Abstract

This study aims to analyze the empowerment of business communities affected by natural and non-natural disasters in Palu City. This study used a quantitative approach. The population of this study was business actors affected by natural and non-natural disasters in Palu City. The population of this study was 110 business actors. The sample was determined using the census technique. Thus, the entire population was involved as samples. Data were collected by observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data were analyzed statistically using a t-test. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in community empowerment of business actors affected by natural and non-natural disasters in Palu City. The differences are caused by the different responses to natural and non-natural disasters as the characteristics of disasters are indeed different so the treatment is also different. Based on the results of this study, knowledge, and skills are needed in facing a natural disaster, while the ability to evaluate is more important during the non-natural disaster condition.

Abstract

Agriculture is one of very important sectors supporting regional economy.  Therefore, it is crucial for the regional government to develop existing potential agricultural sectors in its region.  The research aimed at analyzing and descripting human resources potency of agricultural extension in Sigi district.  The method of this research was designed qualitatively and analyzed descriptively aimed at depicting the research results entirely based on data that linked to the potency of agricultural human resources in Sigi district. The population of this research was purposively determined from the agricultural extension workers.  Primary and secondary data were collected through observations, interviews, and researching documents related to the research.  The human resources in Sigi district are potential in providing agricultural extension to farmers although not yet optimal due to their limited knowledge and education.  This condition should lead to comprehensive training for the workers in order to support their tasks as the extension workers.The research also showed that another problem faced by them is limited accessibility resulted from lack of infrastructure and this affects the performance of the workers in the field. Keywords: Agriculture, farmer, and human resources.

Abstract

This study describes the knowledge management applied by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in both natural and non-natural disaster conditions. SMEs need innovation and creativity to maintain business continuity so the application of knowledge management is important as limited resources greatly affect it. Therefore SMEs need to innovate and show their creativity to get out of the slump caused by the disaster. This study used a quantitative approach by conducting statistical tests and comparative tests. This study involved 200 SMEs affected by natural and non-natural disasters as the population, while the sample size was based on the Slovin formula and was determined randomly. The results of the study showed that there were differences in the knowledge management applied by SMEs during natural and non-natural disaster conditions.

Abstract

Promosi merupakan aktivitas penting untuk meningkatkan penjualan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM). Salah satu strategi promosi yang efektif untuk mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian konsumen menggunakan katalog produk, baik cetak maupun digital. Katalog tidak hanya menampilkan informasi produk namun juga mempromosikan keunggulan produk tersebut. Karenanya Pemerintah Kabupaten Sigi membuat program Katalog Cinta Produk Lokal Sigi yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan promosi di bidang ekonomi khususnya bagi para pelaku UMKM. Metode yang digunakan dalam menganalisis masalah yang ada adalah metode kualitatif. Dampak program Katalog Cinta Produk Lokal Sigi memberikan pengaruh yang sangat baik bagi pelaku-pelaku usaha di Kabupaten Sigi, karena dengan adanya program tersebut membuat pendapatan mereka lebih meningkat dari sebelum adanya program katalog dan banyak dari kalangan-kalangan masyarakat bahkan perangkat- perangkat daerah yang mengetahui usaha mikro tersebut dari Katalog Cinta Produk Lokal Sigi.

Abstract

The World Health Organization has declared Covid-19 as a pandemic that has posed a contemporary threat to humanity. This pandemic has successfully forced global shutdown of several activities, including educational activities, and this has resulted in tremendous crisis-response migration of universities with online learning serving as the educational platform. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of online learning (e-learning) performance in the new normal era in the learning process at Tadulako University. The population of this study were lecturers and students at Tadulako University, while the sampling was carried out simply randomly it is means the entire population has the opportunity to be sampled. Source of data in this research comes from primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out interactively. The results of the study concluded that the higher education management at Tadulako University was mostly not ready to adopt an e-learning educational approach as an alternative to teaching and learning during COVID-19. This study also identified e-learning packages that were mostly adopted (WhatsApp forum, Zoom meeting, Google Classroom, Learning Management System, and Webinar) by institutions during COVID-19. The majority of staff and students do not agree to have easy access to computers. Staff and students also indicated their training needs on the use of the e-learning platform.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilandasi oleh masalah program kreativitas mahasiswa di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Tadulako yang masih sulit untuk bersaing di tingkat nasional. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka kegiatan pelatihan ini perlu dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman mahasiswa yang akan mengikuti program kreativitas mahasiswa hingga ke tingkat nasional. Hasil pengabdian ini menggambarkan bahwa program kreativitas mahasiswa merupakan program yang dapat mendorong dan mengeksplorasi bakan dan minat mahasiswa melalui sebuah kompetisi yang ketat, sehingga pelatihan terhadap mahasiswa yang akan mengikuti program kreativitas mahasiswa sangat perlu dilakukan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa belum memiliki pengetahuan dan pemahaman terhadap pedoman program kreativitas mahasiswa sehingga berdampak pada kualitas proposal yang mereka buat.

