open unemployment rate has a significant negative effect on economic growth in Lampung Province. A high unemployment rate indicates a low level of labor involvement in economic activity, which has an impact on overall economic performance.

Abstract

Pulau Samosir merupakan salah satu destinasi wisata yang sangat ramai dikunjungi,selain dikenal dengan budaya yang sangat unik, Samosir juga dikelilingi dengan objek-objek yang menarik baik dibidang kuliner maupun kearifan lokalnya. Salah satu objek wisata yang sangat memukau perhatian para wisatawan adalah Ecovillage Desa Silimalombu. Wisata Ecovillage ini dikenal dengan nama Silimalombu Ecovillage atau Desa Wisata Silimalombu. Desa ini menawarkan sebuah wisata dengan konsep alam yang sangat asri.Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah (1). Meningkatkan jiwa kewirausahaan, (2). Mampu menghasilkan produk lokal dari alam yaitu minyak kemiri, wine mango, saniteser buah-buahan, dan roti citarasa lokal. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, diskusi, pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah terjadi peningkatan jiwa kewirausahaan serta peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam mengolah hasil alam (hutan) menjadi berbagai jenis produk yang bernilai tinggi untuk mengembangkan ekonomi kreatif dari Desa Wisata Silimalombu, Kecamatan Onanrunggu, Kabupaten Samosir.

Abstract

Early financial education outreach activities are designed to educate young people about the correct use of money, wise financial management, the importance of saving for the future and entrepreneurship from an early age. Activities carried out at SDN 096135 Rambung Merah Siantar. The educational method used includes delivering material through direct teaching. Focus group discussions to provide input and evaluation of services. The results of the activity show that children have a low level of education and entrepreneurship, understand money only as a tool to buy the things they want, and do not actively save. They also reported that their parents encouraged them to save and gave pocket money only for snacks or buying toys but still did not teach their children enough to be entrepreneurs. Even though there were challenges, all participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the activity, asking lots of questions and following directions from the service team.

Abstract

Certain leadership style factors can be one of the factors that influence employee performance. Employee performance can increase or decrease and can be influenced by authoritarian leadership style and the non-physical work environment in the office. Therefore, researchers are interested in knowing the influence of an authoritarian leadership style and a non-physical work environment on the performance of employees of the Regional Technical Implementation Unit for Public Works and Spatial Planning in Pematang Siantar. Researchers collected data on 50 employees as a sample of 102 employees. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the research show (1) There is a positive and significant influence between authoritarian leadership style on employee performance. (2) There is no positive and significant influence between the non-physical work environment on employee performance. (3) There is an influence of authoritarian leadership style and non-physical work environment simultaneously and together on employee performance.

Abstract

The rapid development of the tourism sector and the business sector in North Sumatra, one of which is Samosir, is a factor in the increasing demand and needs of local and foreign tourists. This research aims to analyse the business feasibility of Silimalombu Village Ecovillage. This research uses SWOT analysis to analyze the development strategy. Technical data analysis used in this research is by means of interviews, observation and documentation. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative analysis. To analyse the financial aspects, the Net Present Value, IRR and Gross B/C Ratio methods were used. While to assess other aspects, factors that are considered important in the assessment are used. The result of this research is that Silimalombu Village Ecovillage is feasible to run and develop. After being analysed using investment criteria, the results found are Gross B / C Ratio 1.69> 1, Net Benefit Cost Ratio 2.63> 1 Probitability Ratio> 1, Net Present Value, 1,682.7> IRR 34%, meaning that the Go project is feasible.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the willingness to pay visitors to the Pematangsiantar City Animal Park and the factors that influence the WTP of the Pematangsiantar City Animal Park. For the research, a sample of 100 people was taken, the sampling was carried out with purposive sampling technique. Sampling of 100 people is considered sufficient considering the population which is the object of research is considered homogeneous. The method used in this study using the TCM model, then continued with multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the average value of the wellingness to pay (WTP) of tourists at the Pematang Siantar Animal Park Tourism Object was Rp. 10,185, -. And the factors that can affect the willingness to pay (WTP) of the Pematang Siantar Animal Park Tourism Object are income, education, travel time, and travel costs have a positive and significant value on the willingness to pay (WTP) of the Pematang Siantar Animal Park Tourism Object.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat edukasi literasi keuangan digital bagi UMKM di Pantai Paris ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi UMKM agar dapat mengelola keuangan dengan lebih baik dan peningkatan pendapatan serta diharapkan UMKM dan masyarakat memiliki pengetahuan literasi keuangan digital. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah, tanya - jawab dan tatap muka dengan para peserta edukasi.  Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah pertama, Pengembangan usaha UMKM Pariwisata atau obyek wisata dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan UMKM terjadi selama ini di Pantai Paris di Nagori Tigaras haruslah mulai dikembangkan kearah pariwisata yang berkelanjutan yang didukung oleh pemerintah daerah melalui program berkelanjutan dan bermanfaat; Kedua,  Literasi keuangan digital yang masih rendah dari UMKM di Pantai Paris masih perlu menjadi perhatian khusus bagi Bank Indonesia, Pemerintah dan Lembaga Keuangan Lainnya agar dapat membantu keberlanjutan dari usaha UMKM tersebut; dan Ketiga, kurangnya perhatian pemerintah daerah untuk menyediakan prasarana dan sarana di sekitar wilayah UMKM di Nagori Tigaras
