Abstract

still unreliable and not used consistently in the learning process. This situation has the potential to hinder the media's ability to maximize student understanding of content and learning outcomes. Based on this phenomenon, this study aims to analyze the availability of educational media and its contribution to the learning outcomes of grade IV C students at SDI Oesapa Kecil 1. The method used is a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey methodology applied to 25 students and one teacher in grade IV C. Descriptive statistics were used in data analysis to describe trends in the areas of availability, ease of use, media suitability to content, and student reactions to media use. The study findings indicate that educational media are widely available, easy to use, and able to improve students' understanding of the subject matter and increase their learning motivation. Positive statements are included in the high category, while negative statements are included in the low category, indicating little difficulty in using the media. The mentioned teachers also provided very positive feedback regarding all aspects of educational media. In general, the availability and use of media have a positive impact on the learning outcomes of grade IV C students.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the learning difficulties experienced by fifth-grade students in understanding multiplication at SDI Naikoten 1. The research used a descriptive quantitative approach with 24 students as participants. Data were gathered through questionnaires, classroom observations, and students' written work. A 15-item Likert scale questionnaire was used to measure their level of difficulty. The results show that the average score was 2.61, which falls into the "moderate difficulty" category. Most students (47.22%) experienced moderate difficulty, 33.33% were in the low-difficulty category, and 11.11% faced high difficulty. The study found that students' main challenges came from weak understanding of multiplication concepts, dependence on memorization, frequent mistakes in column multiplication, and limited use of concrete teaching aids. Observations and documentation supported these findings by showing similar patterns of conceptual and procedural errors. Overall, the study concludes that students' difficulties arise from both cognitive and instructional factors. Teachers are encouraged to strengthen conceptual understanding using concrete media, apply differentiated teaching, and conduct ongoing formative assessments to support students with different learning needs.

Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) is a government priority policy aimed at improving children's nutritional status, promoting learning readiness, and supporting equitable distribution of educational quality. Adequate nutrition is closely related to students' cognitive development, stamina, and learning resilience, thus influencing their school attendance. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the implementation of the MBG Program and the attendance of fifth-grade elementary school students. The study used a quantitative, descriptive correlational approach, with a sample of 28 fifth-grade students, drawn using a saturated sampling technique. The instruments used were a 3-point Likert scale questionnaire and student attendance data documentation. The descriptive analysis showed an average score of 1.86 for students' perceptions of MBG, which falls into the "tend to agree" category. The median was in the "Agree" category, while the mode was in the "Disagree" category. Despite variations in perceptions, the general trend indicated a positive assessment of the MBG program. Attendance documentation data showed that students with positive perceptions of MBG had higher and more stable attendance rates. These findings indicate a positive relationship between students' perceptions of MBG and attendance, although the study did not use inferential statistical tests. Overall, the implementation of MBG is considered to have contributed to improving students' physical readiness, energy, and motivation to learn, thus increasing their school attendance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine elementary school teachers’ perceptions of the use of digital media in improving students’ reading literacy. The integration of digital technology in learning raises various concerns related to teachers’ preparedness, the availability of digital resources, and the alignment of digital media with the goals of reading instruction. Therefore, this research focuses on identifying teachers’ attitudes, experiences, and expectations in utilizing digital media in reading instruction at the elementary level. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, with questionnaires serving as the primary data collection instrument to obtain information regarding teachers’ perceptions and the factors that influence them. The questionnaire is designed to explore aspects such as the usefulness of digital media, ease of use, availability of digital infrastructure, and the challenges that teachers may encounter.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teachers’ perceptions of the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (Program Makan Bergizi Gratis/MBG) at SD GMIT Oepura. The MBG program is a national policy initiated by the Indonesian government to improve students’ nutritional status, health, and learning readiness, as well as to reduce stunting among school-age children. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a survey method. The subjects consisted of 19 elementary school teachers who were directly involved in and had adequate knowledge of the MBG program implementation. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire using a Likert scale, which measured six main indicators: teachers’ understanding of the MBG program, program implementation, food quality and suitability, program impact on students, implementation constraints, and teachers’ attitudes and support toward the program. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques by calculating mean scores and categorizing them based on predetermined criteria. The results indicate that teachers’ understanding of the MBG program is categorized as “understand,” program implementation is perceived as “good,” and food quality and suitability are considered “appropriate” according to students’ nutritional needs. The program is also perceived to have a positive impact on students, particularly in improving health conditions and learning motivation. However, several challenges were identified, including limited food storage facilities, coordination issues among stakeholders, and potential disruptions to classroom learning activities. Despite these constraints, teachers demonstrate positive attitudes and strong support for the sustainability of the MBG program. These findings highlight the important role of teachers as key implementers of the program and emphasize the need for improved coordination, adequate infrastructure, and continuous evaluation to optimize the effectiveness and sustainability of the Free Nutritious Meal Program in elementary schools.