Abstract

Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) merupakan salah satu unsur pemangku kepentingan yang berasal dari masyarakat yang tentunya memiliki peran strategis dalam mengembangkan serta mengelola potensi kekayaan alam dan budaya yang dimiliki suatu daerah untuk menjadi daerah tujuan wisata, khususnya di Desa Towale Kabupaten Donggala. Pengabdian ini memfokuskan pada pokok sosialisasi peran Pokdarwis dalam pengembangan pariwisata yang pada akhirnya meningfkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Tahapan pengabdian ini terdiri dari pra dan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengabdian ini telah memberikan pemahaman secara materi kepada peserta atau kelompok sadar wisata tentang pentingnya dan tahapan-tahapan dalam pengelolaan kepariwisataan. Setelah mengikuti materi sosialisasi, sebagian besar masyarakat atau kelompok sadar wisata memahami maksud dan tujuan dari pelaksanaan sosialisasi. Pengetahuan dan pemahaman tersebut dapat membekali kelompok sadar wisata untuk mengembangkan pariwisata di Desa Towale Kabupaten Donggala.

Abstract

This study examines the role of compensation and work environment in influencing employee performance at the Central Sulawesi Province Social Service. This study used a quantitative approach. The population was all employees at the Central Sulawesi Provincial Social Service with 35 people. The determination of the sample used a census technique, which means that the entire population is used as the sample. Data were collected by observing, distributing questionnaires, and tracking secondary data. Data analysis used a multiple regression technique to see the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The results of this study showed that compensation and the work environment simultaneously influence employee performance at the Central Sulawesi Provincial Social Service. Meanwhile, compensation partially does not influence employee performance. On the other hand, the work environment influences employee performance at the Central Sulawesi Provincial Social Service

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan perilaku inovatif sebagai upaya peningkatan kualitas pada produk Kemiri Oil Celebes, sebuah usaha kecil menengah yang memproduksi minyak kemiri tanpa bahan kimia. Fokus penelitian adalah pada strategi pelatihan sumber daya manusia yang dilakukan oleh manajer tim untuk meningkatkan kinerja pemasaran. Menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan wawancara mendalam dengan manajer tim sekaligus pemilik usaha, observasi langsung, dan analisis data sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan yang berfokus pada penggunaan digital marketing dan media sosial berhasil membentuk perilaku inovatif karyawan. Hal ini terbukti dari peningkatan signifikan dalam penjualan produk dari 5 pcs di bulan Agustus menjadi 125 pcs di bulan Januari, serta perluasan jangkauan pasar hingga ke luar Sulawesi. Strategi pemberian target penjualan mingguan dan kebebasan berkreasi kepada karyawan juga berkontribusi pada peningkatan kinerja. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengembangan sumber daya manusia melalui pelatihan yang tepat dan penciptaan lingkungan kerja yang mendukung inovasi sangat penting dalam meningkatkan daya saing UKM. Kata Kunci: Perilaku inovatif, pelatihan SDM, UKM, pemasaran digital, kinerja penjualan     ABSTRACT   This study aims to analyze the implementation of innovative behavior as an effort to improve the quality of Kemiri Oil Celebes products, a small and medium enterprise that produces candlenut oil without chemicals. The research focuses on human resource training strategies conducted by the team manager to enhance marketing performance. Using a qualitative descriptive method, this study involves in-depth interviews with the team manager who is also the business owner, direct observation, and secondary data analysis. The results show that training focused on the use of digital marketing and social media successfully shaped employees' innovative behavior. This is evidenced by a significant increase in product sales from 5 pieces in August to 125 pieces in January, as well as the expansion of market reach beyond Sulawesi. The strategy of setting weekly sales targets and giving employees creative freedom also contributed to performance improvement. This study concludes that human resource development through appropriate training and the creation of a work environment that supports innovation is crucial in enhancing the competitiveness of SMEs. Abstract

This study aims to determine whether job characteristics affect the performance of an employee. This research is designed using a quantitative approach with the purpose of seeing the influence, causal relationship between the variables studied. The population of this study were Central Yamaha Palu employees totalling 44 respondents. The determination of this research sample was determined by the census technique, so that the entire population was used as a research sample. This research data collection includes observation and questionnaires. The data analysis technique of this research is descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. Based on the results of the descriptive statistic and simple regression analysis conducted, there is a positive and significant influence of job characteristics on the performance is 55% of Central Yamaha Palu employees.
