Abstract

This study aims to test the significant effect of the application of genially media on the learning interest of class IV students of UPTD SD Inpres Oeba 4. This study uses a Pre-experimental research type with a One Group Pretest-Posttest research design. The subjects of the study were all class IV students of UPTD SD Inpres Oeba 4 Kupang City in the 2024/2025 academic year totaling 21 people. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, observation and documentation. The questionnaire data had been tested for validity before being used. Data analysis was carried out using the Paired sample t-test after normality and homogeneity tests were carried out. The results of the study on the hypothesis test using the Paired sample t-test showed a significant level (2-tailed) of 0.000. These results indicate that the significance (2-tailed) 0.00 <0.05, this makes a significant difference in learning interest in the pretest-posttest values. Based on the research results above, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of genially media on students' learning interest in learning science for class IV UPTD SD Inpres Oeba 4.

Abstract

Meskipun telah mengalami perkembangan yang sangat pesat, tindakan medis dengan memanfaatkan radiasi pengion, sampai saat ini masih banyak mendapatkan penolakan dari pasien dan keluarga. Hal ini disebabkan karena pengetahuan pasien dan keluarga yang minim, sehingga berakibat pada pengambilan keputusan yang keliru. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan tujuan memberikan edukasi bagi pasien dan keluarga, sehingga berdampak pada peningkatan pengetahuan yang mempengaruhi pengambilan keputusan yang benar terkait tindakan medis yang menggunakan radiasi. Media edukasi yang digunakan adalah buku saku yang disusun dengan bahasa yang sederhana dan mudah dipahami. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pendidikan masyarakat dalam bentuk penyuluhan. Responden dalam kegiatan ini adalah pasien dan keluarga yang datang ke poli pelayanan radiologi RSUP dr. Ben Mboi Kupang. Setelah dilaksanakan kegiatan ini, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan pasien dan keluarga secara signifikan. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyuluhan dengan media buku saku efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan pasien dan keluarga tentang radiasi pengion di bidang medis.

Abstract

This study, entitled The Effect of Guided Inquiry Learning Model on Students’ Learning Outcomes on the Human Respiratory System Material for Grade V Students of SD Inpres Kuanino 3, aims to analyze whether there is an effect of the guided inquiry learning model and the problem-based learning model on students’ learning outcomes in the human respiratory system material, as well as to examine whether there are differences in learning outcomes between students taught using the guided inquiry model and those taught using the problem-based learning model. This research employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a non-equivalent group design. The population and sample of this study consisted of all fifth-grade students of SD Inpres Kuanino 3, totaling 40 students. The data collection techniques used were documentation and tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the Paired Sample t-Test with the assistance of SPSS version 27 for Windows. The results of the study indicate that there were significant differences in students’ learning outcomes before and after the implementation of both learning models. In the guided inquiry learning model, the students’ average score increased from 38.25 on the pre-test to 83.25 on the post-test, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a highly significant improvement in learning outcomes. Meanwhile, the problem-based learning model also improved students’ learning outcomes, with the average score increasing from 33.5 to 69.25, although the improvement was lower than that of the guided inquiry model. The comparison between the two models shows that the guided inquiry learning model is more effective than the problem-based learning model in improving students’ learning outcomes on the human respiratory system material.

Abstract

This study aims to improve IPAS learning outcomes on the subject of the humanrespiratory system through a problem based learning model in grade V at SD InpresSikumana 2 in Kupang City. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR),which was carried out in two cycles, consisting of the stages of planning,implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques were carried outthrough obervation of teacher and student activities, as well as learning outcome tests.The subjects of this study were 28 grade students, consisting of 15 boys and 13 girls.The results of the study showed a significant increase in learning outcomes, learningcompleteness increased from 50% in cycle I to 86% in cycle II. Thus, it can beconcluded that the application of the problem based learning model can improve studentlearning outcomes in IPAS learning on the subject of the human respiratory system.
