Abstract

In the 21st century, science literacy is the main competence and indicator to achieve better and more sustainable future. However, limited facilities and resources raise as an issue that have implications to the less optimal application of science literacy empowerment in various regions, including in several areas in East Nusa Tenggara. The objective of this community service is to do mentoring program on the empowerment of science literacy for students at emergency schools in NTT. The target is school-age children living in the island who are subjected to illiteracy due to lack of supporting educational facilities. Methods implemented were through these four stages: (1) initial observation of the area, (2) mapping the problem, (3) socializing the programs, and (4) organizing the science literacy movement. The activities carried out were making educational learning media utilizing plastic waste, creating a reading corner equipped with some interesting books as additional references for children and parents to know about the outside world, creating educational games and actions for the natural surroundings. The results of the observation confirm that the community service program run effectively. It is indicated that the community service project is able to foster students’ interest in reading, writing, and arithmetic. This community service activity is expected to take part in the eradicating illiteracy rate and reducing number of productive age dropouts in East Nusa Tenggara Province.

Abstract

This study aims to discover the implementation of CTL and authentic assessment to the science learning outcomes on 4th-grade students of primary school in Kota Kupang. This study is quasi-experimental using a 2 x 2 factorial design. There are 110 students as the population, in which 60 students are appointed as the samples thru a random sampling technique. Data collection uses an objective test method. The data are analyzed using one-way ANOVA and two-way ANOVA that is followed by t-Scheffe test. The results of this study indicate that: (1) there is a difference of learning outcomes between the students who attend the CTL with the conventional learning, (2) there is a difference on the students’ learning outcomes who attend the performance assessment with the project assessment, (3) there is an influence of interaction between the learning model and assessment used to the learning outcomes, (4) there is  difference of the students’ learning outcomes who attend the CTL, in which it is between the students who attend the performance assessment and the students who attend the project assessment, (5) there is a difference of learning outcomes on the students who attend the conventional learning, in which it is between the students who attend the performance assessment and the students who attend the project assessment, (6) there is a difference of learning outcomes on the students who attend the performance assessment, in which it is between the students who attend the CTL and conventional learning, and (7) there is a difference of learning outcomes on the students who attend the project assessment, in which it is between the students who attend the CTL and the students who attend the conventional learning. Hence, the implementation of CTL and authentic assessments toward the science learning outcomes of 4th-grade students of primary school in Kota Kupang.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik yang dbelajarkan dengan model model pembelajaran word square berbantuan media gambar dan kelas yang pembelajarannya menerapkan metode konvensional pada materi konsep organ pernapasan manusia kelas V SD Inpres  Oeba 2 Kota Kupang. Penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experiment)dengan menggunakan rancangan post-test only control group design. Dengan jumlah populasi 46 peserta didik. Nilai posttest dianalis menggunakan uji-T. Hasil diperoleh bahwa thitung = 7,150 dan ttabel = 2.021 taraf 5%. Berati thitung > ttabel, maka adanya perbedaan antara peserta didik yang diajarkan dengan model word square dan peserta didik yang diajarkan dengan metode konvesional. Rerata hasil post-test, berada pada posisi sangat tinggi dengan nilai Mean 68,48 kelompok eksperimen sedangkan kelompok kontrol di kategori sedang dimana hasilnya Mean 61,74. Disimpulkan model pembelajaran word square berbantuan media gambar meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik materi organ pernapasan manusia kelas V SD Inpres Oeba 2 kota kupang tahun ajaran 2019/2020

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar matematika merupakan salah satu masalah yang perlu diselesaikan pada peserta didik di sekolah dasar. Masalah tersebut dikarenakan tidak sesuainya penggunaan model pembelajaran dengan materi, pembelajaran yang kurang menyenangkan, minimnya penggunaan media. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran make a match berbasis 4C berbantuan media kartu bilangan dalam meningkatan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Tindakan kelas dengan model yang digunakan adalah Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi,serta berlangsung sebanyak dua siklus. Subyek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas II MIN 2 Lembata berjumlah 33 orang yan terdiri dari 15 perempuan dan 18 laki-laki. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode nontes berupa lembar observasi dan metode tes berupa tes objektif. Data dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terjadi peningkatan antar siklus sebesar 24,24%, dimana siklus I (72,72%) dan siklus II (96,96%). Hal ini menunjukan bahwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran make a match berbasis 4C berbantuan media kartu bilangan mampu meningkatkan hasl belajar matematika

Abstract

The main focus of this research is related to the study of educational concepts from the perspective of humanistic learning theory in the independent learning curriculum. The type of research used is library research which is taken from several literatures including notes, books, articles, journals and other scientific literature references. The independent curriculum can be viewed and analyzed using educational concepts from the perspective of humanistic learning theory. In the Merdeka Curriculum, the concept of education from the perspective of humanistic learning theory plays an important role. Humanistic learning theory has the aim of humanizing humans. Learning in humanistic theory is said to be successful if students can understand the environment and themselves (achieve self-actualization). And in general, this humanistic theory is a learning theory that prioritizes the learning process, not the learning outcomes. This theory develops the concept of humanizing humans so that students are able to understand themselves and their environment. The process of implementing the independent curriculum in this research is discussed based on a humanistic approach, in accordance with the results of the taxonomy developed. So the results of the dimensions of the independent curriculum taxonomy in the humanistic learning theory approach that have been developed, then look for suitability with the curriculum implementation practices carried out.

Abstract

Concept of faith Kalam experts say that globally faith consists of Al-Tasdiq bi Al-Qalb, Al-Iqrar bi Al-Lisan, and Al-'Amal bi Al-Jawarih. In another editorial it is mentioned as Al-'Amal bi Al-Arkan which means carrying out all the pillars of Islam. In the concept of faith, the differences and similarities of the scholars revolve around this element. In discussing the actions of humans and God. Some say that humans are independent creatures who control themselves. So, what humans do is purely from their actions. There are also those who say that all human actions are from God, and humans do not have any ability to control themselves. Likewise regarding Allah's word, there are those who say that Kalamullah is Qadim, and there are also those who say that Kalamullah is Hadith (new) according to people who say that Kalamullah is a creature. This research was taken from several data and references in the form of relevant articles and analyzed the data by drawing conclusions. In this article we will discuss the comparative flow of Iman and Kufr, Revelation and Reason, the actions of humans and God and their characteristics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar PKn IV pada topik pola hidup bergotong-royong di sekolah dasar MIS AL-Fitrah Oesapa Kota Kupang. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra-ekperimen, dimana hanya menggunakan 1 kelas dalam penelitian. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan one group pretest dan posttest. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV MIS AL-Fitrah Oesapa yang berjumlah 20 siswa, menggunakan nonprobability sampling sampling jenuh sebagai teknik penarikan sampel dimana semua anggota populasi dijadikan sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data yakni tes hasil belajar yang menggunakan soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 25 soal pafa materi pola hidup gotong royong. Hasil penelitian rata-rata untuk kelas pretest adalah 62,00, dan kelas posttest dengan rata-rata 72,50. Dengan berdasarkan hasil uji analisis statistik diperoleh bahwa kedua data berdistribusi normal dan homogen, sehingga pengujian hipotesisi dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji independen sampel t-test. Hasil perhitungan uji-t pretest-posttest pada taraf signifikansi 0.05 dengan df 38 di peroleh nilai sig. 0.000< 0.05 sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 di terima. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya efektivitas model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar PKn IV pada topik pola hidup bergotong-royong di sekolah dasar MIS AL-Fitrah Oesapa Kota Kupang.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum is oriented towards producing quality students who are rooted in the nation's culture and are developed based on a global perspective. The process of making alcoholic beverages, is one example of integration elements of natural science and local wisdom as a form of cultural preservation. However the school still have lack of references and sensitivity to efforts to explore the local wisdom activities of the community, especially in the alcohol-making process.  This research aims to analyse the ethno science study on the alcohol-making process in natural science learning in elementary schools. This study used a qualitative approach and is included in the ethno science research type. The data source in this study was determined through a purposive sampling technique, with two alcohol makers as the subjects. These research’s objects consisted of the alcohol-making process and ethnoscience studies in alcohol making process in natural science learning in elementary schools, which were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis technique employed was the Miles and Huberman model (data reduction, presentation, and verification). The results uncovered that the alcohol-making process it is associated with natural science learning materials in elementary schools, it relates to phase transition, convection (heat transfer), conductors, and energy sources.

Abstract

Kadar hemoglobin yang rendah menandakan seseorang menderita anemia. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi rendahnya kadar hemoglobin yaitu status gizi, siklus menstruasi, pola makan, serta kualitas tidur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan status gizi dan kualitas tidur dengan kadar hemoglobin pada mahasiswi Program Studi Gizi Universitas Tadulako. Metode penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan desain observasional analitik menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 174 orang. Variabel dalam penelitian ini antara lain status gizi, kualitas tidur, dan kadar hemoglobin. Data status gizi diperoleh dengan pengukuran tinggi dan berat badan, data kualitas tidur diperoleh dengan pengisian kuesioner Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) dan kadar hemoglobin diperiksa menggunakan alat digital Easy Touch GCHb. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji Chi Square menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara status gizi dengan kadar hemoglobin (p=0,095) sedangkan kualitas tidur memiliki hubungan dengan kadar hemoglobin (p=0,006). Kebanyakan responden memiliki status gizi yang normal dan sebagian besar responden memiliki kualitas tidur yang baik. Diharapkan responden tetap menjaga status gizi yang baik dan menjaga kualitas tidur sehingga kadar hemoglobin tetap normal.
